Third person's pov
Bella missed Chris.
It had been a week since everything happened. Bella didn't even get out of her house for the time being. After spending time with herself she realised that the reason for the uneasy feeling she was feeling was because she made Chris sad.
The scene where Chris was looking at her with hurt filled eyes when she stopped him to touch her was replaying in her mind more than the torture scene.
She thought of calling Chris a lot of time but she was guilty to face him again.
She was munching on her avocado sandwich when she heard a faint knock. She swiftly opened the door and was instantly met with those pair of mesmerising eyes.
And Bella forgot all her stress, fatigue she had, as if this was the potion to the poison spread in her body. Cure to her sadness.
She threw herself on Chris and he didn't waste a moment before embracing his love. Bella nuzzled in the ravennete’s neck inhaling his vanilla scent.
Chris patted Bella's back, he was relieved that Bella didn't hate him.
“I missed you. I fucking missed you darling.” Chris uttered.
“I missed you too, Chris.” Bella whispered, withdrawing from the hug.
“Really? I thought…”
“You thought?”
“I thought you hated me.” Chris whispered. Bella snorts, “how many times I have to tell you that I DON'T HATE YOU!”
Chris chuckled, which was music to Bella's ears.
“I guess I had a reality check.” Bella whispered.
“How?”
“I pretended to be okay with you being involved in the mafia but when I saw that ruthless side of you… I was scared.”
Chris's shoulder tensed on Bella's confession.
“But now I have really made peace with it. Maybe I'll take more time but I accept you with your darkness.” Bella uttered sincerely.
“You don't have to accept my darkness, I will get rid of it soon, darling.”
Chris nodded, and Bella bit her lip. She didn't notice that Chris was wearing casual clothes. She always saw Chris dressed up in suits or shirts. She never expected him to go out wearing a loose t-shirt revealing his collar bones and trousers. His hair was messy unlike combed and waxed like it used to be.
His veiny tattooed hands were full on display, he didn't even wear a watch today.
Bella couldn't stop drooling at the man standing in front of her, he looked normal, otherwise he had an intimidating aura around him.
“I am here to fulfil your wish darling, only if you want.” Chris grinned.
“What?” Bella asked confusingly.
“You wanted us to go on a date again and you wanted to prepare me for it.”
Bella smiled giddily as soon as she realised what Chris meant. She wrapped her arms around Chris's nape.
“You remember it?” Bella asked, smiling.
Chris nodded, “I remember everything about you.” He wrapped his arms around Bella's waist.
“Why didn't you reach me all these days?” Bella pouted, Chris leaned in and pecked her pout, Bella turned away blushing scarlet. Chris chuckled.
“I knew you needed some time, so I worked overtime to clear my schedule today to spend the day with you.” Chris whispered and pecked Bella's forehead.
“Wow, you are so nice!!” Bella chirped.
“Only for you, darling.” Chris caressed Bella's blonde hair.
“I'll make coffee for you. Come in.” Bella said, taking a step back and closing the door behind Chris.
She walked into the kitchen and prepared the black coffee, smiling foolishly by herself. Chris never fails to make her heart flutter. Only Chris made her smile this foolishly.
“Here.” Bella placed the coffee on the table. Chris took it and had a sip. He hummed and closed his eyes with satisfaction.
“How do you manage to make the coffee tastier day by day? Like when I think this can't be more delicious but you prove me wrong and make it more delicious each and every time.” Bella chuckled giddily.
“I'll go and get ready, then we'll go shopping and get you clothes to make you my-type.” Bella uttered.
“Am I not your type right now?” Chris asked, raising his eyebrows with his signature smirk.
“No.” Bella uttered.
“So what is your type, darling?” Chris asked keeping the half cup of coffee on the table.
“I am into soft boys and you were a jerk when we first met. But you were my type when we were kids. That kid was cute.”
“Oh baby girl, I don't think you are into soft boys.” Chris stood up and and walked towards Bella and she took step backwards until her back met the wall and Chris pinned her against the wall and leaned in, “I think you are into a man who could burn the world down for you instead
a so-called-soft-boy who will try to hide you to protect you…I also think you like a man who would make you scream his name until you pass out instead of a fragile boy who would pass out in minutes.”
He bit Bella's earlobe sensually, Bella's heart threatened to come out of her chest due to beating so rapidly. Chris took a step back, “And I ace in both criteria.” He winked, and Bella exhaled all the breath she was holding in.
Her face turned scarlet, Chris was right but wrong at the same time. Bella indeed liked soft boys before Chris came into her life. Now her type was Chris… only… him.
But the screaming-name-thing that Chris uttered made Bella's mind full of dirty things. She couldn't help but imagine Chris hovering her, naked.
She quickly shove away the thoughts shaking her head and looked into Chris's eyes,
“Baby girl, were you imagining things? Maybe fantasising about us?” Chris asked leaning again, his breath fanned over Bella's face.
Bella gulped visibly before shaking her head.
“I'll go and change.” Bella tried to get out of Chris's strong arms.
“Want help?” Chris asked, making Bella's face a deeper shade of red.
“Shut up!” Chris chuckled and backed off. Bella sprinted towards her room, fanning herself.
Bella opened her closet to find a cute outfit for her beach date.
She ruffled her clothes and picked a white dress with black dots on it.
She wore it and left her blonde hair open. She put on little makeup as she didn't like heavy makeup. A light pink lip gloss, a tint of blush, a winged eyeliner and her makeup is done.
She looked at herself in the mirror, spinning dramatically and clapped her hands. She looked pretty. Then she took a small bag hanging on her shoulders and walked out of the room.
Chris was scrolling something in his phone, but as soon Bella came out of the room his attention diverted to Bella. He sucked in a breath.
He eyed her up to down from her silky open blond hair, then her brown doe eyes where Chris saw the world followed to her long nose, and then her plump heart shaped lips which tasted sweeter than any sweet Chris ever tasted. Then her exposed collarbones and her long hands because the dress was sleeveless. Then her narrow waist, the belt on the dress embraced her curve perfectly. Then her long legs.
“Stop ogling me, Chris!” Bella whined.
“It's hard, when you show up as a five-course-meal in front of me ready to be devoured.” Bella blushed scarlet again.
“Stop!” Chris chuckled and got up from the couch.
“Shall we go?” Bella nodded excitingly.
“You have to wear this!” Bella glared.
“No!” Chris whined.
“You have to!”
“No!!”
“Fine, I am leaving.”
“Fine!”
And after a moment Chris walked out of the dressing room leaving Bella awestruck.
Bella made Chris wear a black shirt tucked inside a beige pants. Chris really looked like a college boy.
Bella gently ruffled his hair making them messy.
Chris rolled his eyes.
“Beach is only ten minutes away from here. Let's walk.” Bella said excitedly.
“Why walk when we have a car?” Chris asked.
“Because walking in streets holding hands is romantic.” Bella uttered, smiling.
“What romance is there when we are walking on streets with dirt and pollution?” Chris snapped and Bella rolled her eyes.
“Do what I say!”
“Fine.”
Bella intertwined her fingers with Chris's long bony ones as they walked in the streets.
Chris stared to their hands, his heart filled with warmth and happiness. He never even dreamt of walking beside Bella after what he've done.
“Wow!” Bella dragged Chris to the side of the street still holding hands.
There were a lot of bracelets, earrings and necklaces made of pearls, beads and fake diamonds.
Bella's face glowed by looking at them.
“You know I always wanted to do street shopping but I was not allowed to roam freely in the streets. Even if I managed to buy it, my mom would throw it away because it was cheap and all.”
Chris listened attentively. Whenever they spent time together, Bella noticed that Chris was an excellent listener; he listened to everything even when Bella talked nonsense.
The best thing Bella found out was that Chris always stared at her as if she was the only light in the dark for Chris. And she loved it.
“These two.” Bella bought two bracelets and paid the woman selling it.
“This one's for you and this one's mine.” Bella grabbed Chris's wrist gently and made him wear the black beaded bracelet. And wore a white beaded one herself.
She brought both of their wrists together and smiled.
“Couple bracelets, huh?” Chris asked.
“It.. just looks good. That's why.” Bella whispered, looking away trying to hide her red face again.
Chris nodded and intertwined their fingers again.
He again stared at their hands, the bracelets represent them. Chris's black one represents darkness, evilness, hell and Bella's white one represents light, purity, angel, heaven.
An angel sent for a devil like him.
But he would never let his darkness ruin her… he would never ruin her or taint her purity. Bella deserved the world and Chris was willing to fight with anyone for her.
He was willing to die and to kill for her.
After some minutes they reached the beach.
The serene beach stretches along the coastline, its soft, golden sands warmed by the sun. The gentle sound of waves rolling onto the shore fills the air, creating a peaceful ambiance. The water was a mesmerising shade of turquoise, gradually deepening to a rich blue as it met the horizon.
Palm trees swayed gently in the light breeze, their leaves rustling softly. Scattered seashells and small pieces of driftwood add a touch of natural beauty to the shoreline. The sky above looked clear, with only a few wispy clouds, and the sun casted a warm, golden glow over the entire scene.
They played on the beach for hours and then they both layed on the sand staring at the sky. Bella stared at Chris. He was staring at the sky. Chris glowed in the hues of sunset. They seemed like a normal couple, a normal day without fearing anything without enemies.
Bella thought her dream of living a normal Life was impossible but being with Chris is worth it.
Chris turned his head towards Bella and their eyes met, as if it was the first time they met. Their eye contact always left both of them breathless regardless of the fact that they knew each other before they even knew the basic-human-feelings. They fell in love with each other when they didn't even know what love meant.
“I love you, Chris.” Bella whispered.
Chris blinked once then twice then thrice trying to process what he just heard. He got up and sat on the warm sand.
“What?” Bella sat up too.
“I said I love you.” Bella smiled.
This was not the right time to confess, you are making things hard Bella.
“Are you joking? Bella, please don't joke about such things.” Chris said seriously.
“Chris” Bella said gently, making Chris turn towards her, “I really love you. I didn't know when I started feeling like that but I love you...I really really do. I realised it back when you were in coma, I even confessed but I wanted to confess now again, I couldn't hold back anymore.”
Bella felt weight lifted off her chest as she confessed. She cupped Chris's face bringing him forward as their foreheads met.
“Chris I didn't realise when my heart didn't belong to me anymore, when it started beating by your name, when my mind chanted your name like a mantra, when my each and every happy moments were with you by my side and my sad moments without you. I am incomplete without you Chris.” Bella tried to hold back her tears.
Chris pulled her into his lap and hugged her.
“Is it a dream Bella? How could I be loved by someone so pure like you.” Chriss voice broke.
“Don't say that Chris. You are the strongest person I have ever met. You came a long way.” Bella whispered intertwining her hands in the raven locks as he hugged her.
They both stayed like that for a while. In the sunset, the only sound was the salty water moving back and forth from the sand to the ocean as if they were just coming to the sand to hear the most beautiful love confession and moving back to gossip with the ocean.
The sky was covered with hues of orange and pink, as if the heavens were appreciating the love of the two of them.
