We got to the restaurant and it was not just a fancy restaurant, it's also luxurious and looks so expensive, we walked into the restaurant and took our seat, Liam was about to call the waiter when I said to him
“Wait, what are you doing?”
“I want to call the waiter”
“Not yet” I said to him and looked at my time,
“Thought you wanted to talk to me about something?”
“Hmmm, but we can be having lunch while talking” I don't know but for some reasons his voice was so calm but I'm not about to be his option just because he broke up with his girlfriend, I've thought so hard about it while we were driving here, at first I really wanted to go with him and hear him out because of how he stopped Beauty in class today, but then that's what every caring person would do, and I cannot start abandoning my friends that has always been there for me just to go eat with Liam cause he asked me for the first time. I quickly texted my friends the place address without his notice.
“No Liam, I cannot have lunch with you, I have plans with my friends so you can as well say what you want to say before I'll leave”
He kept on staring at me, making me wonder what he's staring at cause he kept on looking at me without saying any words,
“You have changed so much Taylor” He spoke so calmly with his eyes fixed on me, I smiled
“People change Liam, you don't expect me to still be the old Taylor that everyone can easily step on, not only do people change but also there are people behind our change, don't you like the new me?” I asked staring back at him, he smiled and leaned back on his seat
“I have always liked every shade of you Taylor”
For a moment I was thrown off guard by that statement, what does he mean by he likes every shade of me,
“I wanted to talk to you about my breakup with Beauty, I know it might seem that I don't like you Taylor but that's what everyone thinks cause no one knows the truth, and believe me when I say that I'm not going to sit back and watch you get hurt, or allow other people to troll you”
“But you have always troll me Liam”
“Shit, that's me Taylor, I'm talking about other people”
“What difference does it make?” I asked in confusion
“A lot Taylor”
“Oh you mean it makes a lot of difference when you told your friends and your girlfriend about my past feelings for you?”
“You got it all wrong Taylor that was a misunderstanding, I never told them, Eden and Ethan happen to walk in on me reading one of the sticky notes you left me in the past”
“Oh really then who told your girlfriend?”
“Eden randomly blurted it out during a conversation, it was not intentional he tried to cover it up but Beauty already bought the information”
“Listen Taylor I've never hurt you intentionally even when it looks like I did cause of my attitude, I didn't I've always looked out for you, I promise” he tried so hard to explain but I can't even trust the air he breathes no more
“Why are you telling me all these now?”
“Cause you just asked, I cannot let you have the wrong narrative and impression, you didn't ask in the past that's why I never said anything,”
I scoffed with a smile, is he trying to mess with my head
“Excuse me Liam but you never speak to me in the past, so even if I asked, you wouldn't have said anything, so stop trying to paint yourself a good person, why am I here?”
I was already getting pissed at this point cause he's clearly pushing my angry button
“I wanted to talk to you because I don't want you to think that my breakup with Beauty is your fault, no it's not your fault I've long wanted to break up with her cause she's cheating on me, and you can just say that I finally got the chance to”
I sighed and leaned back on my seat cause I think he's getting the wrong impression here,
“I'm sorry Liam but why are you telling me all of this, your breakup with her has nothing to do with me, neither am I interested in knowing the details, I'm not the least interested in you guys whatever, and you don't have to explain nothing to me cause it's non of my business, and if you're telling me this because you think I still have feelings for you then I'm sorry you got it all wrong, my feelings for you died before we started this semester, I wrote that diary ages ago and just like you said since this semester I have not left any stick note for you, which summarizes everything, I also hope you can understand”
“Pookie” I suddenly heard Kelly's voice and looked by the side to see my friends standing meters away, I smiled at them and turned to Liam
“My friends are here, I'm sorry I have to leave”
“Wait, did you give them the location?” He asked in confusion
“Hmm we had plans to go have fun before you called me out, you don't expect me to ditch my friends for you Liam, have a nice day” I waved at him and run to my friends
“We thought you're going to ditch us” Ben pouted,
“Of course not” I pinch his cute cheeks
“Shift it's my turn” Chris pushed Ben aside and wrapped his arms around my shoulder,
“You won't believe this Taylor but Liam is glaring daggers at us right now
“Let's go guys” Kelly dragged me from Chris as we walk out
“Damn mean what's wrong with you” Chris groans at Kelly.
I came back home late in the evening and joined everyone for dinner, my aunt and uncle will be traveling back tomorrow and I'm already missing them I can't believe it's going to be me and Liam again, it's so annoying cause I've been enjoying home cooked meals recently and it's always so good and delicious, I got back upstairs and was about to open my room door when I heard Liam opening his door,
“Taylor?” He called, I didn't want to talk to him I just want to hit the bed,
“Hmm” I turned tiredly,
“Uhm it's nothing” He said and slammed his door shut, what the hell was that, he looked like he has a lot to say, why did he call me just to say nothing, always acting weird, I angrily went inside and slammed my door shut as well, the next thing was hit the bed and that was it.
I woke up the next morning which is weekend, and shit, I forgot my aunt and uncle were having early morning flight, by the time I ran downstairs I only met an empty living room and house which means that Liam might have drove them to the airport, I met a full bowl of ice cream on the table and concluded that my aunt must have left it for me, I laid on the couch and turn on Netflix, I use the remote to choose the movie I wanted, after which I began enjoying my ice cream,
I didn't know when I slept off on the couch until I felt a tap on my shoulder,
“Live me alone” I mumbled in my sleep as I adjusted my position on the couch
“You finished my ice cream” I suddenly heard that voice, my eyes snapped open immediately and I saw Liam smirking at me.
