I was ready to leave for school but I kept on looking at the necklace on my palm, I was contemplating whether I should take it or not, I still have not made up my mind yet, and I know so damn well that I'm still confused at this point, it's crazy cause I've literally waited for this opportunity the day that my crush will finally notice me, now the opportunity has come but why am I suddenly feeling hesitant about it?
I sighed tiredly and threw the necklace into my bag and left.
“Hey Taylor” Liam waved at me as soon as I walked outside,
“Liam?” I called in surprise cause I was not expecting to see him, I saw Kelly's car driving off and I wondered what happened, I grabbed my phone and was about to dial Kelly's number,
“I'm driving you to school today, so no need to call him” Liam said to me and my finger that was about to dial Kelly's number hung mid air
“But we didn't talk about that” I muttered in confusion
“I know, but I'm telling you now, hop in” He mumbled and opened the car door,
“Hey Taylor” Eden waved at me, I looked at Ethan and our eyes met, he winked at me instead, I scoff and rolled my eyes at him, I angrily entered the car and Liam slammed the car door shut. He also got into the car and ignited it,
“When did we start going to school together?”
“Today” He replied nonchalantly, I know I was supposed to cuss him out for his attitude right now cause he's always doing things the way he wants but why do I weirdly find the way he drive cars attractive,
“Have you broken up with him?”
“No”
“Why? You're suddenly so in love with him that you cannot break up with him?”
“Where are we going?” I asked ignoring his question
“Breakfast, I'm taking us to go eat breakfast”
I looked at him and didn't even know what to say to him, I sighed tiredly and leaned back on the car seat, allowing him to do whatever he wanted, he always does that anyways.
I felt the car came to a halt and opened my eyes, Liam has been staring at me, I ignored him and unbuckle my seatbelt after which I came down from the car, it was a FIVE STAR RESTAURANT as expected from someone like them,
“Wow, this place looks cool” Eden said enthusiastically
“I searched for the restaurant that has the highest rating in making burger and this was the restaurant that was recommended hope you'll like it” Liam said proudly,
“Why burger?”
“Cause it's your favorite lately”
I was kind of taken back, how did he know that I've been eating burgers a lot recently. I keep getting confused on how he always knows so much about me from the smallest to the biggest details.
We ended up having breakfast and their meals were indeed so good. We got to school and as we were walking to the class for the first lecture which will be starting in thirty minutes, I held back Ethan, Liam and Eden turned to look at me,
“You two should go, I need to speak to him privately” I said to them, Liam glanced at me and then back at Ethan, he nodded and went into the class with Eden while I dragged Ethan to a corner.
“My friend Charles, why are you treating him like a piece of shit?”
“Who's that? I don't think I know him” He acted oblivious
“Come on Ethan you know who I'm talking about, the one you went to Ajumeoni's shop to maltreat”
“Ajumeoni? What's that?”
I groaned frustratingly knowing he's doing this on purpose to get on my nerves
“Ethannnnnn……”
“Oh you mean the nerdy guy?”
“He has a name Ethan, his name is Charles not nerdy guy”
“Oops, thought he's irrelevant do I have to know his name, not interesting” He shrugged, I smiled and took two steps closer to him
“Are you sure about that? Are you sure he's not interesting like you said? The last time I checked you were the one who sucked his IG, you were the one who called him first and you were the one did everything first” I smirked looking at his angry Express, I know instantly that I've hit the nail by the head,
“What are you trying to say?” He growl
“Nothing” I shrugged
“I just hope you stick to your words, remember you said he's not interesting, I'll do well to send your reply to him” I smile,
“See you in class”
I left proudly knowing that I shut him up and made him eat his own words, I just cannot stand and watch someone look down on my friend, I have to mentally remind Charles to stay away from Ethan, he might be a friend to Liam but that does not mean he's not capable of anything, I think I underestimated him before, forgetting that the quiet ones are always the dangerous ones.
I walked back to the class and Kelly waved at me, I happily went t and sat beside him, although I could feel Liam’s eyes on me but I didn't care anyways,
“What do we have now?” I asked him
“Hmmm, I think is Anatomy 301”
“Ohh okay” I mumbled, bringing out my note. I stayed with Kelly till class was over, and then it was time for his basketball practice, since this practice started I'm always going home alone, but today it's not going to be the same cause Charles is coming to pick me up and we both planned to have a sleepover at his place tonight, although I haven't told Liam about it but I planned to text him later.
I waited for Kelly outside the changing room cause I won't be going with him to the basketball court,
“Are you done changing?”
“Hmmm” He smiled staring down at me, Kelly is literally as tall as Liam, and whenever I'm standing before him I always looked so small,
“Here is water you can take whenever you feel dehydrated during the practice okay?”
“Hmm” He hummed taking the bottle water from me,
“Open your mouth” I said to him and he opened his mouth, I threw in the refreshing minty chewing gum that I bought for him
“It's good for boosting energy”
“Hmmm” He nodded in smiles,
“Wow Taylor, I've never seen you being this loving to anyone before” I heard an unfamiliar voice and turned to see Great, he's the basketball captain, and he was literally standing with Liam and his friend
“Taylor can I get my own gum too, I need energy booster” Eden pouted,
“Back off, my girlfriend’s special treatment is only for me,” Kelly boasted and wrapped his arms around my waist. I looked at Liam's expression and I knew it's over. Ethan was smirking by the corner, I gently unwrapped Kelly's arm from my waist, cause Liam's gaze were literally piercing and burning at this point,
“I'll see you off” Kelly said and grabbed my hand as we left,
Why do I feel like I just did something wrong, when clearly I haven't done anything.
