Liam ended up dropping me back at home and drove out cause he got a call from his friends,I mentally reminded myself never to go back to that particular Chanel store ever again.
I was home alone and bored . There was nothing for me to do so I decided to randomly scroll through my social media and of course I'm mostly active on Instagram. As soon I opened my Instagram I was surprised to see a message from Kelly
*Hey Taylor, remember to come early tomorrow to wish me good luck ahead of the match*
And that's when it clicked me that the match is tomorrow, I quickly replied him with an *Okay* I dialed Charles number immediately and thank goodness he picked on the first ring
“Hey pumpkin pie?”
“Hey Charles, just wanted to know if you're busy at the moment?”
“Uhm not really, is everything okay?”
“Sure, I just wanted you to accompany me to get something for my friends remember the basketball championship match is tomorrow”
“Of course I remember, do you need me to pick you up?”
“Hmm I want us to go to a local store I need to get them good luck gifts”
“Alright I'm on my way”
“Thanks” I smiled and hung up, I can't believe that I almost forgot the gift I wanted to get for Liam and Kelly.
It didn't take long and Charles came, I got into his car and we left for the local Market.
“You look so excited?”
“Of course I am, the people close to me has a big day tomorrow I'm excited and nervous too”
“Are there friends participating too?”
“You mean Liam's friends or Kelly's friends?”
“Both”
“Of course, they are all basketball players so they are playing tomorrow”
“Wow” Charles smiled,
“You're coming with me tomorrow right? I need someone by my side since I'm going to be alone tomorrow”
“Sure, I'll be there for you” He said to me with glistening eyes and right now I can't help with how cute and precious he looks. I just want to put him inside my bag and protect him from the rest of the world. We finally got to the local store and I cannot wait to check out the things that I want to get, this is not just some regular local store it's also a place you can get things with good omen and luck, things that will bring you positive energy, so you can also call this fortune store, traditional store or whatever you want to call it according to your description. A lot of travellers come here and even couples come here to get things like couple bracelets and stuff, so today I'll be getting some good luck stuff for my friends.
I dragged Charles into the place as we began to look around for what we want to buy,
“That necklace looks good” Charles pointed at a black thread necklace with a blue heart on it, I looked at the card beside it and it was written *winners are not born they are made, and you wearing this can become one* immediately I read that write-up I became inspired immediately, and took the necklace
“I'm getting this one for Liam” I said to Charles,
“It's nice” Charles smiled, we began walking around searching for something else, I saw a pink face cap and immediately I thought of Charles, it was not some regular stylish expensive brand cap, no, it was a woolen cap with the caption *cutie pie* I immediately thought of Charles cute nature, it sooth him perfectly, so I dragged Charles towards the section the cap was, I brought out the cap and put it on Charles,
“Wow this soothes you perfectly”
“Really?” He blushed like he normally use to and I nod,
“Okay I'll pay” He muttered and try to pull out his wallet but I stopped him immediately,
“I'm buying it for you”
“Really?”
“Of course you're my friend too, a precious one, don't tell me that we are gonna come here and I won't get you anything, I'm not that crazy” I smiled at him and parted his shoulder,
“Thank you Taylor” He pouted
“You're the best” I winked at him as we continue looking around, now I just need to get something for Kelly my best friend and we are done, I've always known that many travellers and international people come to this store but I didn't know I was going to bump into Asians as well.
After searching around for sometime I sighted a bracelet that have tiny cowries on them it has a tag *I attract only trophies and medals* I was captivated immediately and made up my mind that I was getting that for Kelly so I picked it,
“You like that?” Charles asked
“Hmm it looked so sacred I think it's something Kelly would like”
“I like it too, let's get it” Charles said to me giving me his full support and that's was all I needed as I grabbed it and we went to the Cashier and paid, Charles and I saw a local food stores and road side vendors by the side after coming out of the local store, they were selling a lot of locals and Charles and I decided to try out some food,
The first stand we walk to was the grill meat stand, the local vendor gave us the tasting for the grill meat and it tasted so good, Charles and I ended up eating a lot on the spot and also buying some to take home, we went to the next stand, it was a coconut juice stand, whereby they cut opened the coconut add some ice and straw then you can enjoy your coconut juice, we also tried that out and it tasted so good,
“Wait” I said to Charles as I brought out my phone and took pictures of us sipping the coconut juice, I quickly updated it on my Instagram story with the caption *fun time with my cutie pie at the local market*
We decided to try out the next stand which is going to be our last before going home, it was the Indian road side food, I've always wanted to try it out and never expected that I'll see one here in California
“Uhm what's this called?” I asked the man selling it
“Pani puri try it you're going to like it” The man persuaded us, the couples that were standing there before us looked like Africans and they were so cute
“Try it guys it's so nice” They persuaded us and that was the only thing I needed, I asked the man to make our own and he did, immediately Charles and tasted it, our eyes widened in shock it was so freaking good
“You like it right?” The couples asked us and I nodded giving them a thumbs up.
“I told you” The lady smiled at me. Charles and I ended up eating so much and by the time I got back home I was so tired that I just want to hit the bed but on getting to my room I was surprised to see so many designer Channel boxes on my bed,
Filled with confusion I opened the first box and almost screamed seeing it was the $45000 dollar purse I rejected, my hands was shaking at this point I opened the second one it was the $10,000 dollar bag I rejected, I opened the third one it was the fucking $15000 bag I rejected, did Liam fucking lie that he's going to see his friends just to get me these purse,
“Liam………!” I yelled but it was all in my head cause right now, I can't help but feel emotional
Why is he doing this for me? I'm not that important, he doesn't even love me, why is going out of his way to get me these even though they are all expensive.
I know I should be screaming at him because of the prices, but I'm touched to the bone that I don't even know how to react, I'm just overwhelmed.
I left my room immediately in search of Liam.
