Veda had no intention of giving birth to the child.
She secretly contacted her older brother and, with his arrangement, transferred to another hospital.
"Veda, why the sudden transfer?" Adam asked, confused. "The cesarean section is soon. Isn't it bad to transfer hospitals now?"
"The transfer was arranged by my brother," Veda said calmly. "He says this hospital's doctors serve the military directly and are more authoritative."
Adam was reassured. "If it's recommended brother, it must be fine."
Veda's older brother had always been an authority in the family, and Adam trusted him.
Thus, Veda successfully transferred hospitals.
The new hospital's treatment plan still involved a premature birth, with the surgery scheduled for the next day.
Adam canceled all his work and stayed in the hospital to accompany Veda for the delivery.
You don't have to do this, Veda said flatly. "You're busy with work, aren't you? It's okay if you don't stay with me."
She didn't really want to see him right now.
No matter how important work is, it's not as important as you, Adam said affectionately. "You've suffered so much during this pregnancy. If I leave you now, what kind of person would I be?"
I can't help much else, but at least tonight I can stay and get you water or anything you need.
Veda said nothing more.
That night, Veda needed to use the restroom. She struggled to get up, but when she turned on the light, she found the adjacent bed empty—Adam was gone.
Veda had a vague idea of where he was. She took out her phone and, sure enough, saw a message from Daisy with a room number, "Room 606."
Veda went to find that room. The door was ajar, and as soon as she approached, she heard Daisy's seductive laugh, "Master, stop working and pay attention to your little bunny~"
"Are you crazy? How dare you come to the hospital?" Adam said angrily. "Veda's surgery is tomorrow—she can't be stressed right now."
"We won't get caught, that's all that matters," Daisy stepped forward, wrapped her arms around Adam's neck, and giggled coquettishly. "Master, I'll put on a nurse's uniform for you, okay?"
Adam was clearly tempted. Daisy pressed her advantage, sliding her hand into his pants. "Master, you must be frustrated after all these days without release. Let your good little bunny help you."
Then she unzipped his pants and knelt before him.
Adam's breathing grew heavier. He didn't reject Daisy, following his desires and pressing her head down...
Soon, indecent sounds filled the room. Veda closed her eyes and shed her last tear.
She said nothing, silently went downstairs, and called her brother. "Move up the surgery. I can't take this anymore. I want this child removed now—I can't stand carrying his child for another minute!"
Everything about this repulsed her.
Preparations for the surgery were quickly completed, and Veda was wheeled into the operating room.
Looking at her swollen belly, Veda felt a twinge of hesitation.
After all, she was six and a half months pregnant—the baby could even survive a premature birth.
Did she really want to kill her already-formed child?
After a long silence, Veda decided to give Adam one last chance to save their child.
She asked the doctor to call Adam, telling him the surgery had been moved up. If he immediately left Daisy and came to be with her for the delivery, she would give birth to the child and then leave with it.
If he didn't come, she wouldn't keep the child.
She had done nothing wrong. She refused to bear the guilt of killing her own child, so she gave the choice to Adam.
Adam, if this child dies tonight, you will have killed it with your own hands!
