I watched from the sideways as Russo immediately got into character and was fully immersed in the dishes that he was preparing.
Clara had asked him to prepare the dishes he was most comfortable with and he went for Rebecca's favourite food and a few others.
Rebecca stayed by his side, helping him with minor things like chopping and making sure he had all the ingredients he needed.
"Damon is sulking" I pointed out as soon as Clara came to stand beside me. We both turned towards Damon and he had a pout on his face while he rocked sleeping Mia in his arms.
Hunter and Heaven were busy watching their favourite cartoon.
"Let him sulk for a while" She replied and I smiled.
"How are you? Sorry I haven't been able to visit. Hunter and Heaven are about to start kindergarten and I'm just preparing myself mentally for it. They're growing up too fast" She murmured and I nodded.
"They are and I totally understand. Mia has been very good these past few days, almost like she can sense that her dad isn't around. It's not as hard as it was and I'm really grateful for that" I told her and she heaved a sigh of relief.
"That's good to hear. What about things between you and Luca? Are you both okay? I heard you both quarrelled recently" She uttered and I raised an eyebrow.
"Don't tell me... did Damon really play you that voice note?" I asked and she chuckled.
"He definitely did and he did get lucky last night" She replied as she wiggled her eyebrows and I grimaced.
"I really did not need to know that" I muttered and she giggled.
"Anyway, just so you know, I'm on your side. I know how oblivious men can be to the feelings of other women. I went through it with Alicia" She uttered.
"Right? As soon as I spoke to her, I knew that she wanted him. My name is clearly saved as his wife on his phone and she answered like I was some stranger and she was the wife. She was trying to make me insinuate that she was spending the night with him" I said and she nodded.
"We are not going to let her succeed. She can try but she's never going to get Luca to see her that way. They may be stupidly oblivious but they're loyal and we have all been through enough with each other to know that nothing can break us apart except us" She said to me and I smiled before hugging her.
"I'm happy to call you my sister in law" I murmured and she giggled.
"Me too"
Soon after, the whole house was filled with a sweet aroma and my stomach began to grumble Instantly.
Heaven and Hunter had stopped watching their cartoon and were watching Russo earnestly with drools practically rolling down their cheeks.
Even Mia had woken up due to the smell and I had to feed her in the meantime.
Russo rounded up his cooking while Rebecca helped in setting the delights. We were all seated by the table as Russo placed the different dishes he made on the table.
It was so surprising how many dishes he was able to make within a short time.
"So ahh... I made these five dishes to Try" He began before opening the first one.
"This is Lobster Thermidor. It's a lobster Dish that is cooked in wine and mustard sauce, returned to its shell, topped with cheese and broiled. It's a French cuisine" He explained and I nodded with an impressed expression On my face.
It looked amazing.
"This is butternut Squash risotto. It's a creamy arborio rice slow cooked in roasted squash, broth, parmesan and thyme" He opened the next one.
"This is my favourite" Rebecca Immediately said then sank back behind Russo when we all turned to her and she laughed.
"Yes, this is her favourite. This is handmade pierogi with caramelised onions. It's dumpling Stuffed with potatoes, cheese and meat and pan fried then topped with buttered onions. Rebecca likes this one because she said it tasted like a mother's hug" He explained and my heart almost melted again.
Clara and I exchanged a look and I knew we were thinking the same thing.
"This is braised short ribs which I'm sure isn't news to any of us but mine is cooked with secret Ingredients so it's unlikely anyone you have ever tasted before" Russo uttered and I smiled when I saw how proud he was of his dishes.
"Lastly, French onion soup with Gruyère toast. It's sweet caramelised onions in rich beef broth, topped with cheesy toast and baked. Enjoy" Immediately he said that, Rebecca immediately began serving us starting from the first dish and it's easy to say that we finished it all in seconds.
"That was amazing uncle Russo" Heaven was the first to say and Hunter agreed with her.
"Yeah, can you cook for us everyday?" Hunter asked and Russo chuckled.
"I'm sure my food isn't as good as Queen Luna's little buddy" He replied and Clara let out a nervous Laugh.
"About that, I'm not really a good cook" She confessed and Hunter nodded.
"Mama food isn't nice at all" He said out loud earning a glare from Damon.
"Watch your mouth, Hunter. Your mother's food happens to be my favourite" Damon said as he turned to Clara who smiled at him.
"I love you mama" Hunter uttered, as if sensing he had said something he shouldn't have and Clara grinned before carrying him in her arms.
"Don't worry, mama isn't mad. I won't eat my own food" She uttered and they both giggled.
"It was amazing, Russo. I'm almost tempted to keep you to myself so you can keep cooking for us" Clara joked and I gasped.
"That's exactly what I said but I think The whole pack needs to taste this, right Damon?" I uttered as I turned to Damon who was seated with a stoic look on his face as he stared down at Russo, making him shift uncomfortably.
"Oh don't start acting nonchalant now, I saw how much you were enjoying it. You nearly choked because of how fast you were eating and you're Normally not a fast eater" Clara pointed out and Kain cleared his throat out of embarrassment while Heaven giggled.
"Dada liked it" She added And Damon sighed before turning to her with a smile. He carried her in his arms before turning to Russo and for the first time, he smiled at him.
"This Was amazing. I thoroughly enjoyed it and like Delilah said, it's better if the whole pack gets a taste of your magic. I'll have a restaurant built for you. It should be ready In a week" Damon said and Rebecca squealed as she jumped on Russo who held her tightly as he chuckled but I could see the tears brewing in his eyes from how happy he was.
I turned to Damon and gave him a hand squeeze.
"Thank you" I mouthed and he shrugged with a lazy smile playing on his lips.
"There's a catch. Before the restaurant is ready, you have to keep coming here to cook for us. Deal?" Damon uttered and I chuckled.
"I Knew You were going to like it!"...
