Melody strode towards the kitchen in the main part of the Castle looking for her mate. After several days, most of which they’d spent in bed, she’d relented enough to move in with her Dragon.
As if he had to do much arm twisting, she snorted. She couldn’t wait to move in, the platinum emerald and diamond ring on her finger was a testament to his sincerity almost as much as the emerald rose marking that warmed and pulsed on her skin whenever he was near.
She belonged there, at Castle Falk, with her mate. They’d found their fur and scales together last night for the first time. The two of them anxious for their beasts to meet face to face.
Melody had been in awe of the magnificence of Niko’s EnergyDragon. The magical beast was more powerful and majestic as anything she could have imagined. Her Coyote had yipped at his heels and howled in glee when he’d raced through the pine barrens with her.
Yes. She was exactly where she belonged. In fact, she’d just emailed her official resignation letter to Mrs. Grayson at Merlin Banking Solutions.
Oddly enough the woman had already started the paperwork, having had an inkling Melody would not be returning after she’d sent her down to Maccon City after Nikolai, unbeknownst to her.
It didn’t matter. She had a new job at Draco Fortis. She was excited at the prospect of exploring the partnership between her mate and Graves Enterprises. They had many projects in the works. They only needed the greenlight from her to begin production.
One thing she did immediately was send a huge NO THANK YOU, to Virdi Lux and the vicious tongued Angie White. Followed by an announcement in the local newspaper of the upcoming nuptials. Take that, beyotch.

She stretched her arms and sighed as she padded barefoot across the marble floors. She probably should have donned something more than her towel, but he’d promised her breakfast in bed and she was starving.

She entered the kitchen and was stunned to see three enormous males each with his arms around a woman, one was obviously pregnant, and another held a squirming baby.
“Uh-”

“Is this her?”
“Yes, her scent is mixed with his.”
“She’s naked.”

Whispered murmurs, wide eyes, and smiles met her confused face as she tried to duck back out the door. But her mate decided to stroll in at that time, wrapping his arms around her and pressing his hard bulge into her ass.
“I had to run to the store, love, but since we are here why don’t we pick up-”
Heat pooled between her legs, her constant state around him, she realized. He nibbled her neck, and she was speechless for a second before she recalled their audience and elbowed him.
“Ouch.”
“Nik, perhaps your mate would like to learn our names before you expose her to your family?” Callius’ laughing voice boomed in front of them and her mate stilled instantly.
“Oh stop, Cal.” Winifred handed her tall husband the baby before coming over and embracing the nearly naked Melody.
“Hello, ooh you’re Coyote, that’s cool, I’m a Werewolf, my name is Winifred, but everyone calls me Fred,”
“Damn,” Nikolai growled and took off his sweatshirt, sliding the top over his mate’s damp curls and tugging it done over her nearly nude frame.
“That’s a lovely mate you got there, runt,” growled a large redhead followed by a grunt after the short curly-haired woman next to him slapped his arm and rushed forward to take Melody’s hand.
“I’m sorry, it will be over soon,” Nik kissed her ear and held her close. She was decently covered by his oversized sweatshirt, but embarrassment stained her cheeks.
“I’m Joss, that’s my mate Edric. That there is Sander and Noelle, and welcome to the family..”
Melody smiled and shook hands, exchanged hugs, and learned the names of Nik’s three brothers.
She’d had no idea that mating him was going to include an instant family, but her heart felt near to bursting it was so full of happiness.
They escaped back to their bedroom and she stood off to the side as Nikolai entered slowly behind her.
“Baby?”
“You never said you had family,” she murmured.
His heart stopped. Was this a game changer? He did not know but he was scared as fuck.
“No, I didn’t think it was important.”
“I’m sorry, I should have asked if you were okay living here, with everyone. The Castle is designed to be four separate living quarters with only the main halls and kitchen joining them, but Melody I swear if this is an issue for you, we can go, anywhere you like.”
She turned her glowing eyes on him and leapt in his arms. He caught her. Ever ready for his sweet mate.
“You gave me a family, Niko,” she whispered the words as if they were a secret.
“You are my family, Melody,” he said and locked his lips onto hers.
Love and desire burned through his veins.
