Bella
"Didn't you get anything spicier than this?" I said looking up from my computer as I held the bags of chips James had brought. He shook his head as he cracked another row of the chocolate, moaning in delight. I chuckled as I watched him secretly smile before walking off somewhere in my apartment. I had noticed him being a lot more caring after the day I had fainted. It was funny really, but I wasn't complaining. He made me food, helped with the assignments and even brought me snacks! AHHH, poor little Jamie.
"Oh, Bels?" I heard him call after me from my room.
"Yeah?" I said, not paying him any more attention as I continued to write my assignment.
"Is this loverboys blazer?" I heard him say from behind me as I turned around to see him standing by my bedroom door with a sly smirk on his face. He held the blazer Lorenzo had given me the first day I met him. Lorenzo. He was beautiful. He held that dangerous aura with him, that made him look rough. However, he had been nothing, but sweet to me. From the first day I had met him where he gave me a ride, to taking me to a doctor. I had called him to thank him, but I secretly wanted to hear his voice. It oddly made me feel safe. As stupid as is sounds. I had heard a lot about him being a mafia or drug lord. Whatever. My point is that he is so....addicting. But I have to stay away. But he had kissed me! With lust and passion. If I didn't know him better, I would even say that he held me as if he was scared I would leave.
"Can you please just have your mind conversations in real life?" James said, pouting slightly. I sighed loudly shutting my computer before nodding.
"I have to tell you something" I said as I repositioned myself on the couch, giving James space. He sat down and put a blanket above us both.
"What?" he said smiling widely. I smiled back, not being able to hold back by seeing his grin.
"it's something serious. I don't know why I am smiling" I said leaning closer. We both probably look like two idiots, if someone was to walk in on us.
James laughed out loud as I chuckled. "I don't know why I am smiling either, but tell me" he said, not missing his grin.
I leaned closer before whispering the words I knew would probably kill my best friend. «He kissed me" I whispered and regret it the moment the words left my mouth. My eyes inspected his reaction going from confusion to shock. He stared at me for a while, scaring the shit out of me. I shook him holding his shoulders.
"James! You idiot! Talk" I demanded between my shooking sessions.
"OMG" he said before grabbing the blanket putting it above our heads. Now we looked like complete idiots. Two adults sitting in a living room with a blanket over our heads. Omg, this reminds me of a slumber party!
"Why do you always tell me stuff like this?" he said looking at me seriously. I chuckled nervously grabbing the chocolate from his hands putting it in my mouth. "it wasnt a proper kiss! just on the side of my mouth!" i rushed out. " Am I supposed to tell this to Ali because I aint doing that. Or worse, am I supposed to not tell anyone? Because then Ali will kill me when you snitch on yourself" he continued.
"James?" I asked innocently as he nodded in my direction. "Why are we sitting under a blanket?"
"Because the guy is stalking you. Heck, only god knows if he is watching us right now! Look, I don't even know how to react. I want to ask how the kiss was, BUT he is scary! How did you even have the balls to kiss the guy?!" he said looking at me as if his world had turned upside down. I slapped his arm lightly before correcting him;
"I didn't kiss him, he kissed me. It's a difference"
"That's all you heard from my whole rant? Now that you have dragged me in this, at least tell me how good loverboy is" he said smirking. Bipolar idiot.
I shrugged my shoulder as I replied; "It was...okay". It was out of the world
"Okay, my ass. I saw the way he touched you in the car that day. The guy held your thigh the whole ride to the doctor. He just wanted an excuse to touch you. Seems to me as if he has a lot of sexual tension to relief" he ranted looking at me before wiggling his eyebrows in my direction at the last part.
I pushed him out of the couch as I pulled the blanket from above us. James laughter was the last noise I heard in my living room, before I grabbed my laptop running to my bedroom to study.
