JUNGKOOK'S POV
"What happened to you in the past?"
Right after I said that, his face turned pale and he started to tremble. Shit! I shouldn't have told him that. I hope he doesn't go into depression right now.
"I-I don't know," he softly replied to me. I was confused. He doesn't know? Maybe he has amnesia. Or maybe... "Wait...I mean I do know about it but, are you sure you want to hear it?"
"Yeah. I am fine with it. If you don't want to tell me then you don't need to force yourself," I said and he nodded. Actually, I was really curious to know what exactly happened in the past. If I force him to tell me, then there is a chance that he might break the deal between us.
"It happened back when I was...I guess six or seven years old," he started and I sat down on the bed, beside him to make sure he doesn't start crying or shouting. He continued, "I had a friend. He was my first friend. We were really close and we always stayed side by side. But one day his parents divorced and he was sent with his father while his sister went with her mother. After that day, he was depressed and he was always sick. His dad started to drink a lot and that was another burden on his shoulder. He would sometimes skip school and when I asked him the reason, he always said the same thing that he was sick.
"One day I went to his house to surprise him because it was his birthday. The door was locked and I pounded on it multiple times. There was no response and I felt scared. I thought something bad happened to him. So I climbed a tree which grew near his window and luckily, the window was wide open. When I jumped in I-I..."
He suddenly stopped and buried his head in his hands and wept silently. I wrapped and arm around his shoulder and hugged him.
"He committed suicide," he sobbed and started to cry even more, "His wrists were slit and there was blood everywhere. His entire body was covered with scars and he died. He died, Jungkook."
I patted his head and pulled him closer to me. I had never knew that Taehyung had a past like this. I was always jealous about his perfect life, but if I had known about this sooner, would I still hate him?
"I am sorry, Jungkook," he mumbled and I shook my head.
"Don't apologize. I won't judge you now, so you can cry all you want," I said and he buried his head on my chest and cried and cried. I hugged him while he made my shirt wet. I buried my nose in his hair and I could smell a faint scent of chocolate.
"Chocolate?" I said out of nowhere and he looked at me with a confused face, "Your hair smells like chocolate."
"Really?" he said and plucked a strand of his hair and inhaled it, "I can't smell anything." I laughed and pulled him close to me.
"That's because it was only one strand," I buried my nose in his hair and he pushed me away.
"Creep," he said and I scowled at him.
"I didn't say anything when you fricking smelled my hair."
"Your hair? Oh yeah. Your hair smells like vanilla. Why so?"
"Because I am sweet." He threw a pillow at me and I threw it back at him. He fell back and started to laugh and he leapt on me. I couldn't dodge in time and I fell back on the bed. He sat on my stomach and I tried to push him away because he was as heavy as an elephant.
"Move fatty. You are so fricking heavy," I tried to push him away, but he didn't budge.
"You don't have the right to insult me, bunny boy," he said and suddenly I grabbed both of his arms and flipped him over so that I was on top of him.
"What's the matter, Tae bear?" I said to the red faced Taehyung, "Where is your mouth now?"
He scoffed at me and looked away. I grabbed his chin and I pulled it towards me. His lips were just few centimeters away from mine and my entire body was begging me to savor the soft, pink lips. I looked at his eyes and I saw how beautiful they looked. It looked cute and sexy at the same time and it was begging me to kiss him. He was staring at my lips and I purposefully wet my lips. He gulped and his eyes grew wide. He was blushing and he tried to look away, but how could he? He was completely drawn to my sexy lips (that's what Jimin told me before).
"What are you doing?" he whispered to me as I leaned closer to him.
"What do you think?" 4...3...2...1...
"TAEHYUNG AND JUNGKOOK SWEETY! I AM BACK!" his mom yelled from downstairs. We came to our senses and I jumped away from him. He and I looked away and pretended nothing happened. Suddenly the door banged open and his mother burst in.
"So what did you boys do while I was away?" she asked us or more like she asked me.
"We watched a movie," I said and she clapped her hands with joy.
She turned to look at Taehyung who was hugging his pillow tightly, "And was it a horror movie?" I snickered when she said that and Taehyung glared at me. I shut my mouth and looked away.
"Yeah," he muttered and his mother burst out laughing.
"I knew it. Still a scaredy-cat," she mocked him and continued to tease him. He looked like he was done with life and wanted to surrender to death.
"Ah! Jungkook," she called me and I looked at her, "Why don't you stay for dinner too?" I saw Taehyung fuming with rage and I wished I could have said yes. But sadly, my fiancée was coming to the city so I had to turn it down.
"I am so sorry, Mrs. Kim, but I have to go since a guest is coming to my house tonight," I said and she looked dejected, while Taehyung was grinning and partying behind his mother.
"Okay then. But don't forget to come next time then," she said and I smiled. I got up to leave and we exchanged goodbyes. Taehyung was literally forced to say it to me and I laughed when he received a whack from his mother for being disrespectful. I left the warm, friendly house and now, I had to head down to the airport.
I took a cab and we reached the airport in half an hour. I paid the driver and got out. It was too easy to find my mother who was wearing a luxurious dress and had a fur coat draped around her shoulders. Her first impressions are so expensive. I looked at my clothes and rubbed the back of my neck. I looked like an average kid from an average family living in an average city. Nothing too expensive and nothing too cheap. Just average. I just wish my life was average.
I walked up to her and she saw me. I waved at her and suddenly for a second, I felt she was giving me a death stare. But then she waved back at me and I stood beside her.
"What's with those peasant clothes?" she asked me and I shrugged. She sighed and turned her gaze to the doors. The five bodyguards around us where standing so quiet and straight that one might even think they are statues.
"How much longer?" I said and she looked at the time on her watch.
"Half an hour." Gross! I was hungry and my stomach was legit trying to burn itself.
"I am going to eat something," I said and walked towards a neat, looking café, but my mother grabbed my shirt and pulled me back.
"No! You are not going anywhere. Just ask them to get the food for you," she pointed to the bodyguards and I rolled my eyes. I asked one of them to get me the menu and he immediately brought one back. I skimmed through the list and most of it were cakes and ice-creams. I went through the list and I suddenly stopped at one item.
Vanilla and strawberry cake with strawberry toppings and chocolate shavings
Vanilla and chocolate cake with chocolate and vanilla chips, chocolate shavings and two vanilla and chocolate wafer rolls.
Vanilla cake with strawberry cream.
Vanilla and chocolate. I smiled and told my bodyguard my order. He immediately rushed into the café and minutes later, he came back with my food on a plastic plate. I sat down on one of the waiting chairs and ate it. It was delicious and for a second there, I pictured Taehyung's lips. I wonder how they will taste. Last time when I tasted it, it was sweet and sour. I think he ate grapes that time. It would be more delicious with this cake. Hold on...what am I even thinking? Oh gosh! Someone stab me in the heart. I will just pretend that whatever I thought never ever happened and it was all just....shit.
"I thought you hated vanilla and chocolate cake," my mother said and I smirked.
"Someone changed my taste," I said and she opened her mouth to say something, but she immediately shut it. Maybe she got the hint. She looked annoyed and I snickered. This was fun. But I do hate chocolate and vanilla things if they are together. Then why now do I feel no hatred towards it? Can it be...?
"She is here," my mother suddenly said and I groaned. She glared at me and I looked away. I ate the cake fast so that the bitch doesn't come and start swooning over the fact that I got the cake especially for her. This cake ain't for her.
People began to pour out through the front door and the bodyguards and my mother were frantically looking for her. I just sat there eating my delicious cake, not bothered about the person.
"My lady. She is there," one of the guards said and my mom saw her too. I saw her too. Blonde hair with pink streaks, curvy body, flawless skin, blueish eyes, dark red lips and thin, long legs. The other bitch in my 'Bitches who exist in this world' list.
Leishi Rivers. The daughter of the CEO of the Rivers Enterprises. My fiancée.
"Hello Mrs. Jeon," she squealed with joy and hugged my mother tightly, "How are you?" her accent was pretty cool, sorry but got to admit it, but she was very annoying when she yelled at you. Her high pitch voice can break your eardrums. And her singing? Don't ask at all. She will not only break your ears but also your soul. She pulled away from my mother and saw me. She waved at me and I pretended not to see her. But that girl won't give up at all.
She rushed towards me and immediately sat on my lap. I frowned at her and she giggled. She wrapped her arms around my neck and hugged me. I was literally suffocating with the amount of perfume she had put. At least she wasn't like my mother who emptied the bottle in one use.
"I missed you so much, darling," she said and kissed my cheek. I pushed her away and luckily she didn't fall or else she would start her usual tantrum. I took out a handkerchief from my pocket and wiped the area where she kissed me.
"Babe," she wrapped her arms around me and leaned closer to my face. I rolled my eyes and looked away, "Did you miss me babe?"
"Not at all," I deadpanned and she looked shocked, probably expecting me to say something cheesy.
"But babe—"
"You must be tired. So go home," I said and she smiled. She hooked her arms with mine and dragged me to the car. I was internally screaming for her to let go. This is going to be annoying and a long drama. But most importantly, since she is here now, it is time for Taehyung to shine. And I have to be there to protect him from these scheming bitches. No wonder dad hasn't take any actions till now.
He wants Taehyung to be crushed into a pulp by these bitches before he comes and completely destroys him.
But as long as I live, nothing will ever happen to him...
Did I just sound like a protective boyfriend? My My My. Whoever marries me is going to be the lucky person.
