Charles finally came and picked me up and right now we are currently at the grocery store because we wanted to make dinner together, so we decided to Vlog together while doing grocery shopping.
“What should we make tonight?” Charles asked looking around
“Hmmm, have you seen this viral 3 times spicy budak noodles that has been trending on tiktok?”
“Don't tell me you want us to try that?” Charles asked looking shocked,
“Of course we should try doing something fun at least”
“Alright, let's do it” Charles said in full spirit like his spirit was just lifted
“Really?” I asked in surprise
“Hmmm” He hummed,
“Are you ready for the vlog?” I said to him
“Sure” He smiled, I brought out my phone and began recording, while Charles was rolling the carts I was recording us,
“I think we need eggs” I pointed and Charles picked a half dozen of eggs
“This is enough right?”
“Perfect” I gave him the okay sign. We were both so happy especially since it's our first time vlogging, I've noticed that whenever I'm with Charles I'm always so free it's almost like I'm with a sibling, I like that I can completely be myself around him and that's because he makes me so comfortable that I can't even feel uncomfortable.
“Look Taylor, the budak noodles that you've been talking about” Charles pointed excitedly, I ran towards the section where the noodles were displayed,
“Wow, this is going to be so fun” I turned smiling at Charles and he nodded vigorously
“How many are we getting?” He asked picking the noddles,
“Just two, since it's our first time trying them”
“Ohh okay” He hummed and picked two,
“This is actually fun” Charles said happily and I can feel it in his voice and in his facial expression he's indeed happy. We ended up buying a lot of things that we will be using in making the noodles including hot dogs and the drink that we will be having tonight after which we drove home.
On getting to Charles apartment, no I was wrong cause I initially thought that Charles lived in an apartment but why in the hell am I seeing a penthouse in front of me, Charles was getting the things we bought from the backseat of the car while I stood here staring like a fool
“Taylor….”
“Taylor…..” Charles tapped my shoulder, I shuddered a bit jolting back to reality,
“Are you okay?” He asked in his tender voice, and that's when I gently turned to face him
“Charles?”
“Huh?”
“I thought you said you lived in an apartment, why a penthouse?”
“Uhm, ahhh, about that” He said like realization hit him
“Oh about the story I told you back then on how I was scammed?”
“Hmmm” I nod
“Actually I just lived in an apartment for the first three months I was here, and then I switched to a Penthouse, I haven't lived in an apartment before, America is actually my first time living in an apartment”
“Wow…..” I was amazed. I've always known that Charles is rich and humbled, but I never knew he was that rich to randomly buy a penthouse in a country he's studying, is that not a waste of money.
“It's cold let's go inside” Charles said to me, and that's when I noticed that he's been carrying everything we bought,
“Let me help you”
“I can carry them” He tried to insist but I helped him out nevertheless. We got to the entrance and Charles put in his fingerprint, the door opened as we made our way inside, as soon as we got in, the interior was exactly like Charles, calm and cozy, his house even reflected his attitude.
“Your house is beautiful Charles”
“Thank you Taylor I'm glad you like it”
“So which way is the kitchen?” I asked excitedly and Charles pointed,
“Lead the way” I said to him and he began walking while I gently followed behind him, we walked into the kitchen and I wasn't even surprised anymore, it's typical Charles taste.
I set my phone camera to capture everything we are going to do here tonight, Charles brought out everything we bought from the grocery store, he put the drinks in the fridge while we set forth to cooking, I dice the hotdog while Charles boiled the egg, we also bought beef so we are going to fry it,
“Taylor?” Charles called as he was turning on the cooker
“Hmmm”
“Can I ask you something?”
“Of course, come on I'm listening”
“Is Liam your first love?”
“Guess?” I smiled waiting for his answer
“Hmmm….yes?”
“You're right but what if I tell you that I've dated someone before”
“Huh!” He gasped in shock and I bursted out laughing so hard cause right now his facial expression is so funny
“You're shocked right?”
“Of course, but when was that?”
“Back at home in Sweden it was during my high school days, I was quite popular back then”
“Really?”
“Hmmm, guess my parents death affected me so much”
“Let's not talk about the sad part so tell me about it” Charles giggled happily like he's been waiting for the tea
“So what happened was back then my parents were so rich and one of the highest sponsors of my highschool”
“Wow, do you mean that you're one of the school queen bees I watched on K drama?”
“Actually not cause I was still the same as I am now just that I'm popular because of my parents influence, and back then I don't have friends”
“Really, so how did you get to date if you don't even like him?”
“I don't know he's one of the high school popular boys, I don't know why but he suddenly asked me out, I couldn't say no because I didn't think too much about it so I just went on with it”
“So what happened later, did you guys break up?”
“No, we didn't he was actually a good boyfriend, but my parents died and I moved”
“Did you ever tell him that you didn't like him?”
“I told him at first he said he was going to make me fall for him although I knew it was impossible for me to fall for him but I still wanted to give him a chance, he was a good person”
“That means you dated him out of pity?”
“Not really I genuinely like him as a friend, maybe if I had stayed longer I would have fallen for him”
“What's his name?”
“Ray”
“Ray?”
“Hmmm his name is Ray, enough about me, tell me about you, have you dated before?”
“No”
“Wooow, really?”
“Hmmm”
“But do you currently have a crush on someone?”
He blushed on hearing that and I knew immediately that he's got someone
“You have a crush…..!” I yelled,
“Hmmm”
“Tell me who's he? Spill the tea, come on, I can't wait, is he in your university?”
“Uhmmmm…..”
Charles was about to reply when my phone began to ring, it's Liam
Fuck I forgot to message him. I quickly ended the video and swipe on the green icon
“Where are you?” Came his deep velvet baritone angry voice
“I'm sorry I forgot to text you, I'm sleeping over at Charles place tonight”
