In a valley of flowers, he stood there. The clouds loomed high above and slightly clouded over the bright and blinding sun. Unaffected by the life that surrounded him, he stood amidst it as it only accentuated his beauty further. He was a sight to behold as words could not perfectly describe the way he looked.
His midnight blue hair lit up like the night sky filled with stars, his pale countenance only looked more dazzling beneath the radiant sun, his pale peach colored lips looked inviting as they enhanced the gentle smiled that was displayed on his face, and his two golden orbs that reflected a silhouette basked in warmth.
How he had longed to see this day where 'he' would look at him like this. He stood there staring at the man he had longed to be with. He wanted to pull him into his arms and hold him close, to feel the life flow in him, the heartbeat that would sync in with his, and breathe in the rare scent of a mix of ylang ylang, frankincense, and jasmine.
He stood there dazed.
For what seemed like the passing of an eternity, the two figures stood apart in the tranquil valley. It wasn't until he couldn't stand it any longer and finally called out. Only then, did the serene atmosphere shatter, "Uriel."
The archangel heed his call and looked to him. The smile on those lips bloomed more brightly as their gazes met with each other. It was a smile that was out of this world and could put any flower to shame. He affectionately answered, "Adriel."
His heart pounded fiercely in his chest, hearing his name called so earnestly. He pinched his arm to make sure that this wasn't a dream. He looked at his hands, he could feel it. This wasn't a dream. His lips lifted into a uniformly curved bow shape. He strode over, the distance between the two slowly closed. He could feel the wind pass by him, the smell of the flowers flowing in the air, and the warm lights of the sun touching his skin.
Three steps away. Two steps away. One step away, now he was finally in front Uriel. He pulled the man into his arms and rubbed his head into the nook of his neck and shoulder, "Don't leave me behind again."
He did not know what overcame him as emotions that he didn't know that he had rushed out of him. As if it was something that he had hidden deep inside of his heart for a very long time.
The person in his arms did not struggle against his hold and embraced him back. His voice was very soothing and mellifluous, "Mmn."
He felt the tears being squeezed from his eyes, "Stay here. Be with me. I love you."
Uriel, "I love you too, love."
Adriel, "I love you so much. I can't bear to part with you again."
Uriel was quiet this time, "..."
Adriel pleaded, "I love you. I will always love you, and will continue to love you forevermore... So, please... Don't leave me behind."
This was the first time he had ever let anyone see him at his weakest. He was at his most vulnerable state right now, but he didn't care. In front of his lover, he did not care to hide or put up any pretenses. He bared every out for him to see.
After not hearing an answer, he pulled back and looked at Uriel. He searched those eyes for an answer, but what he was met with was a deep hollowness in the golden orbs. His faced held a pained expression and he laughed dryly, "So no matter what I say, you won't stay with me?"
His grip tightened onto Uriel's shoulder and arms, his eyes surged with madness and insanity. Before his anger could erupt, cold delicate hands touched his cheeks, "I will stay with you. Don't be sad."
At this response, Adriel furrowed his brows. Though he had yearned to hear these words, when it was said.... It did not seem right. He carefully scrutinized Uriel, then his chilly voice seemed to pierce right into Uriel, "This isn't real. You would never say this..."
He looked around and finally recalled that Kasimir and him were looking for Uriel, when he came to them. They had been captured by Uriel... So how did he get here? Did he take him somewhere? He shook his head. The Uriel he knew would never act like this.
Then Adriel came to a realization and he narrowed his eyes as fury burst forth. How could he? He pushed the 'Uriel' in his arms off and raised his hands. He dare to play this trick on him? Did he think that he was a kid?
Adriel, "Diakopi¹."
Crack!
The environment around him suddenly fractured in many places. The cracks rippled across at the speed of light. He closed his hand and his surrounding suddenly fell apart. Shards of what was once the scenic millieu was crushed into fine powder. The 'Uriel' that had stood before was now gone along with the spell.
His different pale eyelids flew open. His heterochroma eyes overflowed with acerbity. I will find you, Uriel.
---
In a crowded city, he was standing amid the mortals as they pestered along with their mundane life. He had long back hair that reached down to his back and two red eyes. How long has he been here? Where was he before he came here? He looked around, perplexed at his own purblind state.
Just as he was trying to recall the events that lead up to where he was. He heard someone call out to him, "Xiao Jun!"
When he turned around, his appearance was no longer that with his long raven colored hair. He had on a white sheep kigurumi that matched with his height and size that had shrunk down. His crimson eyes turned to that of a deep chestnut brown that was almost black.
His tiny feet scampered over, "Mommy!"
He saw a tall young man stand before him, his eyes glistened. Mommy. Mommy. Mommy was really here! He latched onto those long legs and rubbed his face against it. He whimpered, "Don't leave me, mommy."
"I love you, mommy."
"I missed you."
The young man rubbed his head affectionately, "En. I'll always be here with you, Xiao Jun."
He bent down and picked up Xiao Jun Kai and held him in his arm. Xiao Jun Kai placed his tiny hands onto that person's face. They had short black hair that was paired with two sapphire peach blossom eyes. The curvature of those pale red lips made his heart feel all bubbly inside. He had always loved his mother's smile.
Xiao Jun Kai wrapped his arms around Xie Ying's neck and whispered, "Mommy, promise me."
"Stay here."
"Don't leave. I will be good. I won't go off again."
His tears poured out, "Don't go, please. Mommy, I miss you."
His arms tightened, "I miss you so much."
He began to bawl his eyes out as the person cooed and rubbed his back. How he had missed these arms that surrounded him. The scent. His warmth. His voice. He had dreamt of it a thousand times, but they were only dreams. His voice became hoarse as he drunk in this precious moment. I'm sorry, I'm so sorry. It's all my fault. I'm so sorry. If it hadn't been for me... If it hadn't been for me, you would still be by our side.
At that thought, he stood upright and ceased crying. He looked closely at his 'mother'. Then it clicked in his mind and everything started to fit together in his mind. Memories of a life he had never seen before flash through his mind. That's right. How can you be here? You... I caused your death. How could it be possible that you're here standing before me? He surveyed the area and laughed psychotically. His voice was no longer of that of a young boy, it was much deeper and held a sinister tone to it, "Haha. Why?" Why do you always do this?
He knew that he would always ask 'why', but the other would never respond. He pushed them down onto the ground. His crimson eyes evaded those dark brown eyes and he bared his teeth, "How could you do this?"
Xie Ying looked at him impassively, unfazed by the outrage, "..."
Xiao Jun Kai, no. Kasimir smashed his fists onto the ground. It pulverized the ground, causing cracks to appear. They expanded, like a spider web they reached out everywhere. Like a true demon that had just crawled out of hell. The air he gave off was vicious and frightening.
His eyes snapped opened. Mitera.
