We finally got to Ajumeoni's noodles joint, as soon as we walked in I sighed Ajumeoni serving food to a group of highschool students
“Ajumeoni….” I called in excitement, she gently turned, and her eyes lit up as she recognizes me
“Taylor…” She called happily, and looked at the Kelly who was standing beside me,
“Is he …..?”
“My best friend” I replied sharply
“Wow, welcome dear, you two should have a seat, let me get Charles he's been waiting for long” She said happily and walked us to our table where we sat down, as she left I noticed that Kelly was looking around the place probably checking it out with his eyes,
“What? You haven't been to a place like this, right?” I asked and brush him by the shoulder,
“Nhhh” He laughed nervously,
“Taylor….?” I suddenly heard Charles excited voice and turned to see him coming with tray of food,
“Is that your friend, the one you've been talking about?”
“Hmmm” I nod and I bet Kelly was marvelled at Charles cuteness,
“He's cute right?” I asked with my face beaming with smiles,
“Hmm, he is”
Charles got to our table and place the food,
“Hey” He extended his hand towards Kelly for a shake
“I'm Taylor's close friend” Charles said with a flashy smile
“Hey nice to meet you, I'm Taylor's best friend” Kelly said proudly and Charles smiled,
“Of course I know”
Charles joined us and we began talking, it was such a fun moment, and I was happy that Kelly was happy today, he didn't show any dislike towards Charles, we chatted for a long time and even after we finished eating, we continue spending time, and then my phone beeped, I checked to see that it was Liam messaging me
“It's late when are you coming back home”
My heart skipped immediately I saw that message, I checked and saw that it was eight in the night, and that's when I stood up making my intention known
“Uhm Charles, it's already late, Kelly and I will leave now but I promise to call you as soon as I get home okay?”
“Sure” He smiled at me.
I waved at Charles as Kelly and I finally said goodbye to Ajumeoni and left,
“Thought you wanted to stay longer?” Kelly said to me as we got into the car,
“Hmmm, but something came up”
“Like what?” He asked staring at me,
“Hmm, nothing much I just have to go back home”
“It's Liam right?”
“What do you mean?”
He looked at me and sighed, as he placed his hand on the wheel and ignited the car
“He texted you and asked you to get back home, that's why you left in a hurry”
“I promised him I'll be back early”
“Fine,” He said with a shrug and drove off. I was tempted to ask him why he's acting up, he's acting like the message is a big thing but I decided to ignore it anyway.
None of us said anything to each other till we got to my home, he stopped the car in front of the mansion,
“Thank you”
“You're welcome” He gave me a warm smile, I was about to open the car door when Kelly grabbed my hand stopping me,
“Kelly?” I called in surprise looking at my hand that he was holding,
“Is everything okay?”
“Hmmm” He nodded vigorously, and caress my hand for some seconds,
“It's about the promise that you made to me, I'm going to ask for something after the basketball championship match is over”
“Uhm why wait till then you can ask me for anything now?”
“I'm sorry Taylor but it's not just something I can ask casually I have to wait for the right moment”
“Right moment? Is it that important?” I asked,
“Hmm it's very important to me, more like the most important thing to me at the moment”
“Really? Then we have to wait for the right moment then” I smiled
“Thank you Taylor”
“For what?” I asked with a crunchy look
“For being my best friend”
“Hmmm thank you too for brightening my full life”
“Can I hug you?” I said with open arms, and without even saying a word he hugged me even though we are both sitting right now, seconds later we pulled away, Kelly came down from the car and opened the door for me,
“Thank you” I said to him. As I came down from the car,
“See you” I wave at him as I made my way into the mansion, I thought Liam was going to be in the living room because the messaged me but I was wrong cause there was no one in here, I decided to walk upstairs to my room and on getting close to me room I saw Liam standing in front of my window, which means that he's been watching Kelly and I from where he stood, the gift he bought me were still unwrapped by the table,
I gently walked into the room, I can already sense Liam's cold aura from miles away, I could tell that he's so fucking angry right now, and I might be the cause of it,
“Liam?” I called dropping my bag on the bed
“Thought you said you were going to come back early?” He questioned without turning to face me, his voice filled with venom
“Uhm, I'm sorry it's just that Charles was there and we kept on chatting that I didn't even knew it was way past the time”
He turned and I dare not stare at him right now, even without looking at him I could feel his gaze burning and peeling my skin,
“The gift that I bought you, why haven't you unwrapped it?”
“The gift?” I stuttered my voice almost shaking at this point, he was taking slow strides towards me and with every step he takes I could feel my body getting scared even though I don't have a reason to be right now, but why does it suddenly feel like I did something wrong and I'm about to get punished for it.
My palms were fucking sweaty, my heartbeat was racing, my whole body was in a state of catastrophe cause of this man that just stopped right before me,
“Answer me pumpkin, why haven't you opened my gift?”
That voice, it's both seductive and dangerous at the same time, I knew better than to fantasize over it. He suddenly grabbed my waist and forcefully pulling me to him,
“Liam…”
“Shh…..now this is your punishment you can't open the gift anymore, until I ask you to do so”
“Wh, wh, what do you mean by that?” I stuttered to talk, his face was so fucking close and I can barely concentrate on anything right now.
“Don't you want us to date, you have always loved me and secretly crush on me now I'm giving you an opportunity for your dreams to come true”
“My dream?”
“Of course, but that depends on your performance” He whispered caressing my waist, I gulped nervously trying to keep a composed look,
“What do you want?”
“It's simple and easy, break up with your little boyfriend before basketball championship match is over and I will be yours”
