The walls around her were filled with photos of her and Sean from the past!
All those diaries, love letters, photos, gifts-the things she thought were long burned-everything that was tied to her had been carefully preserved.
Rachel’s heart trembled sharply. A complex wave of emotions surged over her, almost drowning her.
He hated her so much, so why did he still keep these memories?
She dared not think too much, nor did she dare make wild guesses.
She was afraid that he still had fantasies about her, but now, she could no longer bear his love.
"So what do you want me to do?" Rachel raised her head, her voice hoarse and exhausted.
Xena walked up to the photos, her fingers lightly tracing the yellowing pictures, a soft laugh escaping her lips.
"Rachel, even though you’ve done so many terrible things, Sean still loves you. But no woman is willing to have her fiancé’s heart still filled with someone else."
Her voice was light, as if she were talking about something trivial.
"So, can you make him completely give up on you?"
Rachel’s hands tightly clenched the edge of her clothes, her knuckles turning white. Her face was as pale as paper, and her hollow eyes stared at the photos on the wall.
After a long silence, she finally heard her own voice, as though it were coming from a distant place.
"Fine. Three days from now, you make him come home."
Three days later, a rainy night.
A black Maybach came to a steady stop in front of the villa. Sean held an umbrella as he stepped up the stairs and pushed open the door.
The villa was completely dark, so quiet that he could only hear his own heartbeat.
Since Rachel had deceived him, he no longer wanted to return to this house or see her face.
That face constantly reminded him of how ridiculous his past love had been.
But today, Xena suddenly asked him to come home, saying she had something to discuss with him.
Only then did Sean reluctantly return.
But the villa was empty.
He assumed Xena was asleep, so he started to walk upstairs.
At that moment, a faint gasp came from upstairs.
Sean’s footsteps came to an abrupt halt.
No one knew what that sound meant more than him.
He abruptly looked up, gazing at the source of the sound. Through the half-open door, he could faintly make out two figures tangled together.
As he got closer, the sounds of passion grew clearer.
"Ah... feels so good... more... harder..."
"Little temptress, so greedy..."
Each explicit phrase was like a slap, echoing in his ears, sharp and stinging.
He strode forward and kicked open the half-closed door!
The two people on the bed were startled, hastily separating. The man frantically jumped out of the window to flee.
Rachel quickly covered herself with the blanket, but the red kiss marks on her collarbone were still visible to Sean.
Sean squeezed his eyes shut, desperately trying to suppress the anger that was close to turning into sorrow.
When he spoke again, his voice was calm, as if the man who had nearly lost control just moments ago was not him.
"Why?"
Rachel, why... why did you do this?
Rachel shrank beneath the blanket, her fingers trembling so violently that she could barely grip the edge.
She forced a mocking smile and said softly, "What else could it be? You’re about to marry someone else, so naturally, I need to find my next long-term meal ticket as soon as possible."
"Bang!"
Something in her words triggered him. In a fit of rage, Sean smashed everything in the room.
Chairs, vases, photo frames… everything that could be thrown, he hurled violently onto the ground.
Rachel didn’t even have time to react before he grabbed her, dragging her out of the villa.
"Boom!"
A thunderous crash sounded, and heavy rain poured down.
Sean stood on the steps, coldly looking at the disheveled Rachel lying on the ground. His voice, cold and cutting, echoed through the rain.
"Rachel, get out of my world. Don’t ever let me see you again!"
His words were like a knife, plunging deep into her heart.
Rachel felt her heart fall from a great height, shattering into a thousand pieces, unable to be pieced back together.
"Bang!"
The villa door slammed shut, cutting off the sight of Sean’s heartless face.
She would never see him again.
Rachel closed her eyes in despair and let herself sob uncontrollably.
After a long time, she numbly stood up and walked toward the outside of the villa.
It wasn’t until the sharp ring of a phone broke her thoughts that she snapped back to reality.
"Miss Spencer, the euthanasia you scheduled will be performed three days from now. Please make your preparations."
Rachel opened her mouth, and after a long silence, she finally managed to squeeze out a single word.
"Okay."
In three days, there would be no more Rachel in this world.
