After the proposal at the performance venue, Rachel and Sean quickly threw themselves into wedding preparations.
Rachel had a long break after her first tour, and after the couple started preparing for the wedding, this break was extended to six months.
With both families involved in organizing the wedding, the couple, who found themselves with nothing to do, spent their days driving around the entire H City.
The osmanthus cakes from the alley in the northern part of the city still carried the flavor of her memories, though now, to maintain her figure, Rachel let Sean eat most of them.
The evening sea breeze was especially cool, and the fireworks blooming in the sky were beautiful. But the most beautiful sight was the image of Rachel reflected in Sean’s eyes.
Finally, the two walked hand in hand to West Hill High School.
Under the setting sun, their shadows intertwined tightly.
The honor roll still displayed a photo of them holding their prize from back then.
Rachel stared at the photo for a long time, sighing, "I can’t believe it’s been so many years, and this photo is still up here."
As she pulled Sean’s hand and walked toward the nearby photo wall, she noticed it was filled with so many pictures that she searched for a while before finding their graduation photo.
"Speaking of which, if you hadn’t been moved to a higher grade back then, we might have had a graduation photo together."
After taking the college entrance exam, Sean had rushed off to the U.S. without even taking the graduation photo.
Sean lovingly watched Rachel, who looked regretful, and smiled, "But it doesn’t matter. It’s never too late to take one now."
"What?"
Before Rachel could react, Sean’s kiss landed on her cheek.
Click.
Sean’s loving gaze and Rachel’s surprised expression were captured by the camera in that instant.
Time flew by, and soon the day of their wedding arrived.
Although the day before the wedding, Sean had called to chat with Rachel and help her relax, she still didn’t sleep well the whole night, too nervous to rest.
The makeup artist, pressing the puff onto Rachel’s face, shared funny wedding stories to help her relax.
"When I married my husband, I was so nervous too, but when I walked into the wedding hall and saw my husband, I suddenly wasn’t nervous anymore."
"Because my husband was even more nervous than I was."
Perhaps recalling her own wedding, the makeup artist suddenly burst out laughing.
"My husband was so nervous that he put his clothes on inside out. If I hadn’t secretly reminded him, he probably would’ve worn them like that throughout the entire wedding."
Rachel laughed along, but her mind couldn’t help but drift to Sean.
Would he be nervous at the wedding?
In all these years, he didn’t seem to have been nervous at all.
The only time he had been nervous was when he put the engagement ring on her finger. His hand shook several times before he was able to get it on her finger.
As she thought about it, she began to look forward to how Sean would look at the wedding.
Soon, the wedding began.
Under the gazes of the guests, Rachel, in a pure white wedding dress, slowly walked toward Sean, holding her father’s hand.
The moment her father placed her hand into Sean’s, she could clearly feel the sweat trickling from his palm.
Pfft.
She couldn’t help but let out a light laugh, for from the moment she entered, Sean had appeared very composed.
Who would have thought that the man who seemed so calm on the outside would be so nervous on the inside?
Sean shot Rachel a stern glance, but it had no effect at all.
Soon, it was time for the vows.
Rachel quickly wiped away her mischievous smile and exchanged a sweet, loving gaze with Sean.
When the officiant asked if they were willing to become husband and wife, they both answered clearly at the same time.
"I do."
"I do."
When the officiant declared them husband and wife and they kissed, they embraced each other in a deep kiss.
In that moment, their tears mingled and fell together.
"Mr. Harris, please take care of me for the rest of my life."
"Mrs. Harris, please take care of me for the rest of my life."
