Tears flowed uncontrollably down his eyes. The mark on his palm had completely faded away. He smashed his fists onto the ground. He had been too late. Too late to stop it. Too late to help him. Too late to do anything for him. Adriel hunched over and continuously punched the ground, his fist began to bleed profusely. What was the use of anything that they did? He couldn't change the fact that Uriel was now gone. The vision that he had seen came true.
He sunk into the sea of madness and embraced the darkness that had pervaded him long ago. If this world rejects you, then I shall destroy this world and create one where you can freely live in it with me. Adriel stood up. His body language had gone through a drastic change. He was much too calm for a man who had just lost the person he treasured the most. He looked at Kasimir and with a wave his hand, the branches wrapped around the grey flower and took it within it's embrace and disappeared.
He let out a smile that gave everyone else in the room chills. Even God was shaken by Adriel's demeanor. He outstretched his hand, "Sikonomai¹."
Black portals appeared all around them and demons started crawling out. Barachiel, one of the remaining archangels demanded with an authoritative voice, "Kin of Solomon, what is the meaning of this?"
Adriel's eyes narrowed as his lips curved upward with malice, "Silence."
He had heard enough of their sordid lies and their pompous excuses. His voice was increasingly cold and chilled their hearts. In a split second, Bael who had been recuperating appeared out of the portal and lunged at Barachiel. His head was cleanly cut off and his headless body fell thump to the floor. Blood poured out from his neck wound as Bael gave out a eerie smile and licked his bloody fingers.
Adriel ordered under absolute command, "Leave nothing alive."
His ring glowed with a murderous red light and marks on the demon's body illuminated as well. After those words, all hell broke lose. A multitude of demons bolted forward. Their glowing purple and yellow eyes were filled with mirthfulness and their hedonistic smiles gave off a feeling of dark pleasure. They were like merciless and savage animals as they bore into their enemies.
The angels were still in a state of shock. How could Bael kill Barachiel, one of the seven heavenly commanders? How strong were the demons? Their mind became hysterical looking at their fallen brethren and leader. They were supposed to be invincible. Raphael's voice snapped them out of their daze, making them regained their senses.
Raphael, "Do not falter. Our Father is here with us."
As soon as those words were said, Adriel shot down Raphael's words of encouragement belligerently, "Don't worry. He will soon join you too."
Raphael glared at Adriel and spat out, "Ungrateful ingrate."
Adriel covered his mouth and laughed cynically, "Ahaha. Tell me what I should be grateful for?"
"For being a pawn in your great conquest?"
"For being played around by your self righteous selves?"
"For you killing him? Tell me Raphael, what should I be grateful for? If not for your God's meddlesome self, none of this would've happened."
Raphael scornfully glowered at Adriel, "You have truly fallen low, Solomon."
Adriel smirked, "It took you angels long enough. Unlike Uriel who knew right away, you and your brethren are disappointing. Even after their deaths, Cassiel and the others had no idea who I really was."
He sarcastically remarked, "Maybe I should give you a round of applause."
Raphael sneered, "Cockiness will only blind you and lead to your downfall, Solomon."
Adriel gave a grin that showed off his perfect pearly white teeth, "En."
He disappeared from his spot and reappeared in front of Raphael. His hand gripped onto Raphael's face and pushed forward, slamming Raphael's back onto the ground. The floor caved in from the immense force and cracked apart.
Raphael gasped as he hit the ground. He could feel many of his bones had been broken from this one move.
Adriel looked down at him. His eyes were extremely cold and bloodthirsty, there wasn't a shred of humanity left in him. Not giving Raphael the chance to retaliate, he yanked his head up and smashed it back onto the ground. Again and again, he bashed Raphael's head ruthlessly. By the time he was finished, Raphael's head had been pulverized so bad that you couldn't even tell that the seraph in his hand was Raphael or that it was even a seraph and not just a lump of flesh.
He stood up and turned around. His lips were curved into a beautiful arc shape, his face had splatters of blood on it. He looked like a true madman. The other angels who laid their eyes on him trembled with horror at the ghastly sight.
As the fight progressed, the angels became destitute. Even when the demons were inflicted with a heavy or deep injury, they would act as if nothing had happened and charged at them mindlessly. They weren't like that of the demons that had fought before that had intelligence and knew of pain, but they were like that of marionettes.
Mind numbing howls were heard from within the walls of the Throne room. What made it more chilling was that it had all originated from the angels. Cacophonous laughter came from the demons as it blended with the howling. A haunting and spine chilling hymn played like continuous melody.
It seemed that the more blood was spilled, the higher the blood lust rose in the air.
At a glance, one could tell that the angels were losing horribly. They were ganged up by mindless demons and ripped into shreds of guts and flesh.
As the genocide continued, Adriel walked up to him, "Why didn't you help your 'children'?"
He circled around the throne and smeared his bloody hands on it. He spoke in a very slow and nonchalant voice, "Oh, I forgot.... You can't move."
Adriel gave a petrifying laughter and plunged his hand deep into God's chest. His hand was glowing with a strange light. He inched his face closer to God's face, "Why didn't you save him? Why did you kill him?"
Since Adriel had snapped, he had immobilized God and sapped his energy. He wanted him to watch his very creations turn against and kill each other. It brought him great satisfaction as he watched God's emotionless face crack, showing despair and heartache.
Adriel couldn't careless about this world anymore, it could disappear for all he could care about. This world was meaningless without him here. He suddenly thought of Kasimir in the amidst of his rage and calmed down slightly. What about Kasimir?
The only thought in his mind was 'protect him'. He didn't have a reason why, it just naturally came to him. One thing that he has imprinted in his heart was that he cannot lose Kasimir as he did with Uriel. He is currently within a safe place, that is where he will stay until he has gotten rid of everything. Then.... Then he will... He will... Will.... What will he do then?
Wait for Uriel's soul to reincarnate? He shook his head inwardly, it was long gone already in this world. Though he doesn't know how or why he knew, but he understood that there was no chance of getting Uriel back. So what then...?
Then, he'll tear everything apart and search for him else where. If he's not in this world. He's bound to be in another. Though he cannot see or hear him, he had a gut feeling that Uriel is still alive elsewhere.
He whispered into God's ear, "Do you want to know how your children died?"
Chuckling, he held a finger towards God, "You. I only borrowed your powers and gave it to the demons."
Adriel pointed to the demons who were hunting down the angels mercilessly, "Isn't that pretty?"
Their bodies glowed God's disgusting powers and illuminated their mangled figures.
"It's such a shame that they were innocent in this mess. But it's satisfying to know that in the end, you were the one who killed them. How else could their lives have been taken away so easily..."
"But then you already knew that, didn't you?"
"Hahaha. How does it feel to kill your own children with your powers?"
"Everything you have created. I will make it so that your powers will be the one to cause their destruction."
He looked at God with disdain. Everything had originated from him. This 'person' here had the powers to end the pointless war for eons but what did he do? He sat on top of this throne and watched his mistakes bud into a flower. He had simply left it to a laughable thing called, 'fate'. From his lack of action, it spread it's seeds and created more and more conflict and strife.
As much as Adriel wanted to tear apart God with his bare hands, wouldn't it be better to make him watch his very first borne kill his second borne? Two of his most beloved children?
He pulled his hand out and waved over Lucifer. His eye were now dim and lifeless. There was no malice, no fear, no sadness, no joy detected in those eyes. They were empty. Lucifer had been the one who had fought the most out of all the demons against his control, and caused Adriel to tear his will into pieces. He was nothing more than a doll at the point.
He dragged with him, a battered Mikael. There was loose skin and flesh hanging off of his body and a copious amount of blood was streaming out of his body. He had been toyed with until it came to this moment. Many of the demons had gnawed on his flesh like hungry piranhas.
Adriel looked at God with a strange amusement. His two beloved sons had only come together now just so he could see one of them kill the other one. Adriel made Lucifer dislocate all the possible bones, then he made him tear off all of Mikael's wings and toss them aside like trash, and after Lucifer had shattered every single ounce of bone to dust in his body before he gave Mikael amnesty.
Adriel licked his lower lips and tilted his head, "You're next, Father."
After Lucifer was done with God's body, there wasn't a part that was left that could be identified as a body part. It was quite ironic that 'he' was killed by his very own powers. Even seeing the one who had killed Uriel get shredded alive, his rage still wasn't satisfied. His heart still ached immensely and felt hollow.
He turned to face his legions of demon, "Desecrate everything. Make everything perish."
They left at his command and dropped from the Heavens into the mortal realm.
In less than a quarter of an hour had passed and the world raged with fire. Helpless cries echoed throughout the world, but this time around there were no angels to come and stop the demons. It was not the eschaton that was occurring, it was the end of the world. There was going to be nothing left after he destroyed whatever was left of this pathetic world.

Somewhere in the mortal realm...
Cain was holding tightly onto Abel as they sat in a field of trees and grass. They could feel the violent tremors from the ground. Abel laid tiredly in his arms, "Cain... What do you think is happening out there?"
Cain smiled sadly, "The end of the world."
Abel looked up at him sleepily, "The end... of the world?"
Cain kissed his forehead, "Mmn. The end."
"Now sleep, Abel."
He looked at the talisman that was lightly crushed in his hand. He had found it in the pocket of his clothes along with a note. The words, 'May you find peace' was written on the piece of paper. He already knew that it was a gift from Uriel but he didn't not understand why the cherubim would give him it. All he knew was that it would be their saving grace.
If one was to ask Uriel why he had given them the talisman, he may have said that he saw Adriel and himself in the two of them. One always chasing after the other, unable to be together; destined to be star crossed lovers and having to part.
Perhaps it was because Uriel wanted to delude himself, as he projected his hopes into a vision that he and Adriel could live a life free of worries with their son through Cain and Abel. Maybe that is why he asked Bao Bao to purchase a talisman that would take them to a certain location only he knew, just so they could live a life for them. Maybe, just maybe they could live to the end of their time by each other's side and prove that they could fight 'fate'.
Cain couldn't help but wish that maybe if the residents of Heaven were more like Uriel, they wouldn't have cause the destruction of the world to come. He burnt the talisman and a sunset orange glow enveloped them. He felt Abel flinch and tense up at the sight of the light. He covered Abel's eyes and lovingly assured him, "Don't be scared. I'm here with you, Abel."
When they reopened their eyes, they came upon a world much like their own but it also wasn't like it. This made Cain and the tired Abel puzzled. Where had they gone to? They could see a beautiful villa in the distance by the vast and glistening ocean, and a few feet away underneath a tree was a large erected tombstone with the words, 'In Loving Memory of Wei Xiao and Long Zixi. May the light guide you to each other'.

Adriel watched the world be brought down to its knees. By the end of an hour since the onslaught, there ceased to be the raced called the 'homo sapiens' on Earth. After three hours, there were no other living creatures besides the demons on Earth, not even the deep sea creatures were spared. Earth turned to be inhabitable after receiving irreversible devastation.
They all stood before him, unmoving. Some of them had severe injuries on their bodies and others were an inch away from death. Adriel looked at them with no emotions in his face or eyes. They were like dry tumbleweeds passing by.
Adriel felt no gratification even after having killed off everything in the world. All that he felt was an everlasting emptiness. He waved his hand, "Kill yourselves."
