Ashley's POV
After Besty left, I turned to Jacob's slouching body and pondered whether being left alone with him was a good idea or not. But then again, if Besty stayed and tried to talk to Jacob, I know she will not last a second before she break his neck right before my very eyes. Though I'm not so sure if she's even able to do that, but seeing as her current state was telling me millions of reasons to send her to have a little walk, I guess choosing the idea of talking alone with Jacob is the best way to go.
I sighed, not really in the condition to talk to someone, especially if this specific someone is my current stalker. Also, I still haven't wrapped my head around the fact that my stalker is none other than Jacob, Jeremy's close friend and team mate in soccer.
Sighing once again, I walked towards the opposite bench and sat in order for me to face him.
As I trained my eyes on him, I noticed his features looked some kind of defeated and utterly sad, as well as the look of pure guilt. Though it's understandable why he's feeling that way because of what he has done. But even with that said, I still feel sorry for him. For some odd reasons.
"Aren't you suppose to explain something to me?" I started which made him snap out of his thoughts and blink rapidly before his eyes finally landed on mine.
"Uh." He breathed out as he obviously tries to compose his thoughts.
I waited there on my seat for him to finally get a hold of himself for a few seconds. But when he didn't do or say anything, I decided to speak up.
"Okay look. If you're just gonna sit there and act like I'm not even here then might as well just leave." I told him as I made a move of getting out of my seat and leave. But before I can take one step away from the bench I was sitting, he finally spoke.
"Wait." He said. Halting me on the spot. "I was just at loss for word, I'm sorry." He stated as he shook his head. "I didn't know what to say for you to believe me or for you to atleast forgive me."
I sat back down on my seat and placed both my hands on my lap.
"I just want to hear the reasons why you did what you did, Jacob. That's it. As for the forgiving part, it's totally up to me if I'll forgive you or not. But for now, I want to hear your reasons." I admitted calmly as I looked at him straight in the eyes.
He looked away from me and stared at the table.
He sighed. "Even I don't know the reasons why I did those things, Ash. But one thing I know that led me to do it was desperation." He paused as he took a glance at me as he make sure I was listening. "I was too desperate to talk to you that I thought what I did was the right thing to do. Even though clearly, it's pure stupidity and idiocy. I was too desperate to finally have your attention on me that I even introduced a whole new person to you. And that was the biggest mistake I've made."
I frowned not getting the point he's sending my way. "I-I... I still don't get it. Why were you desperate to talk to me?" I asked as I looked at him with my face contorted to confusion.
He looked down again, avoiding my gaze.
"I... uhm... I-I..." He said as he struggled for words once again.
"You what?" I urged which only caused for him to get fidgety on his seat.
He bit his lip before finally speaking.
"I like you Ash. I like you so, so much." He confessed as he trained his eyes on the table. Making it look like he's confessing to the table rather than to me.
My frown deepened as I looked away and turned towards the kids playing in the playground.
"Since when?" I questioned, still not meeting his gaze.
He paused.
"Since freshmen year." He said.
And after hearing his answer, I turned my head towards him and connected my eyes with his.
When I didn't say anything, I guess that prompted him to explain a little bit further.
"Freshmen year when I first laid eyes on you, I knew I liked you. I knew I have to do something to get to know you and be friends with you. But instead of making a move to try to approach and introduce myself to you, I cowered away. I was too afraid of rejection." He paused as he recalled the past three years. "Too afraid that I decided to send you letters and place them in your locker. I was too afraid to introduce myself to you that I decided to send you random gifts on special holidays. And I was too afraid to tell you who I am that I decided to look at you and admire you from afar. Hidden in the shadows. Safe where I am far from rejection."
"You were the one who did all those?" I asked as I remembered everything that happened during my freshmen year. The letters I receive almost every day, the gifts I get every special occasions, especially on valentines and the constant feeling of having a pair of eyes watching my every move.
And all those time, it was him.
"And since then, you were the only person I laid eyes on, Ash. The only person I admire, treasure, and adore as I stayed hidden from anyone's view." He admitted with his eyes trained on me, showing nothing but honesty and sincerity.
I was confused. I didn't get why it was me. Why he chose me out of all the people for him to give all his attentions to.
"But, why..... me?" I asked as I stared back at him. "There's.. there's nothing special about me for you to like. I'm... I'm just plain me."
He smiled. "And that's the reason why I like you so much. You're simplicity and your personality shines brighter than anyone in the school. You may think so little of yourself but I know you're genuine, kind, smart, compassionate, and overall the best person." He stated which left me speechless.
"This may sound crazy but, I joined the soccer team because of you." He admitted again catching my very being off guard.
I frowned, unsure if what I heard was right.
"You what?"
A small smile then gazed his face as he stared at me. "I decided to join the soccer team in hopes of you finally noticing me. But I guess it didn't turn out the way I thought it would be. Instead of you noticing me, you noticed Jeremy. You started to grow huge interest on him instead of me. Honestly, it hurts when I look at you but then find out you were staring at him, especially during a game. It hurts to see that the person you like, only see you as another person standing in the background."
And all of a sudden a pang of guilt struck me in the gut.
"So when Jeremy finally owned the spotlight as the school's famous soccer player, I decided to be friends with him and be around his famous friend bubble. And for only one reason, be able to see you closer. Though like I said, you only see me in the background, I still held on to the feelings I have for you that one day you'll look at me the way you look at Jeremy. That it will be me that can cause for you to blush so intensely whenever you're being complimented. And till now, I still hold on to that feelings."
"Which only led you to do the stupidest things ." I interjected.
He nodded his head. "Yeah. Which indeed led me to do the stupidest things." He paused. "But now that I fully regret what I did, I hope you'll hear my apologies. And I will do everything for you to forgive me."
I was quiet, Speechless even. I didn't know what to say or to reply. I was shocked in all that he said. It was very overwhelming and at the same time mind blowing. Am I really that blind not to see him? Or am I blinded with my feelings for Jeremy that I didn't even notice that it was him giving me all the attention all along?
I feel like such a horrible person for doing such things. But then again, I was to naive back then and didn't know what I was doing. So I guess I'm not to blame for it.
"Ash?" Jacob spoke, snapping me from my train of thoughts.
I looked up at him. "Yeah?"
He looked at me worriedly. "Are you okay?"
I shook my head. "I don't really know. I guess I'm still sinking it all in that I didn't know what to say."
"I'm sorry if I overwhelmed you."
I smiled. "It's fine. I'm just really slow at catching up sometimes so bear with me." I let out a small chuckle to lighten up the mood a little.
"Okay. So uhm....." He trailed off as he tried to make a casual conversation, making me smile mentally (which was weird).
"Yeah?" I urged making him blush all of a sudden.
He took a deep breath trying to prepare himself. "So I was thinking. I was just hoping we could make a fresh start? You know, just talk, hang out and get to know each other?"
I pursed my lips as I though about what he said.
"I mean it sounds like a good way to start again, but I still don't trust you." I stated.
He nodded his head. "I understand. It's never easy to trust people these days."
"Yeah. Tell me about it." I replied with a chuckle.
"But I'll do my best to gain your trust. No matter how or what it takes, I'll still do it."
I smiled at his determination. "It's gonna take long Jacob. So better be prepared." I teased making him shiver. Which also made me look at him weirdly.
Did he just shiver on me?
"Did you just shiver?" I voiced my thoughts.
He then blushed again. "Oh uhm... sorry. It's just..... it felt good when you called me by my name. It feels so powerful to me."
"Oh. Uhm.... okay?" I stated sounding confused and unsure.
Well that was weird.
"Sorry. I just can't contain myself when it comes to you." He responded making me blush.
"Oh. Uhm, is it a bad thing or a good thing?" I asked trying not to sound as confused and make things a lot weirder than it already is.
"I guess it's a good thing. Hell, you can even ask me to be your slave and I'd gladly do it in a mere second." He said once again catching me off guard.
"Woah hold up. No one's going to be a slave by anyone, okay? Slavery is long been forgotten here in this land and those 300 years of pure terror being given by our colonizer is long over." I stated as my nerdy side pushed to the surface.
Why do I have to be so weird in the already weird moment? Do I really have that talent of making things worse? If yes, then give me an Olympic medal.
"Relax Ash. I was just kidding." He said with a small smile.
I gave him a very weak glare. "Well if you didn't mention slavery then my nerdy self wouldn't be talking right now."
He chuckled softly with his slightly deep voice.
"This is why I've fallen hard for you Ash." He said between chuckles. "You're humor never cease to make me happy." He added.
Well at least someone appreciates my weirdness.
"Uhm thanks." I replied with a smile.
But then I realized something.
"Wait what?" I asked as I remembered the first words that he said.
He stopped chuckling and looked at me in confusion.
"What?" He asked.
"What was the first one that you said?"
"Uh I told you to relax?" He replied quite unsure.
"No, not that. The other one."
"That your humor makes me happy?" He stated but that was not it.
"No, I swear there was something before that."
He furrowed his brows. Then I guess he understand what I was trying to mean cause a look of realization hit his face and blushed hard.
"And?" I urged making him blush even more if it's even possible.
He blinked. "I didn't say anything before that."
I squinted my eyes on him. "Really? Cause I feel like you did."
"Maybe you're imagining things." He said with a casual chuckle.
I shrugged. "Maybe or maybe not."
He chuckled again. "But yeah. I just want to know If I still have a chance to make it up to you?"
I swear to god, I know he said he's fallen for me.
Lord, this is so awkward.
What should I do?
"Uhm, I'll think about it." Is my only reply.
He nodded. "That's totally fine with me. As long as you're comfortable then take all the time you need."
Well then.
"Thanks."
We both went quite for a while. Just sat there and didn't utter a word. Maybe we were both trying to compose our thoughts so we can have a casual conversation but neither are successful in having a certain topic.
I was about to just spill random crap when Jacob cleared his throat.
"So uh, how are you and Jeremy?" He asked out of nowhere.
I frowned. "Uh there is nothing between me and Jeremy. Everyone knows that."
He furrowed his brows. "You haven't heard yet?"
Then confusion enveloped me.
"Heard about what?"
He didn't reply right away. He looked like he was debating with himself whether to tell me or not.
"Some students at school are spreading rumors that you and Jeremy are dating."
And if I said my eyes was about to pop, it would be an understatement.
Are these freaking people really that bored to spread this bullsh*t?
But clearly, I did not expect this. I didn't even know people would do such thing. I mean, everyone at school even the faculty and staff knows how straight Jeremy is. And now, they're spreading rumors that he's gay and dating me? How did that even happen?
"I guess it all started when he approached you that day. I'm guessing someone saw it and maybe took some pictures and started spreading lies about it just to gain everyone's attention." Jacob said.
"Someone took a picture of us?" I asked agape.
He nodded. "I'm afraid so." He paused as he fetched his phone out of his pocket.
He then started scrolling through it as he searched for something on his mobile.
After finding what he was searching for, he turned the phone to me. And there I saw Jeremy standing there while talking to me. "It was posted by a dummy account on instagram." He said as I stared at the picture.
"But why would they make a huge deal about it. He just approached me and nothing else. Even you were there along with your other friend. I'm sure you know that." I was starting to panic but I held it in.
"I know. That's why I was wondering if it was true, that's the reason why I asked just to have it confirmed." He defended.
"So you're saying, you thought Jeremy and I are dating? For goodness sake, he have a girlfriend." I exclaimed still trying to restrain myself.
"Well he doesn't have a girlfriend now. Everyone thinks she was just a cover up so he can protect his reputation as the school's famous soccer player. And after her girlfriend heard about the spreading rumor, she broke up with him."
And all I can do was sit there unable to utter a word.
"Oh my god." I whispered.
"I didn't mean to scare you because of this Ash. But I just thought you already knew that's why I opened up about it."
"Why.... How is this happening?" I questioned clearly not understanding the situation.
"I don't know Ash. But one thing is for sure, if we didn't do anything about it then it's gonna spread like wildfire throughout the school. And it's not gonna be good if the whole school knows about this rumor, especially the staff."
I was speechless. I didn't know what to do and I was so scared when school starts this Monday again. I'm scared of the looks that the students are going send my way just because they think I'm dating a famous guy.
"I'm gonna call Besty." I stated as I fetch my phone from my pocket.
He nodded and waited there on his seat silently as I dialed my best friend's number.
After a few rings, Besty answered. And as expected, she bombarded me with questions.
B: "Is something wrong? Is Jacob still there? Did he do something? Ashley tell me what's wr....."
Me: "Cut it out. I'm fine. And yes, Jacob is still here. But I have something important to tell you." I told her through the phone as I kept my cool. Well, barely kept my cool.
B: "What is it?"
Me: "Just come back here quick." I urged and hurried her to come here faster.
B: "Fine. I'll be there in 5 minutes. And also, I have someone for you to meet."
Me: "Who is it?"
B: "You'll see."
And with that she hang up on me.
After 5 minutes like what she said, she finally arrived, but with an unexpected guest. A freaking boulder is walking behind her.
The heck did I just saw.
Were those muscles or what? Cause I'm quite sure those are in fact muscles. Good God, those are huge.
Goodness, why am I thinking about this when there is something more important than checking a god damn greek god.
My head is so damn messed up right now. Like big time.
First, I found out about this fast spreading rumor and then second, Besty introducing a freaking sex god in human form to me.
Someone give me a b*tch slap, please.
"So what is this that you're trying to tell me?" She said as she approached us, effectively snapping me out of my messy thougts.
I looked back and forth between her and the guy standing a few distance behind her.
"Uh." I uttered.
"What?" She asked as she stared at me with furrowed brows.
I blinked.
Then she raised her brows at me.
"So?" She pushed, clearly forgetting about her guest standing quietly behind her.
"Uhm, who's he?" I asked in a whisper which only then Besty realized.
"Oh shoot. I forgot." She said hurriedly as she turned to the guy. "Ash this is Connor. A friend of mine. Connor this is Ash, my tiny best friend."
"Excuse me?" I asked as I stared at my best friend in disbelief.
I really thought she was going to stop at the best friend part, but what a bonus.
"Be true to yourself boo. Accept it and own it." She stated like it was nothing.
Well she just introduced me to her friend and called me tiny. How am I suppose to feel about that?
"Ashley Rose, there are more important things to discuss than you calling me tiny so please apologize." I called her out which made her look at me like if I was kidding.
"And why would I apologize for saying the truth?" She defended which made me throw a glare at her.
Is she seriously going to tease me about this right now? The whole school is spreading rumors about me and Jeremy for Christ's sake.
"You're unbelievable." I shook my head.
"I know right. Everyone thinks so." She cooed at herself making me roll my eyes.
"Get your head out of your butt besty. We all know that's not true." I stated when she glared at me while this Connor guy let out a deep chuckle.
Damn that chuckle gave me goosebumps all over the place. And when I say all over, you know what I mean.
Pubic hairs at stand. And something else.
God damn it. Ash focus.
Anyways.
"That is so not true. Everyone would agree with me that I am beyond awesomeness." She exclaimed again making me mentally groan.
"Too conceited." I breathed out. "Okay sit down besty before you hurt yourself." I stated making Jacob and Connor laugh at besty's pouting face.
"You're such a bully, you midget." She said as she sat on the chair on my left.
"Call me midget all day besty. But that won't change the fact that you're a conceited brat." I retorted back teasingly.
She shrugged. "That's fine. It's the truth anyways."
When she was settled, she turned to Connor and motioned him to sit. When the guy made a move on taking the seat on my right, besty stopped him.
"Hold it right there. You go sit next to my midget Besty. It's a much nicer view." She said making my eyes go wide.
She didn't just...
"Let him sit where he wants, you control freak." I called besty out in which she just ignored.
"What? It's obvious that he's already head over heels for you. So why not make the first move for him, right?" Besty stated as he send a wink towards Connor.
I turned to Jacob and saw him watching Connor with careful eyes. It's like he's observing him. For what reason? I have no idea.
"Okay this is the time you go quiet Ashley." Connor said and I frowned. He then moved next to me and slowly sat.
Was he referring to me?
"Who, me?" I asked as I pointed to myself.
He looked down at me with confused stare. "Huh?"
Besty laughed.
Oh that brat. She didn't tell him we have the same first name.
"We have the same first name. If the nickname Ash didn't gave it away." She said with a chuckle.
This woman can be so mean.
Then realization hit Connor's features. "Oh. Sorry. I was talking to her. I didn't mean for it to sound rude or anything." He said as he gave me an apologetic smile.
I smiled back. "It's fine. We're used to the constant confusion." I said as I giggled.
I freaking giggled.
Would you believe that? I just giggled like a high school girl in front of two freaking hot guys. (Don't include besty. She's a trash, and yes, she's a guy. She doesn't have any boobs, if you count the nipples.)
"That was adorable." Jacob said, finally breaking his silence.
And with that tiny compliment, (no pun intended.) I blushed.
"Super adorable." Besty seconded making my blush deepen.
"Extra super adorable." Connor added next to me in which I'm sure I'm gonna start bleeding on the cheek for blushing too much.
"Okay guys, that's enough." I interrupted causing for them to chuckle at me.
I can only handle a few amount of compliments for a day. And when it surpasses that, I get high......
Of weed.
Kidding.
But anyways. When they are all calmed down, Besty spoke up first.
"Seriously speaking though. What is this important thing that you want to tell me?" She asked and I hesitated for a second whether to tell her when her friend is here or just tell her later instead.
And just like reading my mind, she added. "Don't worry, Connor is very trustworthy person. It's gonna be fine whatever this thing is."
I nodded and gave Connor an apologetic smile. I mean, I don't know the guy so it's completely normal that I don't trust him.... yet.
"Uhm. So someone was being a total idiot and started spreading rumors at school about me and Jeremy that we are dating." I spoke softly, trying to make the situation a bit bearable for her even though it's totally not.
"WHAT?"
Yep. She took it very well like expected.
"Jacob told me earlier that it's now the talk among the senior students, and I'm sure by now, almost everyone at school knows." I added which didn't help on Besty's rising temper.
"Who did it?" She asked angrily as she turned to Jacob.
"I don't know. I also just heard about it and thought Ash already knew." He told besty causing for her to turn to me.
"When did this started?" She asked.
I shook my head. "I'm not so sure, but by what Jacob told me, it started when Jeremy approached me that day."
"Are you serious? It happened on Monday! So it's almost a week now." He exclaimed in shock.
"I guess so." I spoke lowly, didn't really know what to say.
"So what are we going to do? We have to do something about this before this gets out of hand. We all know rumors spread like wildfire and if this gets too much, it can cause damage to both you and Jeremy." She paused. "But I still don't get it. Jeremy have a girlfriend. Why would someone think he's dating a guy?" She questioned.
"Well, I'm assuming those who started this just wanted some drama at school to get attention. And in my guess, they're doing this to destroy Jeremy's reputation as the school's star player." Jacob stated.
"But why are they putting my best friend into this mess? He didn't do anything!" She exclaimed still searing with anger.
Jacob shook his head. "I don't know. People will do anything to hurt other people for no reason. That's just how some people's mind works."
"Well that is very unacceptable. We all know if this rumor gets to the board of staff, Ash and Jeremy might get in trouble." She said and she is right. I might get in trouble for this.
"I am aware. That's why I'm trying to come up with something to stop this mess." Jacob said which caused besty to look at him suspiciously.
"And why would you do that?" She asked.
Jacob smiled. "Because Ashley Rose, I am head over heels for your best friend."
And I swear, Besty's eyebrows disappeared into her scalp.
Connor's POV
"Because Ashley Rose, I am head over heels for your best friend."
Well looks like I already have myself a competition.
But we'll see what this guy can do.
I would always love a little competition. It's clear that this Jacob guy works out very well considering his size for his age. I'm assuming he's already 18 and plays sport for him to gain that body build. And I have to say, I'm impressed.
I can say I am well built myself because I work out a lot especially when it's really a necessity. But yeah, I don't just tone my body well because I think it's necessary, but because I know it's going to make me fit and add up to my looks.
Everyone should have that kind of lifestyle. But unfortunately, some people doesn't care of their own well being and just do all this stupid stuff that can cause damage to their own body in the long run. But who am I to judge right? It's their life, not mine. And I have my own to take care of, so why bother thinking of other's well being if they themselves decided to neglect it.
But anyways, as I said earlier. I don't really mind the competition. Even if I am way older than Jacob, I will still give him a fair fight. Be the best man who wins Ash's attention. And of course, me being up to the challenge, I will make sure I will win Ash in the end. I mean, not to sound conceited but, Jacob still have a lot of things to learn from the world and how things go and works. And I must say, I am well experienced enough to have the moves to win my pretty little bunny over.
"Wait what?" I was snapped from my thoughts by Rose's voice.
"I said, I like Ash." Jacob repeated with a proud smile.
"And do you think I approve of you trying to date my best friend? Ha! Dream on lover boy." She said and I fought the urge to smirk.
I already know I have Rose's approval when it comes to dating her best friend. But just to be formal, I will still ask her and court her first so she'll fully approve of me to be her best friend's boyfriend.
"I will prove myself worthy of your best friend. I will promise you that." Jacob stated causing for Rose to scoff.
"Yeah. Like I believe that. Do you really think that I will just forgive you for what you did to my best friend? Heck to the no. You terrorized him because of your stupidity and I will never forgive you for that." She retorted as she folded her arms on her chest.
Interesting. So this guy did something for Rose to disapprove him this much? I bet it must be serious then.
"But I'm still going to try." Jacob said as he sent Ash a smile. And I fought the urge to glare at him.
Am I being possessive already? That's just way too unusual.
"Try and try, but I will never approve of you." Rose said.
"Okay stop. This is definitely not the topic I am trying to discuss here. There's rumors about me and Jeremy spreading in school for god's sake. So please, can you guys act mature for once? I'm already trying to think of some way to solve this mess. So at least try and help." Ash said with a small frown on his face.
It's evident that he's stressed out because of this said rumor. I wonder who did it and why they decided to include Ash in it? I'm sure it's not just because they want to destroy this Jeremy guy. There must be another hidden reason. And I want to know what.
If I'm going to court Ash and start dating him, might as well get myself involved in this mess they gave him. After all, if he's going to be my boyfriend, I want him to depend on me no matter what.
I turned to Ash's slouching form next to me. "What about you go talk to Jeremy about it? Ask him if he had any enemies as he was starting with his career. Maybe you'll get some answers that can help you track who made this bullsh*t." I said trying to come up with something helpful.
He shook his head with a lost look on his face. "I don't even know if he still want to talk to me because of this."
"Well there's nothing wrong if you try. If he decides to ignore you then we'll come up with something else." I added causing for him to smile up at me.
"I guess I can do that." He replied as he thought about it.
"There's no pressure. If any of your friends come up with something better then we'll go to that instead. It's just a suggestion so don't stress about it, okay?" I told him in which he replied with a small nod.
"Connor's right. And I will also go do some searching of who actually started this rumor so we can put an end to it. I'll go talk to some SSG member and ask if they can do something for me. After all, it's one of their job to keep the school in peace for the whole school year. So might as well put some of them to work." Rose suggested as well in which made Ash smile.
"I can also ask some guys on my team if I can find anything helpful. Maybe use some of my connections at school to get some informations out." Jacob chirped in trying not to be left out of the conversation.
Ash smiled gratefully. "Thanks guys."
"So Jacob. Do you have any other information how this started?" I asked the guy sitting across from me and Ash.
"Well one thing I heard is that they found a letter inside Jeremy's now ex-girlfriend saying Jeremy is dating Ash. But for who put the letter there is still a mystery." He answered making me nod my head in thought.
"Is there any cameras in the school? It may help solve this mess if we can check it out?" I asked gaining all of their curiosity.
Rose hummed interestingly. "There are tons of cameras scattered around the school. I'm sure if this person put a letter on Jeremy's ex's locker then it must have happened in the hallways. In which, cameras are always on high monitor. But the only problem is, the maintenance staff is the only one who can get inside the monitor room."
"That is a good idea. The cameras must have caught this person and the only thing we have to do now is get a hold of the records." Jacob spoke up again. "What about you ask Lea. She's the SSG President right? So maybe she can squeeze you into the monitor room."
"Yeah maybe I can do that." Rose nodded as she fetched her phone from her pocket. Then she dialed something and placed the phone to her left ear.
"Hey Lea, can you come over here? Take Breinard and Joseph with you. There's an important matter I want to discuss with the three of you." Rose said to the phone as she talked to the person on the other line.
She listened to what the person was telling her before she replied.
"No. Ash is fine. We're here with Jacob right now so it's all good. Just come here. We have something I want to talk to the three of you." She responded.
All I can hear from the phone's earpiece was muffled talking.
"Okay. We're here near the kid's playground. You can find us easily. You know what's the color of the shirt I'm wearing is so we'll meet you here." She said to the phone.
After that, she hang up.
"Were they coming over?" Ash asked as he looked at his best friend.
"Yeah. They were on stand by outside so they're not far from us." Rose replied.
"Stand by?" I asked as I quirked my eyebrows up.
Rose chuckled. "Yeah. Well, we were here to supposedly meet Ash's stalker and then later on we found out it was just Jacob. So yeah, we came in prepared and asked my Dad that is a cop if he can stay on stand by just in case the person we're meeting happens to be a maniac. And I also asked some of my friends to stay close as well."
I chuckled. Maybe Jacob is not that smart after all.
Just saying.
I turned to him with a smirk visible on my face. "So you stalked Ash, huh? Nice move man."
And with that, he sent me a death glare which I wasn't near fazed. It will never faze me even though it can shoot literal daggers my way.
"Yeah. I did. But I'm trying to make up for it." He retorted back with a sound of irritation.
Looks like we have a competitor that is short tempered.
