It felt like my head was being stabbed continuously.
I let out a scream as I grabbed onto my head.
"Make it stop!" I growled as I glared at the witches who were gathered around me, chanting words that I couldn't understand.
"You need to stop fighting the voice and try understanding it, Luca. That's the only..."
"Enough!" I yelled and in the blink of an eye, I was in front of the Queen of witches and was about to grab her neck when the chanting sound increased and I fell to the ground with a groan.
"You're fighting it and letting the voice control you. Free your mind, Luca" She murmured and I shook my head as I painfully dug my fingers on the ground.
It wasn't working, it was just getting worse.
"I need my wife, get me my wife" I murmured because I really needed her touch and her presence right now.
"I'm sorry but she can't come right now especially since you're not stable. Let's take a break" The Queen of witches uttered and with a snap of her fingers, the voices disappeared.
I let out a sigh of relief as I fell to my knees. That was one of the most excruciating pain I have Ever endured.
"Why didn't you do That sooner?" I asked after a while as I turned to the Queen of witches.
"I can only hold the voices back temporarily. They are the voices of our ancestors, I can't hold them back for too long" She stated and I groaned.
"I can't stand it, it hurts" I said softly and I heard her sigh as she walked up to me and placed her hand on my shoulder.
"It will get better, we just have to keep trying. Annalise?" She called and Annalise immediately ran up to her.
"Yes my Queen" She uttered.
"Run a bath for Luca and make sure you take care of him tonight" She told her and I rolled my eyes as I stood up.
"I don't need anyone to take care of me, all I need is to rest and talk to my wife. Now if you'll excuse me..." l muttered then walked past them.
On my way back to my cottage, I could hear Annalise walking quietly behind me.
"Are you going to keep following me? I told you I didn't need your help" I said without turning to Her.
"You will, trust me. Besides, my Queen already asked me to take care of you and that's what I'm going to do. You're just going to have to accept it" She muttered and I paused in my steps before turning to her.
I stared at her for a while then took several steps towards her while she stared at me with wide eyes.
"And if I don't accept, what are you going to do?" I questioned as I squatted down so we were eye leveled.
She stared at me for a while then gulped before turning away. I smirked then Straightened up.
"Don't follow me, i don't need your help" I told her then turned around and just as I was about to walk away, pain sliced through my head and I groaned as I stumbled on my feet.
Annalise immediately grabbed onto me, placing my arm over her shoulders.
"I said I don't need..."
"Now is not the time to be stubborn, Luca. Let me help you" She said and I pursed my lips as she helped me get to my cottage.
My body was weak so I didn't have the strength to push her away.
"I need my phone" I uttered as I suddenly remembered that my phone was taken away from me at breakfast.
"I'll go get it for you" She said and I sighed. I needed to talk to Delilah as soon as possible.
We got to my cottage and I opened it up with the key. She helped me inside and I let out a suggestion of relief as soon as my body touched the bed.
"I'll go run you a bath" She uttered and was about to walk away when I grabbed her hand.
"Go get me my phone first, i need to speak with my wife" I told her and she carefully pulled her hand out of my grip.
"What you need to do is relax. I will get your phone for you but for now, you Have to relax. You want me out of here as soon as possible right? Then let me do my job And be on my way" She uttered and I knew she was right so I nodded and laid back on the bed as she walked away.
I was already dozing off when she came back and tapped me on the shoulder.
"Your bath is ready" She announced And I was honestly Too tired to have my bath but I needed to look clean if I want to call Delilah Later.
She helped me get to the bathroom and I slammed the door in her face to prevent her from finding a reason why she had to be with me in the bathroom.
After having my bath, I tied my towel around my waist and walked out of the bathroom. Only when I heard Annalise Gasp did I realize that she was still in the room.
"I'm sorry" She immediately said as she turned away and I sighed.
"Why are you still Here and where is my phone?" I asked as I walked towards my luggage.
"I'm not done with my job and I already asked someone to go get it" She informed me and I nodded.
"You better not peek at me or I'll break your little witch neck" I threatened her and I heard her gulp.
After getting dressed, I headed towards my bed and laid down. My whole body was still aching after that bath, especially my shoulders.
My eyes jolted open as soon as I felt Annalise's fingers on my shoulder.
"Get your hands off me before I break them in half" I threatened and she paused slightly then let out a sigh.
"I promise I'm not trying to do anything bad, I'm just trying to help you. Doesn't this help?" She questioned and as much as I didn't want to admit it, it did feel better.
"Annalise..."
"I promise, I'm just Trying to help you. Free your mind and release your body" She murmured and I let out a sigh and closed my eyes.
She was just helping me, this didn't mean anything.
"I need to speak to my wife" I murmured as my eyes drooped with sleepiness.
"I'll get you your phone. Rest a little" She murmured softly and before I knew it, my mind suddenly felt calm and I fell asleep...
