The girl looked angrily at the him. "What are you all doing? Why don't you get rid of this kind of person? He scared me. Do you know that?!"
The butler's expression changed, and he quickly blocked the girl behind him, staring seriously at Severin in front of him.
"Mr. Valorian, please leave now. Otherwise, I'll have to call others!"
But Severin seemed not to hear him. He crazily tried to grab the hand of the girl behind the butler.
"Aurora, it's me. Don't you really recognize me?"
Even before the girl had a chance to say anything, the butler spoke up,
"Sir, you've mistaken someone. She's not Aurora. She's the daughter of the First Lady, Fiona Nash."
The words struck Severin's mind like a sledgehammer, leaving him reeling with a throbbing pain, "You... what did you say?"
The butler looked at his unaware expression and sighed deeply.
"Fiona and Aurora are cousins. They're often mistaken for twins by others because they look so similar. As for the person you said you saw picking up Aurora's parents from the airport in France last time, that was also Miss Fiona. After you sent Aurora abroad, she was afraid that no one would take care of her parents, so she specially asked Fiona, who just happened to be in the country, to pick them up."
"Even if you're too grief-stricken over losing Aurora, you shouldn't mistake people like this."
With that, a sharp slap landed on Severin's face. Fiona was furious, pointing at his nose and cursing,
"Are you crazy? If you can't recognize people clearly, go to see a doctor. Don't harass me here!"
"Butler, what are you still standing there for? Quickly call someone to get him out of here!"
Suddenly, a group of bodyguards burst out, determined to drive Severin away. He struggled desperately, his eyes brimming with defiance.
"Aurora, Aurora!"
Fiona coldly watched as Severin was dragged farther and farther away by the bodyguards. Only then did she take out her phone and call Aurora.
After hearing that he had been kicked out, she thanked Fiona. "Thank you so much for today's trouble."
In a certain villa in Denmark, Severin looked at the documents in front of him, his face growing increasingly pale.
How could it be? How could he have mistaken someone?
Even though it was just a glimpse, Severin was sure that it was Aurora, not someone else.
But why had it turned into another woman in the blink of an eye?
Could it be that Aurora had really died in that plane crash, and everything now was just his illusion?
His eyes grew increasingly dim. Just then, the butler suddenly knocked on the door of his study. "Sir, someone expect to meet you."
Outside the door, Fiona said solemnly,
"Before my cousin passed away, she sent me a voice message with her last words. There are some things about you in it."
Fiona paused, her gaze lingering on Severin's expression as she hesitantly asked,
"Would you like to listen to it now?"
