Coveted (Completed) - Chapter 20: Chapter 20

We leave Maisie with Mary and follow Bishop out of the door. Now she is awake I can finally start planning everything we need to do to keep he with us for ever.
"Thank you" Angus tells Bishop once we reach the car park.
"For what?" he replies.
"For giving us your blessing, we will look after her" I tell him and he nods before reminding us
"Only if she want you, you're not there yet" he smirks "Get in, ill drop you back here for your car once we are done"
We head into town, first stop the lawyers offices, Bishops and Maisie's to sort out the land issue, then to the Police station to hand over all the information we have against Stewart Duncan and Caroline Strait. The Police were already aware she was not implicated in the attacks on Maisie and Mary, she was an accomplice in everything else and their greed had led to the actions Duncan had taken.
Jamison met us at the Police station, the family lawyer at his side and after a round of hand shaking we all went inside.
There was overwhelming evidence to ensure Duncan went away for a long time, while Straight would be charged with a lesser crime she would still get jail time. She was resigned to that and we had heard she was supporting the case against Duncan.
That over we were ready to head back to Maisie but Jamison and Bishop had other plans, guiding us into our hotel and a conference room. The room was set up with a video call and I groaned when I realised what was happening.
"Your fired" I grunted at Jamison who just laughed at me.
"Your ace is Bishop, your dad is a huge fan of his, make the introductions and see what happens" he whispered to me before connecting the car.
"Boys!" my father filled the video screen, looking twice as large as life and Jamison laughed again as we groaned.
"Hey Dad" we said back "this is Commander Bishop Fraser" I added quickly taking Jamison's advice and throwing him into the conversation.
"Commander Fraser, I am so happy to meet you, I am a huge fan of yours" Dad replies leaning forward and Angus and I snicker, knowing he is on his laptop and will be peering at the small screen to better see Bishop.
"Thank you Sir" Bishop responds accepting his welcome.
"Tell me what's happened. How is your girl?" dad asks and I shoot a glare at Jamison for gossiping.
We go over what had happened, all of it, with both Jamison and Bishop adding parts and finally letting him know she awake.
"Get back to her, we've covered everything in your diaries, your on leave until further notice" he tells us.
"Dad!" we both start to argue but he lifts his hand up to silence us "Unless you'd like to go to South Africa on your next rotation?" he offers and we stare at him.
"Hell no, we're not leaving her!" Angus growls out.
"Then enjoy. I can't wait to tell your mother the news, she will want to meet your girl, wedding plans and all that" he tells us and we sit there bemused.
"I think you broke them" Bishop laughs.
"Are you not planning to marry her?" Dad asks
Bishop growls at us "They better be!"
"Dad, of course we are but I don't want to scare her away, we've had one date, she got attacked and its all our fault, she's just woken up and is still in hospital. What do you want us to do, put a ring on her finger while she's unconscious?"
"It took your brother and his boys just two days to know Per was it, you've had two weeks, you're slacking" he teased.
"Dad!" we both shouted as he laughed at us.
"Seriously boys, I am pleased for you, now go take care of your girl and let me know if you need anything"
We said bye and Jamison ended the call, he and Bishop talking in the corner before Bishop comes back to us. "He's going to pack up your things and transfers them to Greystones, You'll want to be there when Maisie gets home and i've got to go back to work so it will be on you to make her rest"
"Shouldn't she invite us?" I query and he laughs at me.
"Mary and I discussed it on our way in, now you are on leave it makes more sense. Or I'd have to take her home with me and she would hate that"
Jamison came up behind us "Go boys, i'll check you out and get your stuff there by this evening, go back to your girl" he tells us and I grin, I love that term... our girl.
"Thanks" I tell him and he nods before walking away.
When we returned to the hospital Mary was sat knitting as Maisie slept, the machines all silent. Watching us enter she smiles, "The nurses have unhooked everything and she's been up on her feet, she just needs rest now to get well again"
"You've got two houseguests to help you keep her contained" Bishop tells her, dropping a kiss on the top of her head, making Mary blush at him.
"She won't be easy" she warns us, "She's an awful patient when she's ill"
"I am not" Maisie croaks softly and I rush forward to reach for the water, holding her as she takes a small sip. "Thank you" she blushes.
"You're staying?" she questioned looking between us. Angus came forward to my side.
"Yes we're staying, you're not getting rid of us" I tell her as Angus add "Ever" making her blush deepen.
