"Oh goddess, I can't eat anymore" I groaned as I leaned back on my seat while rubbing my stomach.
Morning breakfast had been amazing so Russo stayed over to cook for lunch and Dinner. I didn't mind because not only was he handling lunch and dinner but he took care of Mia as well and she had easily warmed up to him.
She was currently asleep so Russo and I used that medium to have dinner together.
"I told you not to eat the whole thing" He stated as he picked up the plate and walked towards the sink to watch them up.
"But it was so good. You really are a very good chef, Russo. Where did you learn how to cook like this?" I asked, still slumped over my seat.
"It just came natural to me. Rebecca and I had to do with whatever we saw so I tried my best to make sure it tasted good and voila, I just knew what to do with the right ingredients. Of course, it wasn't always good but over the years, I improved Tremendous. Rebecca tells me I'm the best chef in the world and one day, I wish to open my own restaurant" He uttered and I smiled slightly.
"I can help you with that" I said and he paused before turning to me.
"Help me with what exactly?" He asked.
"I will tell my brother about having a restaurant built for you" I told him and he gasped, nearly dropping the plate in his hand on the floor.
"No, that's too much. You're already housing us in your pack and..."
"More people need to taste your food, Russo. It was so amazing that I am tempted to keep you here just so you can cook for me but since it's your dream to open a restaurant then why not? All the restaurants here, their food isn't as great as yours" I said to him and he shook his head.
"Delilah, I don't think..."
"It's fine, really. Besides, by doing this, you're proving that you being here is worth it. Damon is absolutely going to love it" I said to him with a smile and he stared at me for a while then placed the plate on the sink before walking over and wrapped gua arms tightly around me.
I froze for a while because other than Luca, Dimitri, my dad and occasionally, Damon, no other man had ever hugged me before.
"This Means so much to me, thank you. How could I ever repay you?" He murmured before pulling away and I smiled at the sincere joy in his eyes.
"You can repay me by making sure all my food is free at your restaurant" I said to and he grinned.
"Deal. I'll Always bring You food as well and if I have any new dish I want to try out, you and Rebecca would be the first to try it out" He stated and I smiled.
"That's good then. I'll call Damon and tell him so you better be prepared to be booked and busy" I told him and he chuckled.
"Thank you once again" He murmured then practically skipped back to the sink and quickly watched the plates while humming a song. I smiled at him then went over to check on Mia to make sure she was still sleeping.
"I have to go. I can't wait to tell Rebecca the good news. She's going to practically throw herself at your feet" He uttered giddily As he walked towards the door.
"Wait, you haven't told me what you wanted. I promised if I liked your food, I would grant you a favour so what is it?" I asked as he paused by the door before turning to me.
"You're already doing a lot for me so it would be selfish to ask for more so instead, I'll promise you something" He stated and I raised an eyebrow.
"Promise me? Okay, What is it?" I asked and he flashed me a small smile.
"To make you smile everyday. The first day we met, you gave us forced smiles And the sadness behind your eyes saddened me for some reason so I'll make it my job to make you smile everyday" He uttered and my eyes widened as I just stared at him, unable to say anything.
"Russo..."
"See you tomorrow" He interjected then winked before leaving and I just stood there for a solid minute. Was he flirting with me?
Before I could fully process it, my phone rang. I immediately ran towards it and as smile appeared on my face when I saw that it was Luca.
"Hey" My heart skipped a beat as soon as I heard his breathy voice.
"Hey. You sound Tired" I murmured as I took a seat on the couch and he sighed.
"I am tired but I missed you and couldn't go to bed without talking to you. Can we switch this to face time? I want to see your face" He uttered and I nodded before quickly switching it to face time and as soon as we saw each other, a full blown smile appeared on our face.
Luca looked like he wasn't getting enough sleep even though he had only been there for two days but nevertheless, he was still handsome and goddess, I missed him.
"Fuck, you're beautiful. I missed that face" He uttered and my cheeks heated up.
"You don't have to lie, I know i look like trash. I didn't dress up because you're not here so I have no one to look good for" I told him and he hummed in satisfaction.
"Good but you don't need to dress to be beautiful, baby. No matter what, you're the most beautiful woman I've ever laid eyes on and I can't wait to See you again" He murmured and I pouted.
"Me too. When will I be able to see you?" I asked and he sighed.
"They said when I've made progress, then you can come visit me so I'm trying my hardest but hopefully, soon. How was your day? How's Mia?" He asked and I smiled.
"She's still sleeping. I don't know what Russo did to her but this is the longest she has slept in a while. He's really good with kids" I Uttered and Luca went quiet for a while and I watched as a frown appeared on his face.
"Who's Russo?" He asked and my eyes widened slightly. I just realised I didn't tell him about them.
"Oh Dimitri Brought him and his sister in yesterday. They have settled in quickly. Dimitri has a think for his sister so" I told him.
"How old are they?" He Asked and I furrowed My eyebrows as I wondered Why he was asking that question.
"She should be around my age and he should be like a year older than me. Why?" I asked.
"And you let him inside the house? You let him close to you?" He asked and I frowned.
"He's a member of the pack. Am I not supposed to let him in?" I questioned.
"You were angry at me yesterday for letting Annalise into my room and you went ahead to do the same thing?" He asked and i scoffed.
"Do the same thing? First of all, he only stayed in the living room and in the kitchen, I didn't take him into a room and secondly, he didn't massage my shoulders, Now did he?" I asked and Luca frowned.
"Delilah..."
"We have only been apart for two days. Where is all this mistrust coming from? Even when I found out about Annalise, I trusted you but told you I didn't trust her" I uttered and his face softened.
"I never said I didn't trust you, Delilah. I just... I just don't want any other man close to you" He explained.
"So what you're saying is that I can't be friends with other men?" I asked.
"Delilah..."
"Are you still friends with Annalise?" I asked and he pursed his lips.
"Delilah wait..."
"So you are still friends with her even after what I said?" I questioned and he sighed.
"She doesn't see me that way. She sees me as a brother figure and..."
"She fucking likes you, Luca. I'm not dumb" I said and he frowned.
"No one said you were but..."
"But what? Just because she told you she didn't have feelings For you and because she said she saw you as a brother, you completely disregarded what I said? Do you think I'm being paranoid?" I asked and his eyes widened.
"Delilah, can we calm down and talk..."
"No. If you keep up being friends with Annalise then you cannot tell me who I can and cannot be friends with. Goodnight" I muttered then hung up before he could get a word out and immediately, he began calling me back but I immediately switched off my phone and threw it on the couch then grabbed a pillow and screamed into it.
It's just two days and we are already quarreling?...
