~LUCA~
"Are you ignoring me? Luca?" I rolled my eyes as Annalise followed me from behind. She has been on my tail ever since I left my room.
"Leave me alone Annalise and stop fucking following me around" I muttered without turning back to her and she groaned.
"But why? Did I do something wrong? If I did then..." I turned around, halting her sentence and her steps.
"Let me set things straight with you. If you have any sort of crush on me, I suggest you get rid of it because I love my wife and I will never want anything to do with you. Stay away from me" I warned her then turned around and was about to walk away when she spoke.
"Is this because I spoke to your wife on the phone yesterday? I'm sorry, I just didn't want her disturbing you and..."
"She's my wife, she can never disturb me" I immediately corrected her.
"I know that now and I'm sorry. I've never had a brother or a male friend before. I just wanted to know how it felt, I didn't have any bad intentions but if you're not comfortable with me then I'll stop bothering you" She uttered and I sighed, instantly feeling bad.
Before I could call out her name, she had already turned around and walked away.
I let out a sigh then shook my head before walking towards the meditation ground.
Unlike yesterday, Annalise kept her distance away from me. It didn't bother me that much but I felt guilty for insinuating that she liked me when she just wanted a friend or a brother figure.
I also noticed that she didn't really talk to any of the other witches here except her mother and the other witch that walked beside her mother.
Meditation soon came to an end and I glanced around and noticed Annalise was gone. I didn't think too much of it and headed to breakfast with the queen of witches and the rest.
I made sure not to carry my phone this time.
"Where is Annalise?" The Queen of witches asked as we all sat down to eat.
It was a long table so all the witches gathered around to eat together.
"I'm here mother" Annalise uttered as she walked up to us.
"You're late. Well, take your seat" The Queen of witches said and yesterday, Annalise sat next to me and that happened to be the only available seat for now.
She glanced at me then pursed her lips before turning to the Queen Of witches.
"Is there somewhere else I can sit for breakfast? Genevive, would you mind switching seats with me?" She asked and the Queen of witches glanced between us.
"Did something happen between you two?" She questioned and Annalise shook her head.
"I just don't want to make Luca uncomfortable anymore so I should just switch seats" She murmured and I frowned as everyone turned to me.
"Does Annalise make you uncomfortable, Luca?" The Queen of witches asked and I sighed.
"She doesn't make me uncomfortable but it's best if she keeps her distance. I have a wife and I don't want her thinking there is something going on between us" I explained to her and she sighed.
"I'm sure Annalise knows her boundaries. She was just very excited when she heard you were coming because you've kind of been her idol since you stopped Kain from destroying us" The Queen of witches revealed.
"Mother" Anbalise called out as her cheeks turned pink with embarrassment.
"I'm just trying to let him know that you know your boundaries. She has always wanted a brother, sadly I wasn't able to give her one and I know she sees a brother in you but if you feel uncomfortable with her around then I'll make sure she gives you space. Genevive? You can switch seats with Annalise..."
"Don't worry, Annalise can sit here" I interjected And Annalise's eyes widened.
"Are you sure? I..."
"Don't worry, you can sit next to me" I said with a slight smile. I wasn't about to make myself stay here awkward plus she was the only one I really talked to here even though I've not been here for long.
As long as she knew her boundaries then it shouldn't be a problem.
She moved over and took a seat before smiling up at me. I smiled back slightly before focusing on my food.
We all ate in silence and after we were gone, I went for training again and although it wasn't as agonising as the first day, it still hurt and all my body ached.
"You're being impatient and that's why it's hard for you to fully grasp onto the power that has been invested in you. I know you wish to go back to your home but unless you stop being impatient, that wish may turn into a dream. We'll try harder tomorrow, you can go rest now" She said to me with a pat on my shoulder.
"When can my wife come visit me? I really need to see her" I told her and she smiled.
"When you make progress so keep trying harder. Goodnight" She uttered then turned around and walked away.
I let out a sigh as my shoulders sagged. I really missed Delilah, I missed everyone. This was harder than I thought.
"I thought you did well on your second try. Before you know it, you'll be going home" Annalise uttered behind me and I turned to her.
"I hope" I replied before leaving the cave. We headed towards my cottage and we didn't say a word to each other till we got to my door.
"Does this mean we are back to being friends?" She asked just as I was about to open the door.
I let out a sigh then turned to her and she was staring up at me with wide eyes.
"One, never should you answer my phone calls. Two, I don't want you entering my room and no massages..."
"But it helped you" She interjected and I glared at her.
"Do you want us to be friends or not?" I asked and she giggled before placing her hand on her chest.
"I won't ever pick your calls and I will never Enter your room or give you massages without your permission. Anything else?" She asked and I sighed.
"Respect my boundaries. If for one second, you break It..."
"I won't, I promise. So we are friends now?" She asked and I stared at her for a while then smiled.
"We are friends. I've never had a sister so if you want, you can take me as your brother" I told her and her eyes widened before she squealed.
"Boundaries!" I uttered as she was about to hug me. She immediately moved away, the smile still on her face.
"Then I'll call you Brother Luca from now on"...
