The birthday party never reached a proper conclusion.
While I was standing my ground against Ulric, my parents finally arrived.
They were all polite, thanking the guests, and seeing everyone off.
Phyllis tried to play the victim card in front of my mother, but got shut down with one polite smile.
"I'm sorry, but we’ll handle our family business ourselves. Please leave now."
Phyllis froze, staring at Ulric with almost tearful eyes, before she turned and left.
Once only my brother and I remained, my father spoke with authority.
“Alright, now tell me what the hell is going on.”
Before Ulric could speak, I jumped in, playing the wronged girl.
"A new transfer student came to school recently. The very first day, she goes fucking crazy, splashing water all over herself and claimed I did it, accusing me of bullying her."
"Later I found out she's that scholarship student Ulric've been secretly supporting---Phyllis Collins."
Sitting on the sofa, Ulric suddenly jerked his head up to look at me, his eyes filled with shock.
Shocked, huh, brother?
I already figured the secret between you two out way earlier than you thought.
I pressed my reddened eyes, voice trembling.
"I wasn't even mad at her, Daddy. It's just my birthday, and I... I can even celebrate without the party."
“I’m just upset… why doesn’t my brother believe me?”
After all, Phyllis isn't the only one who can fake being a fucking angel.
With a little quiver in my voice, the conversation was settled with one word from Dad.
"Enough. I don't care who started bulling—No more arguing."
“If this gets out and becomes a scandal, it won’t be good for either of you.”
"This matter ends here."
Back at school, I began openly bullying Phyllis.
I poured ink into her drawer, laughed loud as hell when she tried to speak English with that god-awful accent.
Tearing her physics test into pieces and sprinkling them over her head.
“Go on. Keep filing complaints. That’s your fucking specialty, right?”
I smirked, watching the paper flutter down from her hair.
She glared at me, pure hatred burning in her eyes.
But in the end, there she was, trembling, crying as she apologized.
"I'm so sorry, Ivetta. If I've done anything to upset you, I apologize right now. I’ll fix it. I swear."
“You just being alive pisses me off.”
I raised an eyebrow, genuinely curious.
“How exactly are you gonna fix it? You gonna die now?”
