Dear one ||Taekook|| - Chapter 17: Chapter 17

Taehyung was in some kind of daze....after years of waiting he finally met his Amour and....
Every single thing that he talked to him years before came back to his mind...the way he had waited for his calls..the way his Amour slowly became his safe place...his mind skipped to the first time he met Jungkook..those eyes were the sole reason for them to even talk....How could he not recognize those eyes which intrigued him every time he looked at the torn pic that he sneaked into his pocket years ago..how could he not recognize the voice which had kept him wrapped in its warmth... His amour was with him all this while.. covering him with love and here he was.. having no idea about anything....
He raised his eyes looking at his hyungs...he knew it's one of them who did this to Jungkook...he looked at Namjoon who was breaking down in the arms of Jimin who was no better...Why is Jimin so affected because of this..he was never close to Jungkook.... He then looked at Hobi who was running around completing all the formalities...he surely looked scared and sad..but he is holding himself up..he and Jimin met Jungkook through me..then why are their reactions so different... Taehyung looked back at Jin who was simply standing next to him...the Jin he knew would have been bawling his eyes out but here he is standing in a corner not even shedding a single tear....but then again he does look a bit shaken up...Taehyung was still staring at Jin when he heard someone calling Jimin... He turned around and saw his Namjoon hyung running into the arms of someone who was quick to pull Namjoon into his embrace
' Yoongi hyung?' Taehyung stood up shocked...he saw the way Yoongi pulled back from Namjoon as he walked towards him
' Tae' Yoongi whispered before hugging him' I have missed you kid'
' Hyung' Taehyung called ' Jungkook is my Amour'
Yoongi frowned as he took a step back
' I...I saw him getting shot...just..just like Yoon...' The first tear fell from Taehyung's almond eyes ' He...he will leave me like her...hy-hyung Kook..he'
' No Tae' Jin took a step forward but stilled when he saw Taehyung flinching... ' You all did it...you all hurt my Yoon and Kook...you'
' Taehyung ah'
' Don't' Taehyung said stepping away as he saw hurt flash through Jimin's eyes ' M-my Jungkook'
' Tae relax please' Yoongi tried to calm him down and just then the doctor walked out
' How is he?' Namjoon was in front of him in an instant
' Mr Kim... there is nothing to worry about... Either the shooter was not a professional or he didn't mean to kill Mr Jeon... whatever it is the bullet just pierced in through his shoulder and thankfully it was just a single wound or else it would have been very risky...also he fainted due to blood lose and immense pain ... Nothing to worry about anyway... He will be up in some time...just provide complete rest atleast for two months.. '
' Can I meet him?' Taehyung asked
' Yeah..after we shift him to another room..you can meet him' The doctor bowed before walking away
' Am just glad he is fine' Jin said looking at Yoongi who nodded eagerly as he hugged Jin
Taehyung had his eyes fixed on the two who looked as if they were back to being the college sweet hearts they once used to be
Have the met before today? They seem too casual for someone meeting years later...
Taehyung's thoughts broke when he heard a voice behind him
' Jinnie I had filled the form- oh..Yoongi?' Hobi looked at them awkwardly... can't blame him... seeing your husband in the arms of his ex lover was not something you would love to see...
' Hey Hoseok shi' Yoongi bowed
Jin sensed the tension between them as he quickly walked towards his husband.. hugging him..'Hoba Jungkook is all right..we can meet him after they shift him to another room'
' Oh.. That's a great news.. Thankgod...even though am not that close to him personally..but he is our Yoona and Yoongi's brother right...so I was worried' Hobi smiled hugging back Jin...
' Jin hyung... We need to talk' Taehyung said walking away as Jin hesitantly followed him
' Yoongi' Hobi smiled ' It's nice meeting you after these many years'
' Yes Hoseok...even I feel great meeting you' Yoongi smiled lightly
' You all knew?' Taehyung asked as soon as they reached a secluded corner
' Tae-'
' Yet you selected him as my bodyguard and then hid the truth from me? Why hyung?'
' Tae... Jungkook wanted me to hide his identity' Jin said almost immediately
' What do you mean?'
' On the day of the interview......'
FLASH BACK
' Heyy Jinnie... already feeling done?' Hobi asked laughing as he walked into the cabin where Jin and Namjoon were sitting
' Oh please...I didn't know this was such a hectic job' Jin sighed ' Am way too tired'
' Should I leave Hoba?' Namjoon asked wiggling his brows when he saw Hobi staring at Jin..
'Shut up... anyway its just one more to go'Hobi shrugged
' Just one more?' Namjoon asked
' Yeah... and he does look suitable for the job..' Hobi smiled ' Anyway guys I'll be with Jimin...you people carry on...and oh...that guy really do look perfect for the job'
Jin and Namjoon saw Hobi leaving as another man walked in..his head held low as he came in with his files
' Good morning' He bowed before standing straight only to have all of them still at their places
' Jungkook' Namjoon was off his chair and in the younger's arms in an instant.... ' Where were you?'
' Hyung' Jungkook whispered..his hands curling at his sides as he took in a deep breath
' Kook?' Namjoon pulled back...his wide smile faltering when he felt the stiff form of the younger
' Am here for an interview Mr Kim' Jungkook hissed at his own cold tone
' Oh...' Namjoon stood their awkwardly as Jungkook walked past him...
Jin was still staring at the younger who extended his files.
' Why do you want this job? Or preferably why do you want to be Taehyung's bodyguard' Was the first question that left Jin's mouth...
' I.. honestly didn't know that this company belonged to you all.....and am in need of a job very urgently'Jungkook explained
' You don't know that Vante belongs to Tae? The fuck were you all these years..its a well known fact that this is the Kim Taehyung's company...Come on Kook..he even named his brand under your name...his most famous brand.. Amour-' Namjoon shut his mouth when he earned a glare from Jin
' Yes Mr Jeon....so what urgency?' Jin asked tilting his head
' It's personal' Jungkook muttered
' If you need a job you need to tell me..no company is gonna accept anyone who was disqualified by Vante Fashions' Jin saw the younger gritting his teeth
' My...my hyung is sick'
' Yoongi?'Namjoon blurted out but nevertheless the younger nodded
' His heart is failing and I need money for the transplant'
' Wait outside...we will go through your CV and then will call you' Jin said to which the younger nodded walking out
' What was that hyung?' Namjoon looked bewildered 'Why did you talk to him like that...he is our brother'
' Was' Jin cut him off ' Anyway he is selected...he needs the job'
' Or rather Yoongi need the money?' Namjoon scoffed as Jin's eyes darkened ' Jungkook was your brother... but he still is mine... And still soo soft for Yoongi... I thought you hated him.. Was the a personal decision or was it really related to the company huh?'
' Don't forget that I run the company and it's me who takes decisions here Namjoon'
' Oh please... I never was interested in this shitty company in the first place'
' That's good for you' Jin stood up 'I'll take him to Tae'
He walked out as Namjoon stood there staring at his retreating back
I can't let him go this time
Jin walked out and saw the younger waiting outside... He sighed as he walked towards him ' Kook'
Jungkook looked at him with his wide doe eyes that melted away all of Jin's pent up anger...
' You can join from the next day... I'll take you to Tae now'
' Hy-Mr Kim' Jungkook called making Jun frown ' I don't want Tae to know that am Jungkook...nor that you all know me... Don't reveal my surname to him...'
' Why is that?'
' I'll tell you...but please.. just tell him my name as something else...or just anything like JK or something'
Jin stared at the boy for sometime before nodding his head
BACK TO PRESENT
' It was Jungkook who wanted me to hide his true identity in front of you and.... it's not my place to tell you why' Jin leaned back onto the wall
' You hated him?' Taehyung asked
' What?No...why would I ? I was just angry at him for going MIA for all these years..and that's why I behaved like that'
' So is it because of Jungkook that none of his biometrics match any data in the system..is it because of this that his informations were locked off?' Taehyung questioned
' His informations are locked off? What are you even saying Taehyung?' Jin asked as Taehyung's serious facade broke
' What?'
' I just didn't reveal him name as Jungkook and instead told you to call him JK.. that's all I know...why the hell would I lock his details?' Jin exclaimed
Taehyung felt his gut churn..why did I had to ask that...If it's not Jin hyung then who locked his profile... Jimin won't lie to me right? What if it was locked by Jungkook himself...did I just expose him in front of hyung? Is it Jin hyung who is behind all these?
' Taehyung' Jin shook him ' What are you thinking?'
' Who all knew about Jungkook?'
' Just me and Joon...and Some days before only Jimin and Hobi got to know...you know on the day you thought he left you'Jin said
Jimin also knew then only? Then why is is behaving like Jungkook was someone close to him... oh god what is even happening

' Please just wake up hyung... I have waited too long already' Taehyung mumbled as tears slipped past his closed eyes.... He was sitting beside Jungkook's hospital bed with his head on his chest...
Taehyung was still mumbling something when he felt a  hand caressing his cheeks...which made him lean into the warmth unconsciously...
' You don't have to wait anymore'
Taehyung shoot up the second he heard the voice he had been craving to listen to..
' Jungkook' Taehyung called out as he leaned forward cupping the elder's cheeks ' Oh my god.. am...so happy..I was so scared...y-you..you just called and...then the b-blood..and'
' Tae... Tae relax' Jungkook smiled softly as he held the younger's hands... 'Am fine my fluffy'
Taehyung totally lost it when he heard the name
' Where were you?' He cried ' I waited for you for six years hyung... I waited for you in the freezing cold every newyear..... You knew I was craving to see you and you just kept me waiting... I... You were with me all this while... protecting me... loving me...and here I am not even realizing that it's my Amour who is standing in front of me....am.. am so sorry hyung'
' You don't have to apologize Tae....it was my decision to not let you know of my real identity...and am sorry for keeping you waiting...I..I never thought that you will want to see me'
' Why would I not want to see you? Six years before...on..that night I was on cloud nine..not because I was proposing to Yoon but because I was going to meet you....' Taehyung stilled...his eyes widening when he suddenly remembered something
Jungkook frowned when he saw the fresh set of tears leaving the younger's almond orbs... ' Tae?'
' Am sorry' Taehyung had his face hid behind his palms
' Wh-'
' Am sorry for break my promise hyung...Am s-sorry for not protecting your sister...' Taehyung cried...his heart aching even by the memory of that day...he knew how much Jungkook loved his sister...and because of him he lost her
Jungkook blinked off his tears as he extended his arms trying to pry off Taehyung's hand from his face
' Look at me petal' He said softly
' Am sorry'Taehyung said again..
' Don't apologize for something you didn't do Tae... I know how broken you were...I..I have seen it myself'
Taehyung whipped his head towards the elder ' You saw?'
' I..was the first one to see you..and Yoon..you were unconscious a-and my..my Princess was al-already gone' Tears littered his cheeks at the horrible memory
Taehyung felt his insides break for the millionth time as he threw himself into Jungkook's arms..both of them crying...all the pent up anger..hurt and fear overflew as they held each other closely
' Please don't leave me again hyung' Taehyung mumbled into his neck ' Always come back to me'
' If it's not to you...where else will I go' Jungkook smiled as he planted a peck on the younger's head

' Joon have something' Yoongi said sitting beside Namjoon in the hospital cafeteria
' I don't wanna' He mumbled
' Look here Joonie... We all know how important Jungkook is to you....but you should also know how much you matter to him...do you think he will be happy to see you like this?' Hobi asked softly caressing his hand
' I.. failed again Hoba...I couldn't save his whole family and now h-'
' Nothing happened to him...do you understand?' Yoongi spoke up ' And about our family...we will find the one who did this...he won't be spared'
Jin and Jimin snapped there head towards Yoongi as soon they heard that...
Hobi saw the way Jin was staring at Yoongi all this while... He frowned when many unwanted thoughts started clouding his mind Don't think much Hoba...Jin might just be shocked with whatever happened..and seeing Yoongi all of a sudden must have pulled a string..but it's nothing more... Don't think much okk...he is yours and you know that
' I'll go see them both and come' Jin said as he stood up.. slowly walking away
' I'll be outside' Yoongi left them... without even waiting for a reply
' I think you should go with Jin hyung...' Jimin blurted out earning a questioning glance from Hobi 'He is hurt..he might also need someone with him right'
' Yeah...' Hobi smiled lightly as he stood 'Cheer up Namjoon ah..your Jungkookiee is fine okk? I'll be with Jin.. Jimin ah feed him something ok?'
' Yeah' Jimin nodded as Hobi went in search of Jin
He turned around the corner towards Jungkook's room when he saw something making him go stiff...he could hear his heart beating wildly in his chest when he saw how protectively Yoongi had wrapped his arms around his husband... Hobi didn't know what to think...he was trying his best not to let any ugly thoughts creep up his mind..but seeing them in each other's arms was not helping at all
He immediately stepped back...and peeked out from behind the wall... His eyes widening when Yoongi caressed Jin's cheeks lovingly.. wiping off his tears.. Hobi saw them talking but the distance was too big to make it audible... The last thread holding his heart together broke when he saw Jin leaning in connecting his lips with Yoongi's..as Yoongi pulled him closer by his waist... Hobi had his heart break into a billion pieces just by seeing it...he felt his eyes stinging...he wanted to cry and yell at them...he wanted to beat the shit out of Yoongi..he wanted to ask Jin what did he lack in him for this betrayal... he just wanted to kill Yoongi at this moment and claim his love back..but all he did was run away before he does something that they all will regret...

' No one will know anything..now go to them before it gets suspicious' Yoongi said pulling back...
' You should also come Yoongi... Tae might want to see you'
Yoongi thought for a while before nodding as they both walked in..

Tae was sitting beside Jungkook holding on to his hand as if his life depended on it... He was honestly freaking out...he knows that its the same person who tried to kill him years back who has now attacked Jungkook..he don't know why but his mind is screaming at him that its the same person.... But he can't wrap his head around the fact that... even though he knew that one of his hyungs are involved inthis..they all were present beside him when Jungkook was shot...
Jungkook saw the way the younger was frowning ' Fluffy'
Taehyung instantly looked at Jungkook..his heart still skips a beat while hearing that nickname
' Yes Hyung'  Taehyung asked but Jungkook just chuckles ' What?'
' In this short span of time I got so used to your badass side and your sharp tongue that now seeing you calling me hyung feels different...I don't know what even am saying'
' What now?' Taehyung crossed his arms over his chest 'Should I drop this and become all hard on you my Marshmellow?'
' Now don't be in any kind misunderstanding petal...cz it would be me who will be going hard on you while you beg for it' Jungkook's voice deepened sending shivers down the younger's spine
' Shut up' He smacked the elder's hand.. trying desperately to hide his blush ' You are in a hospital for fucks sake'
Jungkook laughed seeing the glaring male who looked adorable
' Hey Tae...now tell me...what were you thinking?'
' Nothing'
' There was a time when you used to tell me even the tiniest of things and now look at you' Jungkook huffed
' You are pouting?' Taehyung looked at him wide eyed before bursting out into loud laughs
Jungkook just stared at the boy with heart eyes...his giggles were always his favorite melody in the whole world...and it will always be his favorite
' Why are you looking at me like this?' Taehyung mumbled as he played with the elder's fingers
' Like what?'
' I don't know....I missed you...' Taehyung bit his lower lip
' You missed whom? Your Amour or me'' Jungkook tilted his head
' To be honest...' Taehyung had a small smile ' I did miss my amour all these years... I wanted to see him all this while..he had become an important part of me...and I knew that he was becoming more and more special and was becoming the only one in my heart... Evertime I talked over the phone or even waited for the calls...a part of me always felt guilty... I now know why...but back then... I was soo dumb that I played with two people's emotions which finally resulted in killing a whole family....'

' Let me talk Jungkook' Taehyung sighed ' I had seen Yoona's longing eyes looking at me...back then I didn't know what those emotions in her eyes were...but over these six years whenever I had looked at myself in the mirror...I have seen those same emotions in mine too....and thats when I knew what those were... that's when I knew that even though she knew what my heart wanted...a part of her still hoped that I'll be back to her completely.... When she said I was her dear one and when you told me what it means..I was happy...way too happy that I was her dear one...but when I think of it...she never was mine...' Taehyung held his head low as he continued
' I know....that I should be ashamed of telling you all this...after all she w-was your sister... But today when I heard you tell me that I am your dear one... I felt something I have never felt.... Am not comparing you both..hell...you both can't be ever compared to anyone...but when Yoona called me her dear one I got a reason to be happy...but when you called me your dear one.... I got a reason to live... I don't know what I feel for you...since you are the one I have been waiting for years and then again you are then one who is the reason for the tiny bit of humanity left in me ..yet I don't know what it is that I feel for you... I do like you...a lot... But I don't know if this is what's known as love... if this is love..then I don't want to know anything about this.. because knowing further will just be like belittling whatever I had with Yoon for which am not ready.... Whatever it was...I still strongly believe that we were each other's first love... She was my first love and her last words to me was I love you and those three words mean a lot to me and I...I don't think I am ready to hear that from someone else yet...'
Jungkook felt his heart squeezing...he tried swallowing the lump in his throat which was now suffocating him
But Taehyung never noticed this as he kept on going
' But when that doesn't mean I don't want you in my life... I will be sounding like some pathetic shit who is just desperate...but I don't care anymore.... I have had my fair share of pain and I want to live a normal life again.... Yoon will always be in my heart....no one can take that place..but...but I don't think I can live without you hyung...I don't care if you are my Amour or if you are my Angel...I just want to be with you for the rest of my life....Again this will just be like using you...I don't know...but I need you in my life...call me selfish but I want you to care for me... look after me..like me..and maybe love me...yet I can't bring myself to hear those three words from you...nor anyone... Today when I saw you going unconscious in Joon hyung's arms I felt my world crumpling down... I felt like dying...and that's when I realized what you mean to me hyung...  You might be irritated by my rambling by now but...Hyu-'

Jungkook's broken voice was enough to make the younger stop talking and look directly at him....
Taehyung looked at Jungkook's arm that was now making its way towards his own..interwining their fingers
' You will never become irritating to me...your voice was the only thing holding me up in that army camp Tae... You have no idea how much I have craved to hear you voice all these years... I won't force you for anything Taehyung.... I fell for you when I was in highschool..a time when you had no idea about my existence...and I am still Falling for you...as we used say " I did fall head over heels for you'"Jungkook chuckled 'But Tae that doesn't mean you also have to return those feelings and confess to me saying those three words after hearing to which your world was turned upside down... No...but Tae...for me it was always you..and it will always be you..there never was..nor never will be someone else..and you won't be loosing me... I have lov-admired you in your best and your worst..in your presence and in your absence...in the past and in the present... and will continue doing that in the future too...so till you sort out your feeling...or even if you don't...till my last breath my feelings are enough for us to live....or atleast till you find your dear one'
Taehyung couldn't take anymore as he leaned down immediately closing the gap between them taking Jungkook by surprise..who without any delay kissed back.... both of them were contented as they deepened the kiss... which was wordlessly conveying all the silenced emotions in their heart for each other
'Tae-oh.. I'll go' Jin said smirking seeing the both..who now were staring wide eyed at him...
' Can't you knock?' Jungkook scoffed as he held Taehyung's arms
' This is not your fucking hospital' Jin spat as he walked in ' I was just here to check if my brother is fine or not' Jin said walking in with a silent Yoongi
' Am fine hyung' Taehyung said slowly..not knowing why his brother was checking on him but all his confusions were cleared when he saw Jin not even sparing a glance at him and walked towards Jungkook hugging him
Jungkook, by this time , was a laughing mess by seeing Taehyung's bewildered look
'Shut up idiot' Taehyung smacked his hand as he continued to laugh....
Jungkook's laughs died down when he saw the scared look in Taehyung's eyes as he looked at Jin...he knew exactly what the younger was thinking off... but he can't let Taehyung react now..so in a hope to make the  younger understand not to open his mouth about anything he slowly squeezed his hand which made Tae look at him and luckily he understood what Jungkook meant
'Am just glad you are alive Jungkook' Jin said pulling back from the hug..but Taehyung felt something off just by hearing it...he was about to say something when
' I told you to drop this all kid' Yoongi's stern voice came through
' Hyung' Jungkook was honestly scared...he had promised his brother that he won't get hurt and here he is lying on a freaking hospital bed with a bullet wound ' I...'
' I did tell you to stop kil-'
' Hyung' Jungkook cut his off..this time his voice cold as ice ' This is not the time'
Taehyung felt his insides churning... everything was just getting more and more twisted and he almost felt like his head will just blast because of all of this....but then suddenly something clicked with in him
' Jungkook' He stood up immediately making everyone one frown
'What happened Tae?'
' You told you needed this job to treat your sick brother...' Tae started and they all knew where this was going ' That means Yoongi hyung is....'
' Dying' Yoongi shrugged casually as if its nothing
' Can you just stop using that word?' Jungkook spat..his eyes pricking
' Its the Truth Jungkook.. better accept it' Yoongi said glaring back
' Its not the truth Yoongi' Jin spoke ' Nothing will happen to you..not till am alive... I am not letting you leave me again'
Jungkook saw Taehyung's eyes going wide listening to his own brother
' I'll buy your medicines and come' Jin said walking out without even sparing any of them a glance
' I'll come' Yoongi mumbled before rushing out
' I know' Jungkook voiced out making Taehyung look at him ' I know that there are a lot of things that you want to ask..but not now... I'll tell you everything...but just not now'
Taehyung smiled as he pecked his forhead ' I trust you'
Jungkook was more than thankful for having such a pure soul in his life...
' Now you go and have something... I know you are hungry'
' No am-'
' Tae'
' I don't want to leave you alone' Taehyung nibbled on his lower lip
' Then send one of your hyungs'
' I don't trust any'
Jungkook was taken aback by the answer...even though he had seen it coming....
' Go and have food Tae... I'll be fine by my own'
' Jungkook...just tell me the name of any one of them whom I can trust you with..... Or else am not going...'
' Why are you so stubborn' Jungkook huffed
' Tell me '
' Taehyung... enough..' Jungkook's voice came out rough... ' Go and have something..your hyungs must be there...'
Taehyung was hurt... not because Jungkook scolded him... because he knows how protective he is of him..but because he felt like Jungkook don't trust him and that's why he was not telling him anything
He slowly stood up walking away and was about to open the door when
' And fluffy....send Jimin here...'
