Adam rushed to the hospital first thing, naively assuming that Veda was still hospitalized there. Little did he know that while he was entangled with Daisy, Veda had already boarded a plane to a foreign country!
"Let me in! My wife is inside! I need to see her! Upon arriving at the hospital, Adam clashed with the security guards at the gate."
This hospital exclusively served the military and was not open to the public. Previously, the security guards had let Adam in because Bob had given the order, but now that Bob had revoked that privilege, Adam was naturally barred from entering.
Adam tried to make a scene at the hospital gate, but these security guards were no ordinary retirees; they were all retired soldiers transferred from the military, physically strong and well-trained. If not for the hospital's rule against engaging in physical altercations with civilians, Adam would have been beaten to the ground long ago.
Seeing that a forced entry wouldn't work, Adam changed his tactics. He stood outside the hospital and shouted, "Veda, I know you're inside. I know you don't want to see me right now, but I have to see you! I need to explain everything to you!"
If you don't come out to see me, I'll wait here forever, until you're willing to face me!
And so, Adam began his vigil outside the hospital, hoping to win Veda back with his persistence.
Fearing that Veda might not know he was waiting, he even spent money on a massive loudspeaker and spent his days shouting love declarations towards the ward where Veda had once stayed.
"Veda, you're the only one in my heart. I truly love you. Please, come out and see me!"
"Veda, I know I was wrong. I'll do anything if you'll just forgive me!"
"Veda, please come out and see me. You can hit me, scold me, but please don't punish me like this!"
Whenever Adam used the loudspeaker to shout outside the hospital wall, the security guards would come to drive him away. But even when treated like a lunatic, Adam remained unwavering, continuing to shout his declarations of love with the loudspeaker.
Finally, after his relentless efforts, a beautiful figure appeared behind him. "Adam..."
Adam's eyes lit up, and his expression turned ecstatic. He turned around eagerly and instinctively reached out to embrace the person behind him. "Veda! Thank goodness! Thank goodness you're finally willing to see me!"
However, it was only after he hugged the person that Adam realized it wasn't Veda in his arms but Daisy.
"What are you doing here?" Adam's face instantly turned cold. He pushed Daisy away and spoke to her with disgust. "Get lost! I don't want to see you!"
Daisy's eyes instantly welled up with tears. "Adam, why can't you see it? Veda doesn't love you, and she's not worth all this effort."
"I'm the one who truly loves you. I'm not with you for your money; I genuinely like you!"
Adam froze for a moment, then his expression turned icy cold as if he had just remembered something.
"Oh, I almost forgot. If it weren't for you, Veda would never have found out about my affair!" Adam's face darkened, and he took menacing steps toward Daisy, his fists clenching tightly. "You shameless bitch, I warned you countless times to stay away from Veda, but you just wouldn't listen! You had the audacity to send her threatening texts and even answered her video call while she was giving birth!"
