I never knew that video game can be so fun, and entertaining, Charles taught me so well that I mastered it in a matter of seconds, and there was this particular game that I like and I have passed so many levels, Charles said it was unexpected that I passed that level because it's always hard for people that are pro at game playing compared to me that know nothing about game yet I passed it with just a first trial. I was so happy that I learnt this cause all these while that I used to see Liam and his friends playing it, I never knew it could be that fun.
I wanted to grab popcorn but noticed that the bowl is now empty
“Charles?”
“Hmmm” He answered with his eyes fixed on the screen
“Can you go and get popcorn from the kitchen please”
“Uhm, are you sure about that?”
“Hmm”
“Alright but you have to wait for me okay?”
“Hmm” I nod with smile and he left with the bowl, I leaned back on the couch staring into space as I waited for Charles to come back, I noticed Ethan coming downstairs, our eyes met and I smiled at him, he smiled back and walked straight to the kitchen direction,
“Taylor”
I heard my name and turned to see Charles walking nervously it was almost as if he was shaking,
“Is everything okay?”
“No, it's not” He sighed breathing heavily as he sat beside me on the couch, I looked for the bowl of popcorn and he wasn't holding it,
“What happened? Why is the bowl empty?” I asked in confusion, wiping the beads of sweats on his forehead,
“I'm sorry Taylor, I don't know what happened maybe I was so scared and chickened out”
“What do you mean by that?”
He looked around and gestured for me to pull closer which I did,
“I was about to get the popcorn when that cold twin walked into the kitchen, I swear I know it was him cause he wasn't smiling and he kept on glaring at me, I swear I didn't even know him from anywhere today is my first time of meeting him but he's glaring at me like he have a beef with me” Charles whispered as he trembled in fear,
“That's bad”
“I got so scared and left the kitchen”
“Should I talk to him?”
“Oh no, no, I might have to go back today and sleep over some other time”
“You forgot your popcorn” We suddenly heard behind us and turned to see Ethan,
“Here” He gestured at Charles,
“Uhm” Charles stared nervously at me and I signaled him to take it from him and he did, Ethan scoffed and went upstairs.
“Gosh, he's so scary” Charles pouted as he dropped the bowl of popcorn on the table, I smile and patted his shoulder,
“Trust me he's not that bad”
“Nhhhh I'll pass, he might not be mean to you, but trust me when I say him and your stepbrother do not like me”
“Liam doesn't like anybody you don't have to worry about him”
Charles and I ended up not playing the game anymore, cause we were already tired we talked a lot and ended up sleeping off on the couch. Hours later I felt a tap on my shoulder, at first I wave of the hand, but as the tapping continued I opened my eyes, Liam stood behind the couch with an angry stare, I looked around Ethan and Eden were sitting on the couch before us, and they were staring right back at me, I followed their gaze and it turned out, Charles and squeezed ourselves into the same couch, and we were both hugging each other,
“Hm, hm” I made a nervous sound and began tapping Charles to wake up, he shifted back and forth for a few seconds,
“Does he need me to wake him up?” Liam growl and I guess Charles heard that in his sleep cause his eyes snapped open, the first person his eyes met was Liam and then he saw Ethan and Eden staring, he slowly looked down and noticed our sleeping position and immediately he sprang up nervously and sat down instead,
“Uhm, ehhh” He rubbed his knees nervous, Liam walked to Ethan and sat beside him and right now the three of them were staring at us,
“Uhm I think you guys misunderstood the situation” Charles tried to explain
“Why were you fucking holding her?” Liam groaned
“No, no,no, it's not what you're thinking” Charles corrected immediately
“Uhm Taylor and I were chatting when we slept off, there's nothing else, we are just friends nothing else I promise”
“Well you better keep your promise cause if I notice you have other intentions I'm going to make you disappear” Liam glared at him,
“Hmmm” Charles nod,
“Uhm I think I should leave” Charles whispered
“You want to leave?”
“Hmmm, I'll sleep over some other time let me go help ajumeoni ( grandma ) today”
“Ohh okay, I'll see you off” I said to him and stood up, as we both walked outside,
“Charles?” I called as he was about to enter his car
“You promise to sleep over some other time right?”
“Hmmm” He smiled
“Alright drive safe”
“I will” He smiled and got into his car, I stood and watched as he drove off.
I went back into the living room and took the bowl of popcorn and glass cup that we used, I went into the kitchen to go wash them off,
“He's gone?” Liam asked me, he was in the kitchen he when I walked in, he was eating cherry,
“Hmmm you and Ethan did well in scaring him away”
“He was so jelly I didn't even do nothing, how did you become friends with that cutie pie”
Immediately he said that my face brightened up immediately
“So you all think he's cute right? Damn I know my baby is cute” I hyped myself
“Cute? Come on it's more like he's a doll” Ethan muttered as he walked into the kitchen I don't know if it's a compliment or a shade,
“Be nice Ethan, my friend did nothing to you”
“I'm being nice aren't I?”
“No, you scared him away”
“I did, then it's a good thing” He smirked
