I watched her expression as I waited for her reply, she was silent for a second and finally she was able to look up at me,
“I'm sorry Kel, I woke up and the necklace was gone”
“Really?” I asked and she nodded, I groaned inwardly and balled my fist in anger. That annoying Liam, earlier today when I saw him coming out from the kitchen direction, he proudly showed me the necklace with a smirk, it's clear that Taylor didn't know he's with it.
“Are you angry?” Taylor suddenly asked distracting my thoughts
“Of course not pookie” I smiled staring the beautiful view before us
“The view is beautiful” I said with a smile
“I know right, it's so quiet and chilly here, it's good for meditation especially when you're going through something” She said calmly with her eyes admiring the water like it's the most beautiful thing to ever exist. I was suddenly happy that I could bring her here and make her happy.
“Thats why I always come here when I'm sad or when I needed a quiet time, I also come here when I'm confused and trying to figure something to out”
“Does this mean you like nature?”
“Not really but you can say I like waters and the peace it brings, and as for whether I'm a nature person, nhhh I think I'm more of an aesthetic person”
“Ohh okay” She hummed,
“So what about you princess, are you a nature person?”
She smiled and gave me her full attention,
“Guess?”
“Hmmm” I looked at her for a while
“Maybe a city person”
“Wrong, I'm in love with nature, I'm in love with them cozy environments, I'm obsessed with earthly stuffs like mountains, green leaf, flowers, walking on quiet cozy forest, going for fishing, and sipping coffee in a quiet cozy room”
“Wow, that's your kind of vibes?”
“Hmmm”
“Now I learnt something new about you”
“Actually you could have guessed it if you know me so well, I was surprised you guessed it wrong”
I pouted and pulled closer to her, I wrapped my arms around her shoulder
“I'm sorry I promise that next time I'll try and guess it right okay?”
She stared at my face for some seconds and laughed so hard, she ended up pushing my hair away
“Get away, and stop acting like a big baby”
“But I'm your big baby” I pouted
“Hmm you are” She smiled,
“See I was right” I said proudly
“Kel?” She suddenly called
“Hmmm?”
“Can I ask you something?”
“Of course Pookie, go on, why are you asking for permission?”
“Cause it might be a bit sensitive to you and I do not want that to happen
“Nhh you can ask me whatever you want to ask and I promise answer them”
“You said you've brought only one person here and I'll be the second person you're bringing here?”
“Of course it's true”
“So who's the first person that you brought here?”
“My ex”
“Really?” She looked so happy, I was a little disappointed cause I thought she would have looked sad a little bit.
“Hmmm”
“So what happened, why did you guys broke up”
“We didn't break up Pookie, she just left”
“She did?”
“Hmm, she got a scholarship to study in another country”
“Wow, that's a good thing, why do you look sad, that means you guys didn't break up right?”
“No pookie you don't get it, I didn't even know that she got a scholarship, I just woke up one morning and she's gone, she didn't even tell me I was going crazy looking everywhere for her that I almost killed myself, it was after three months that a friend of her told me that she got a scholarship in another country and left, the friend said my girlfriend didn't tell me cause she didn't know how I would react, but that made me more mad, she could have told me, we could have talked about it instead of leaving me in the dark like some piece of shit that doesn't matter, do you know that till this day she hasn't contacted me, I hate her so much” I noticed that I was about to tear up and turned away but instead Taylor pulled my head to lay on her shoulder.
“Let's just enjoy the view” She whispered calmly caressing my hair, it was then I realized that she's the most comfortable and caring person I've ever met, instead of talking further about my painful past, she covered it up cause she didn't want me to be sad, she wanted me to be happy. Taylor Anderson, how can I not make you mine, when you keep giving me every reason to do so, every time.
At some point I went I got us ice cream, but it started getting cold as evening approach so I took off my jacket and wore it on while I accompanied her to the car, we drove to a restaurant and had a bowl of hot noodles and oxtail,
“This food is good” She ate heartily while complimenting the food, and that only made me admire her more. She always looks so happy while doing everything and that's her biggest charm. We are hot food cause the weather was so cold and by the time we were done, it was already getting dark so we drove straight to her home, I stopped the car in front of her mansion
“Can I ask you one last thing?” She said to me,
“Hmm, I already told you that you can ask anything pookie”
“Alright, so I just wanted to ask, why did you tell Liam that I confessed love to you?”
“No pookie, I never said that”
She stared at me deeply and I could tell she was being serious,
“Are you lying to me?”
“No I'm not, don't tell me you believed him over me, come on that nigga has never spoken to you before why is he doing it now?”
“Nhh he didn't tell me, I think I heard it wrong”
“Ohh okay” I breathed a sigh of relief,
“I promise that I've never lied to you and I won't, okay? I'm not like other guy”
“Hmmm” She smiled at me, I hurried and opened the car door for her, I watched her walk into the house, I was still smiling not until that annoying face came out smirking, and then he shut the door on my face, my smile vanished immediately.
I got curious, if he didn't tell Taylor then how did she know that I said those things to Liam? Shit I hope I sounded convincing, I can't imagine a life without her, I finally made her mine, I can't lose her.
