I sit up on the couch immediately, and gently brush back the scattered strands of hair on my face, I cleared my throat
“I thought auntie left it for me, I'm sorry I didn't know it was yours I'll get you a new one later”
“Nhhh I don't want another one, I was just teasing you” He said to me and joined me in sitting on the couch, I was surprised when I saw him sitting beside me on the couch,
“Do you plan to stay at home today?” He suddenly asked, I looked at him and damn he was just staring back at me, he fucking knows how handsome he looks, is he trying to seduce me with his handsome face? I cleared my throat and gently shifted away from him, he smiled and also shifted closer,
“What are you doing?” I mumbled,
“Cause you keep running away from me, did I do something wrong again? Or could it be that…..” He drawled the last part and began to lean forward, I've almost gotten to the end of the couch at this point, and there's nowhere else to shift to,
“You're getting too close” I muttered, as my heartbeat began to race up, my eyes were focussed on his lips, and his eyes, those eyes are captivating, I need to look away else, he stopped inches away from me and I was literally hanging by my throat at this point, I could feel my palms getting sweaty, my heart was beating so fast that he might be hearing the sound, his hot breath fanned my face while I clutch tightly to the couch, my eyes were not helping out cause they were busy dancing around his face,I gulped nervously dreading the formidable

“It's none of your business, I never question you about who you go on dates with” I snapped and made my way up to my room, immediately I got inside, I slammed the door shut and fell in my bed,
“Damn what have I gotten myself into?” I groan ruffling my hair, I told him I have a date tomorrow, what am I going to do if I end up staying at home tomorrow without going on any date, damn what have I gotten myself into.
I heard a notification sound from my phone and took my phone, it was a message from Instagram, as soon as I opened my Instagram messages I was shocked seeing over hundred DMs from different account, I blinked my eyes to make sure I was seeing right but damn I was not wrong, I checked the picture that I posted and it now has a 210,000 likes, 3000 comments and 600 shared, I almost screamed, now I understand why my Instagram post is trending in school is this what Liam meant when he mentioned my Instagram.
I decided to go through my messages one after the other,
“Hi pretty you look beautiful, can I get your contact?”
“I was almost blinded by your beauty Taylor, I want to be your man and make you the happiest woman”
I was laughing my lungs out reading the funny lines from these men, but then the third message caught my attention
“Hey Taylor, how have you been, hope you're doing good, it's me Charles, remember? We met at the convenience store. I go to Maxwell University while you go to Lafrodd University, I walked you home and we exchanged numbers, remember? Sorry I lost my phone on the night we met. I have been thinking of visiting but I know it's improper to visit someone without telling them that's why I have not visited, I was surprised when I saw you on my Instagram feed, I was so happy, please this is my number 0078, please call me as soon as you see this message, have a nice day Taylor”
Awwww, I was already smiling after reading his message, even without speaking to him in person, from his write-up you could tell that he's such a sweet person I quickly copied his number and dial it
“Hey please who am I speaking to?” I smile hearing his ascent,

“Taylor, oh my goodness is that really you?” I laughed so hard sensing the excitement in his voice

“I'm so happy Taylor you're the first friend I'm making in California, can we meet up tomorrow and go for a tour please I've been wanting to explore the city but too bad I don't have anyone to take me around”

The next morning, I woke up by 9AM and began to get ready, I checked my phone and Charles already messaged me cause he promised to pick me up this morning, I had my bath and was now debating on which cloth to wear, this is my first friendship date, I want to keep it classy and cute so I want something that will give classy and cute vibes, nothing too much.
I looked through my closet and picked out a short blue denim skirt. I wore a white crop top and a black jacket which I paired up with the Bottega black boot that my uncle got me for valentines last year. I brushed back my hair and tie it in a ponytail , I wore a channel sunglasses and a channel handbag, it's my first time dressing to kill and I was applauding my dressing, I decided to add accessories so I wore a van cleef choker, and bracelet, I added a red lipstick to enhance my beauty cause I don't like putting on makeup, after dressing up I looked at myself in the mirror and if I was a guy and someone dressed like me passed by I would have turned to stare at them, this is what I mean when I say it's time for Taylor to go from a nerd to a baddie.
I left my room and made my way downstairs, on coming downstairs I could hear Liam and that of his friends voice immediately they heard the sound of my boots, their gaze turned towards my direction
“Holy fucking moly, what the helliante is going on here!” Eden blurted out
“Is that Taylor, I think my vision is shaking” Ethan mumbled and stood up, but Eden dragged him back down immediately
