"I hate you so much right now," I told Cloud, an angry expression on my face. "I can't believe that I'm in the rector's office because a teacher found me half naked on his desk."
"It's not the end of the world," the devil laughed, really amused. "What really matters is the fact that I did not get the chance to take care of my erection."
"You are so freaking disgusting," I exclaimed, glaring at him. "I never got send in the rector's office in my entire life. Like, never! Why didn't you lock the damn door?"
"I forgot," he replied with a shrug. "I was more interested into pleasuring you than taking care of the door."
"Yeah, and now look where we ended," I snapped at him and I let out a sigh, feeling miserable.
Cloud and I were currently in the rector's office, sitting in front of his desk, waiting for him to arrive. Someone happened to ask for his assistance and he had to go check on the problem, so he told us to wait for him in his office. Of course, as soon as he left, Cloud suggested that we run away but I did not want to get into more trouble than I already were in.
"He is going to inform my parents," I realized and I grabbed my face in pure horror. "Oh my god, they are going to kill me. My mom is going to ask me to come back home and I will never see the sunlight again."
"Don't be so dramatic," Cloud said and he suddenly got an idea. "I can make sure that the rector doesn't tell anyone about it if you want."
"Sorry, but I don't want you to kill him," I told him and he huffed, rolling his eyes.
"Why do you instantly think that I'm going to kill him?" he asked me. "I don't always want to kill people."
"Yeah, sometimes you want to fu-" I stopped myself and chose not to finish my sentence.
Cloud smirked at me then and I just knew that he knew why I stopped talking so suddenly but thankfully, he did not comment on it.
"I'm not going to kill him, I'm just going to erase his memory," he cleared any misconceptions. "Just like I did with yours before."
"Everyone's memory seems to get erased lately," I remarked. "And what about that teacher that caught us?"
"I will do the same thing to him," was his reply and I sighed before nodding. There was no other way to get myself out of this situation so I might as well accept his solution to the problem.
It became quiet in the office and after a few minutes, I decided to speak again.
"I'm still angry at you, you know," I told Cloud as I started to play with my fingers.
"About the Eden thing?" he guessed it right on first try and I nodded slowly. He sighed, "I do know that."
"I want you to disappear into oblivion," I admitted then and he chuckled.
"That's really creative," he said and his smile disappeared soon after. "Look, about that, I wasn't trying to make you feel like if you were some sort of replacement for Eden."
"Well, I felt like it...I still do," I said quietly. "I mean, you took me to the special place that you and him shared together and you tried to do the exact same thing that you did to him to me. I don't really feel special about this."
"You are not a replacement," he tried to convince me and he passed a hand through his hair. He avoided my gaze, "This was a bad idea. I knew it instantly when we arrived at the place, but I did not know how to get myself out of this situation. I just went with the flow of things."
"Are you trying to apologize?" I asked him in disbelief.
"Maybe," he replied and he glanced at me. He raised his hand and caressed my cheek softly. "I can assure you that you and Eden are different. He's not you and you're not him. Believe me, I'm not trying to find another him. I have you now and that's enough for me."
I felt the heat come to my cheeks at his words and I immediately looked away. He didn't just say that, did he? It was too sweet for him to say. It was unlike him.
"Are you going to forgive me now?" he asked me with puppy eyes and I was unsure of myself.
It looked like if he was trying to manipulate me and deep down, I knew that I shouldn't let myself get fooled. It wouldn't turn out well between him and I anyway. It was obvious. Though, somehow, while looking into his eyes, I just let myself fall in his trap.
"Maybe," I replied at last and I grabbed his hand and pulled it away from my face. "Though, I'm still not okay with the fact that you forced your way on me."
"Come on, we both know that you enjoyed every second of it," he teased me, "Your moans prove my statement."
"I would have enjoyed it with any other guy," the words came out of my mouth before I even realized it and a shock expression came on his face.
"Any other guy?" he repeated. "I see that you have finally accepted your sexual orientation."
"Let's not talk about that now," I told him. "My point is you are not a special case. There are many who can please me."
"I so much want to bend you over this desk and have my way with you," he stated and I grimaced but I would be lying if I said that the image of us doing it like bunnies in the rector's office did not excite me.
"Who called you earlier?" I cleared my throat. I did not want to continue on this topic anymore.
"Oh, it was Estella," he replied and I waited for him to tell me more about it. "She was just informing me that she found the replica."
"She what?!" I exclaimed in disbelief just as the door opened and the rector walked in. I gave Cloud a glare while he looked at me innocently. I cling to my seat as the rector came to sit in front of us.
"Cloud, no surprise to see you here again," the rector stated and he glanced at me. "Mr Dickson, is that right?"
I simply nodded. I was boiling inside though. I knew that if I tried to speak, I would not be able to stop myself from shouting at that asshole next to me. Why did he not mention the reason behind the phone call much earlier? It was pretty damn important! I had been worried for so long about this and he just kept that bit of information from me. An information that would change my mood and day radically.
"I'm guessing that you are another one of Cloud's...puppets," the rector continued and I frowned. Then I remembered that fucking boys in empty classrooms was one of his regular activities.
"Do it now, Cloud, so that I can take your eyes out," I told the devil angrily and he chuckled.
"Do what now?" he asked me, playing dumb. "I don't know what you are talking about."
"Mr Dickson-"
"Freaking erase his memory so that we can have a talk," I shouted at him.
"You are really no fun," he pouted while getting up. He walked to the rector who looked at him with a questioning look and just when he was about to talk, Cloud grabbed his face and stared at him in the eyes. It was only a few seconds later that the rector fell unconscious, his head hitting against the table.
"Great," I exclaimed, standing up. "Now, why the fuc-"
"You sure you want to finish that sentence?" he asked me, amused and I clenched my fists.
"Okay," I groaned. "Why did you not tell me about what Estella said?"
"Well, you are the one who wanted normality," he said the last word mimicking my voice. "This is normality. You got in a public fight with a bimbo, you did some dirty things in an empty classroom, got caught and then you got sent to the rector's office. Telling you about this replica would have ruined all of that."
He got me there and I just did not know what to reply to that. Basically, he took my wish of being normal for one day into consideration. Well, I was sure that the part where he violated my body was more for him than for me but still, he did it.
"Let's just get out of here," I told him and I turned around to walk away. He followed quickly behind me. I felt him grab my hand and my heart started to beat fast suddenly.
Calm down, Luffy.
"How did they find the replica?" I asked him, glancing down at our hands. It was not like if it was the first time we took each others' hands but the situation seemed weirder on the moment.
"They did not find him, he found them," he clarified and I stopped, looking at him in confusion. He explained it to me then, "Storm did not want another death so he teleport Estella and him in the middle of Alexandria. They went to stay in a hotel for the night, when suddenly, someone came knocking at the door. It was the other you."
"They are coming back here then," I concluded happily.
"Well, they will come back once they find him," seeing my lost look, he added. "He ran away. I know it's really dumb but they somehow managed to lose him, though, Estella assured me that they will find him before another disaster happen."
"I can't believe it," I said honestly. "Those two are supposed to be strong and have powers, how could they have let him run away?"
"Hey, don't forget that he has unknown powers too."
"But they are two and he is alone."
"It's not always easy."
"You're an idiot," I exclaimed and he frowned.
"Really, Luffy, that's really sweet," he said and he released my hand before walking away.
"Where are you going?" I asked him in confusion.
"To pee. Wanna come?" he asked me in response, turning around to look at me with a smirk, he continued to walk backwards meanwhile.
"Hell no," I replied right away and he blew me a kiss before disappearing from my sight.
I sighed, shaking my head in disbelief. I looked around the empty hallways and decided to just walk in the direction of the class that I was supposed to be in. Though, not even two steps made, a girl, whom I did not see since a very long time, came into sight.
"Oh, Gina," I said in surprise as the latter walked to me. I talked to Emma earlier. Now I guessed that it was time to face her best friend. "It has been a-"
She touched me on the chest and suddenly, the background changed around us. We were no longer in the high school's hallways but in a vast plain and it was then that I noticed the murderous look in Gina's eyes. She pushed me away and I felt on the ground really hard. Her strength was incredible.
"What the hell," I exclaimed while quickly getting on my feet to step away from her. "What are you doing, Gina?"
"Taking my revenge," was her reply and she made a ball of fire with one hand. My eyes widened when she threw it at me and I got down just in time to miss it.
How did she do that?
"You are supposed to be human," I told her, looking around me to search for any form of civilization but no, there was only me and her here.
She laughed. "Yeah, I am supposed to act like a human. My cover was pretty good. Nobody knew about my true identity. I was having a nice life, that is until you came and ruined everything."
Another ball of fire came flying my way and this time, I felt the heat really closed. She was not human. Fucking great. Why was everyone not human nowadays? Why everyone coming into my life had to be a supernatural creature?
"What are you talking about?" I asked her, not understanding anything. I kept on stepping away from her as she tried to come closer to me. "What did I do to you?"
"You killed my sister," was her reply and I was confused.
"I never killed anyone in my life," I informed her and she huffed. She rubbed her hands and pronounced a few words that I was too familiar with. I could recognize that form of language now.
That girl was a witch.
Proof, the earth started to tremble suddenly and soon after, roots came out of the soil and circled my feet and arms. I yelped when I was suddenly forced on my knees. I tried to move but damn, I felt the roots' grip around me tightened.
"Don't move or else my little babies are going to crush your bones into tiny little pieces," Gina informed me and she came to stand just in front of me. She leaned down and grabbed me by my throat. "You, son of a bitch, you have no idea how long I have been waiting for this moment. I asked myself when you were going to come back here and finally, the time has come. True, Cloud got stick to you but when I saw him walk away, I knew that this was the perfect opportunity for me to act."
"Gina, let me go," I told her and she buried her nails into my skin. I let out a sound of pain.
"You just had to exist, didn't you?" she spat at my face and her nails buried in so deep that I started to feel a hot liquid pouring out. Damn, I was bleeding. "You just had to take the life of the one person that I loved the most."
"I didn't-"
"Azra died because of you," she cut me off in my sentence and I was really surprised. Azra had a sister? I did not know that. I did not even know that Gina had any siblings.
I noticed that Gina talks a lot when I started hanging out with Emma's group but she never really mentioned her family life. Now I understood why. Though, it was not me who killed Azra. It was Alexandro but something told me that even if I informed her about it, she would still kill me.
"I told her. I told her that joining the Vins was a bad idea but no, she did it anyway," Gina told me and I swear I could see the tears forming in her eyes. "She wanted to prove herself to everyone. She wanted to please Vance by giving him the one thing that he has always wanted."
She released my throat and I could finally breathe properly but my neck still hurt from her assault. She grabbed my face and looked at me with a crazy look in the eyes.
"It's you that he wants. It has always been you. I thought that if Vance got what he wanted, Azra would come back to me. That's why I called her when you arrived here," she told me and the expression on my face suddenly changed. She laughed at me and then pressed her forehead against mine. "Yes, Luffy, I'm the one who informed the Vins that you came in Storm Hill. And you know, all they had to do was to come and get you but somehow, you are still free and Azra, she's-she's dead."
That girl was mad crazy. I realized it just then and as the tears fell down her cheeks, she laughed hysterically. Though, me, I started to scream. Thorns suddenly started to grow on the roots and they scratched my skin. I was getting bloody.
"I'm going to revenge her now. Screw Master Vance, I'm going to kill you and I don't care if he comes after me after. I'm alone anyway," she said and I suddenly heard a voice in my head.
Kill her now.
No, I can't do this.
You have to or else she is going to kill you.
I'm not a killer.
You are either the killer or the victim, so kill her!
I can't! There will be no turning back for me if I do that!
You are not human! There is no way for you to return back to the normal world. Kill her now! We both know that you don't want to die!
He wasn't trying to save me. I knew that he was trying to save himself but he was right. Deep down, I did not want to die and even though, taking the life of someone was a big step that I did not want to take, I would have to do it.
"I'm sorry," I whispered and I let the power come to the surface. I guessed that I really needed Cloud's protection after all. He would have saved me from this. He would have prevented me from doing this, but, I was alone and I needed to fight on my own.
Gina did not see it coming. Soon the roots around me loosened and they attacked her. I could feel it at this instant; the control that I had over my powers. The roots circled her neck and as the thorns pierced through her skin, I saw the blood pouring out.
I raised her in the air. She tried to burn the roots to save herself but she was not strong enough for this. I was stronger. I tightened the roots more and more around her neck and soon, her head got cut off and her body fell to the ground.
I did not scream and I did not cry. I just remained still, looking at her headless body. I burned it into flames and soon after, I reappeared back at the high school. Gina's body was not with me though and I did not really question myself about it.
I knelt down, my clothes torn, and bloody. A single tear rolled down my cheek as I whispered the words that slowly killed me inside.
"Goodbye normality."
