Ains pinched the bridge of his nose, he really needed to get rid of this migraine and hunger pang that he had. It seemed like forever since he's had to deal with this kind of problem.
Ains looked over to Bao Bao who was leisurely sitting on the side of the desk with his legs crossed. It still felt weird to see Bao Bao in that shape.
Bao Bao winked.

Ains looked at the tasks and found them to be doable but the last side mission. Have a family of my own? How? Ains had no knowledge of the ABO world yet and didn't know that about the different types. At this moment all he could think about was the BG type of world.
Then he recalled about surrogate mothers, and how they could carry a child for you instead. But then he shook his head, he would only make a family with his lover and no one else.
Xie Ying stood up and instantly felt light headed. He looked at the time on the computer, 11:39 PM. The original Xie Ying had fallen asleep while working on the stacks of paper. First thing he had to do was take care of his health, before it takes a turn for the worst. Xie Ying packed up his things and went home. On the commute home, Xie Ying wanted to look over the memories but he had dozed off a couple of times unintentionally from the exhaustion and hunger.
While heading back home, he stopped by the convenience store to buy some fresh produce of they had any as the supermarkets were closed. Once he got home, Xie Ying moved like a zombie. He unpacked the items and made salty shredded pork congee and shrimp tempura. His body wanted to go lie down and just sleep. Tomorrow, no today was Friday as it was already 12:33 AM.
He would shut off his phone and get some rest on the weekend. He dragged his body and stripped off his clothes before nestling into the bed and dozing off. Today was just the start, but he was drained already.

When morning came, he his body woke up mechanically at 6:30 AM. Xie Ying got up and went to the bathroom to do his daily ritual. Only then did he see his appearance, he could be categorized as anorexic. Xie Ying had to squint and look closely in the mirror to see his ghastly self, because he spent too many days in the looking at a monitor his vision gradually worsened. His vision was like 20/80, maybe even worse.
His rib bones were protruding and looked scary, the rest of his body was almost just bones as well. He had long shaggy black hair that blocked his face and hanged down to his shoulders. Xie Ying pushed aside his long bangs and saw a rather exquisite face, he looked like a mix of German and Chinese. Despite his hollowed cheeks and super baggy dark circles, he had two peach blossom cerulean blue eyes with long lashes, a sharp rigid and nose, and pale red lips.
If he added on some weight and muscles onto his body, no doubt would Xie Ying be attractive. Added with his height at 181 cm, he could be on par with that of an alpha in this world.
After checking himself out in the mirror, Xie Ying took a quick shower while going over 'his' memories. Going by the time line, he had two months before the female lead made her first appearance. Before then, he needed to deal with Tan Kang.
He also found out somethings were quite different in this world. There were six genders, alpha female/ male, beta female/ male, and omega female/ male. The alphas made up 20% of the population and were instinctively made to lead and command.
The betas made 65% of the population and were considered 'ordinary', their birthrates were low and accounted for a majority of the population. Majority of them had normal organs and weren't much different from the previous modern worlds.
Though there are very few male betas that are borne with a rare constitution that was similar to an omegas, they had a uterus and ovaries unlike many of the other male betas who are borne without it. It was located in the same location as a male omega's would be, but the entrance to the uterus was smaller in comparison to an omega's. Although the beta's have it, it didn't mean that their chances of producing an offspring is guaranteed. Their birthrate still remained the same.
Less than 0.02% of the male beta population have this constitution, and Xie Ying happened to be one of the rare betas. The original Xie Ying had kept this a secret, even his parents didn't know. The reason why, was that he simply didn't care for it. Subsequently, if he told his money grubbing parents, he would've been sold off already for their personal gain.
And then there were the omegas, a rare delicacy. They allotted to 15% of the population, they were the most fertile and if mated with an alpha would have a 68% chance of producing an alpha offspring, 22% of a beta offspring, and 10% chance of producing an omega.
Omegas would have a heat cycle called, estrus that would occur four times a year and their pheromones that they emit would go into overdrive. Which would attract alphas and some betas, telling them that they wanted to mate. It was like a natural aphrodisiac. Betas weren't as affected as alphas due to their genetics. As for the rare beta males, they weren't able to emit any special pheromones and they didn't have any estrus like the omegas did.
There are medication for the omegas to take in which can suppress their instinctual desire to mate, they come in pill and shot forms. It contains altrenogest*. Even though they suppressed the instincts, they weren't side effect free.
The alpha also had pheromones but they worked differently then the omegas'. Their pheromones would make any weaker alphas, betas, and omegas kneel or bow down before them, a show of asserting their dominance. Most of the time the alphas would keep their pheromones in check and not release it.
There was also a special bonding that occurs between an alpha and an omega mate. The alpha would bite the omega's superior trapezius*, where the omega's bonding gland is. It stimulates a release of oxytocin* in the omega's blood, and that triggers a release of vasopressin* in the alpha. The release of the vasopressin increases the alphas need to protect it's mate.
When the bonding ritual is complete, it will place a certain scent on the omega, telling others that they have already been claimed. There would have to be a renewal of the bonding every so often as the bonding scent will fade over time.
Xie Ying was quite interested in this new knowledge. In his previous worlds there were only two genders, female or male. He wanted to further research about it when he had the time. He even though of becoming either a researcher or a doctor in this life.

Xie Ying got out of the shower and dressed up.
Before Xie Ying could react, Bao Bao 'hugged' his bare body before darting off.
Xie Ying also found something else that he needed to fix, his clothes. Because of his slim body, the suits he owned looked too large for his body and made him look almost like a bum. Other than his suits he only had at most five pairs of pants and shirts. He choose the most suitable suit for his body, it was also his most expensive one. Xie Ying fixed himself to look as he always did and covered up his face and put on his glasses.
His apartment was also very shabby, there were cracks on the walls and some paint were falling off. There was barely any furniture inside of the place besides a couch, a table, two chairs, his bed, the bed frame, and a small table serving as a nightstand. Not to mention that it was located right at the edge of the slums.
Things were piling up on him to finish.
Afterwards, he made a simple and easy breakfast. Since his incident with the microwave in the zombie apocalypse, Xie Ying had steered clear of that machine. It seemed to have left him with a trauma unknowingly.
On the train, he checked his bank account, 989.32¥. Xie Ying quickly calculated with his upcoming bills, he should have a little more than 200¥ left over after paying everything. Usually with whatever little money the old Xie Ying had, he would save it to pay for his debt.
But since it was another soul inside of the body, Xie Ying would find ways to make money and fast too.
By the time he got to work it was already 7:44 AM. He quickly head to his 'office' and settled in. With the small allotted time he had, Xie Ying did some research on the economy and stock market. The previous Xie Ying had been too busy working that he shut off information on the outside world.
After gathering intel, Xie Ying invested all of the money left over, as for how he was going to make more money, he had already though of a plan to deal with it. He looked at the time again, 7:52 AM. Tan Kang always came in late, he would have time to familiarize with what the original Xie Ying had been working on.
He browsed through the paperwork on his desk and the documents on his computer. He even hacked into the system and checked on the files that were on Tan Kang's computer, they were going to be given to him either way. His fingers flew across the keyboard as if he was just leisurely playing on the piano.
His screen flashed through many different files, his eyes swiftly scanned the the files and imprinted the information on his mind. Now he could recite everything, even in his sleep.
Just as he finished accessing all the files, Tan Kang finally arrived.
