After exploring the morning by visiting so many Korean food spot that Charles recommended, we were so full by the time we got back home, and could barely move out body,
“Damn I'm so full” I yawned and slumped on the sofa
“Me too” Charles smiled sitting beside me, I looked around the living room and everywhere is so quiet, I guessed Liam must have left for basketball practice,
“Your home is so huge and beautiful” Charles complimented,
“Thank you but you, it's my uncle's mansion”
“The one you said took you in?”
“Hmmm”
“So no one is home?” He asked looking around,
“Nhhh, Liam already left for football practice, let me get us something to drink” I said to him and stood up as I began to make my way to the kitchen,
“I'm coming with you” Charles said and stood up too.
“Wow your uncle must be so freaking rich, is this a mansion or a castle?” Charles complimented almost making me laugh
“Trust me they are not just rich, they are filthy rich”
“That means your father must be rich if he has a rich bestfriend, am I right?” He asked as we entered the kitchen, I paused for a while, not giving him an immediate answer,
“Uhm did I say something wrong?”
I smile and turned to him,
“Of course not, it's just that it reminded me of my father, and yes you're right my parents are so rich, but when they died everything we had was seized by the banks who claimed my father took a loan from them”
“Shit, that's so sad, what if those people were lying, what if your father never took any loans?”
“I know right, but it was not like I could do anything besides the dead cannot speak, I was grateful that uncle Mayor stood by my side you know he really fought for me and it was all thanks to him that I still have my parents mansion and our company's building but the company went bankrupt and all the workers retired I was left with an empty company, but it's better than having nothing, at least I still had things that reminds me of my parents”
“When did all these happen?”
“I was just eighteen, I came back from school one day and my life was gone, my parents was gone everything was gone, it was in my final year in highschool, I lost everything, I couldn't even celebrate the new year with them, it was so fucking hard for me Charles, I thought I had no one else back then”
“It's okay, you have us now” He whispered in a soothing voice and pulled me in his arms,
“You have your uncle, your aunt, you have Liam, and you have me as well”
I smiled, and pulled away, Charles wiped my tears,
“You know you're the first person I'm telling this”
“Really?”
“Of course”
“Then I feel special”
“So what about you Charles?” I asked as I walked to the fridge to get us something to drink,
“Uhm, plane crash my parents died in a plane crash when I was 12”
Immediately I heard that I almost let go off the glass cup in my hand
“When you were 12?” I asked in shock
“Hmmm”
“Don't tell me you have been living alone since you were 12?”
“I have”
“Yoo! That's crazy, how did you survive so you have family members?”
“Nhhh, both of my parents were orphans, and we weren't poor”
“The fuck, I can imagine how a 12 years old managed to survive alone till now”
“But I did”
“Damn you're stronger than you look”
“What are you staring at?” We both heard voices and turned to the door, Liam has been standing there all these while, and Eden just exposed him, I smiled secretly
“Ohh you're back?” I said to him and he finally came out from the corner he was hiding
“Hey Taylor?” Eden waved at me happily with smiles on his face,
“Hey Eden”
Liam walked towards us and stopped meters away from us with his eyes glued on Charles, I thought he was going to say something to us but he just stood staring at Charles, it was almost getting awkward
“Uhm, Charles this is Liam my stepbrother, Liam meet Charles my friend”
“Hey, I'm Charles, nice to meet you” Charles extended his hand for a shake, but Liam ignored his hand
“Don't mind him, he's always grumpy, nice meeting you, I'm Eden, Liam's friend” Eden greeted Charles and shake his hand,
“Oh it's nice meeting you” Charles smiled nervously
“I thought you guys had practice today, what happened?” I asked Eden,
“It was canceled”
“Cancelled?” I asked in surprise cause the upcoming match is a big one why would the practice be cancelled, Eden looked at Liam who's backing us, he shifted closer to Charles and I and whispered
“He made the coach cancel the practice, he said he caught flu”
“Who caught the flu?” I asked in shock cause I was so fucking sure that Liam and I woke up in the same bed together and nothing was wrong with him so when did he caught the flu,
“Liam of course, Ethan went to get him medication, I looked around the kitchen and Liam was gone,
“See you guys” Eden winked at us and left,
“Are you okay?” I asked Charles who is now looking tense and nervous,
“Hmmm, your stepbrother, he doesn't seem to like me”
I smile and wave it off
“Come on Charles you don't have to look at his face, that's how he is, uhm what should we do next?” I asked,
“Hmm, I saw a video game in the living room a PS5, let's go so I can teach you how to play”
“Really?”
“Hmmm, but will your brother allow it?”
“Actually the PS5 In the living room belongs to Ethan, Liam's PS5 Is up in his room”
“Then we have no problem if it belongs to someone else right?”
“Hmmm” I smile, already getting popcorn and coca cola that we will devour while playing the game. We got all the things we needed and proceeded to the living room, it was empty cause Eden and Liam are probably upstairs, Charles and I sat down and adjusted ourselves on the sofa.
“Are you ready?” Charles asked looking so happy as he gave me one of the game pads
“Hmmm”
“Looks like you like playing this game?”
“Of course, all the time I was living alone, it was all thanks to playing game I never felt lonely for ones”
“Hmmm, is that why you're studying gaming”
“You figured it out?”
“Of course, it's obvious it's something you like”
“What about you, what prompted you to study Anatomy”
“My parents” I replied with a shrug, the door suddenly opened and Ethan walked in with nylons,
“I thought, I thought” Charles stuttered I know he's in shock seeing the same person the second time,
“It's not the same person it's his twins” I whispered to him,
“Ohhh” He sighed,
“Hey Ethan?”
“Hey” He mumbled, staring at Charles, one thing about Ethan is that he's more of a quiet person, he talk less, but when he's with Liam and Eden he interact more, but he's kind of cold and reserved, I noticed he was giving Charles a cold stare
“Uhm.sorry Ethan, my friend and I wanted to borrow your Ps game”
“Hmm” He hummed and one can barely hear that, he went upstairs immediately sparing us no glance,
“Damn, he's so fucking cold, I almost hard a heart attack, he fucking attacked me with his eyes” Charles sighed, caressing his arms,
“I know right, but he's good just like his twin, they are good people so you don't have to worry”
“It feels like he hates me just like your brother hates me”
“Nhhh, none of them hates you, trust me, Ethan is more of a quiet type while Eden is friendly that's all”
“Nhh I prefer his other twin”
“They are all good” I laughed
