"I am... Je suis désolé..." ( I'm sorry... ) He whispered, and I blushed as we haven't hugged in so long. I find myself hugging him back, inhaling his scent oddly enough.
"For what?"
"You know what." He pulled back, holding my cheek in his hand as he caresses my cheekbone." I use such awful method to trick you so I could do this plan."
"What awful method?"
He grins, raising an eyebrow... Suddenly everything began to add up and I felt my face heat up in embarrassment. Watching as he sees the realization, making him laugh.
"Why...so you never kissed...?"
"No! I tell Quinn plan how I want my English better by the time of my big plan. So...I kinda asked him to be the bad guy in my plan." I sighed, rubbing my temples as I knew I'd have to apologize to the guy now.
"What about when he sat on your lap and kissed your cheek and...?"
"All part of plan. I knew if I made you jealous or angry, you would not talk to me. You shut me out for two weeks, which was perfect amount of time I needed."
"For what?! You crazy...freak!" I exclaim teasingly, making him chuckle." You knew I was hurting - was it fucking worth it?!"
"Yes, actually. 'Cause in end, you get wonderful gift!" He smiled, taking my hand as he kissed it." Today is exciting day. For the rest of the day, it is just you and me."
I raise my eyebrows, not having a problem with it. His expression saying lots as he looked nervous and happy.
"Yeah? What are we doing?"
"You see. I not ruin the plan until I hear word."
"What word?"
He smiled, tapping the yellow ladybug pendent on my chest. Making me still confused, him shrugging it off as he faced back forward.
"It not matter right now. Right now, it ahead that counts. Hope you are ready for an adventure!"
He suddenly slipped to a bench, reaching behind it as he pulled up a cute yellow book bag. Making me smile at how cute it looked and how innocent he looked as he slipped it on - no never mind. Less threatening is better.
"What's in here?"
"Everything we need! We travel everywhere until I get word. Everywhere...yellow."
"What's with your infatuation with yellow today?" I giggled, seeing him grinning as he took my hand in his again.
"'Cause. It such nice color. It bright and when I was very little I yellow was my favorite color. I still somewhat like it, despite brown and green being there too." Seeing him wink at me, I chuckle shyly.
The two of us strolling through the park with his cute book bag and our yellow ladybug pendents were probably a lot to take in for others. Seeing them glance in shock and see how bright we were. But I didn't mind, he loved it and so did I.
"Where are we going first?" I ask as he points at a white bungalow. My eyes beginning to see the yellow lemonade inside mason-jars along with yellow macaroons.
I smile, looking at him as he smiles too.
"Did you?"
"I did."
He pulled me inside, handing me a glass of the lemonade as he sat down in front of the macaroons. Me sitting next to him as I didn't know what this was, but I loved it so far. He seemed to too as he had a bright smile on his face.
"Macaroon?" Picking one up, he held it out towards me as I frowned.
"Flavor?"
"Lemon. It good, try it."
I sigh, him biting off half as he put the rest in my mouth by hand. Chewing it as I realized the lemon ones weren't as sour or tangy as I expected. But sweet and savory.
"Get these from France or something?"
"Yes actually. Dad had them imported here, I want best for you. I am happy you like." He murmurs, making me smile as I drink some more lemonade.
"So I don't understand still, let me clarify everything you told me," I took a deep breath, chuckling as I thought more on it," You pretended to be cheating so that I'd go away so you could do your big plan for me? Even though it made me cry and you were mean?"
"Yes, I force self though. It is not the easiest thing being mean to you. Not sure about you, but that not matter! I knew you would do this, so I took my chance to use this alone time and do my plan. I could not have you around if I wanted to do it, so this was the best prank ever!"
I shook my head, wondering what's up with that. But at least it was just a prank...or a trick like Bella put it.
"You're evil." I tease, playfully pouting as he gave me a side hug.
"I try, for you William, anything possible!"
I snicker, him standing as he brought me up with him.
"Is there more you wanted to show me?"
"Of course. There is always more. I am going to add so much yellow, that you will never forget it. It will just be...all yellow up in there!" He shook his head around wildly, looking crazy as we stepped out the bungalow." But that not matter. Here, examine this."
He went in the book bag that was packed with stuff, pulling out a tape with the film pulled out. I didn't understand what I needed to examine, this thing was useless.
"What's the point?"
"Just read the address. Once you figure it out, our next destination will be set."
I sigh, reading the label as it happened to be yellow. Snickering, I saw an address, making me look at it in confusion.
I've been everywhere in LA and I've never heard of this address.
"What's...? Do you mean Fairfax?" I ask, knowing that this address was in a town that was a few miles from here.
"I not sure...sound familiar!" He grinned, taking the tape as he looked at the address." I not know. But all I know is that the place it take me to will be everything. Trust me."
"I trust you." I murmur, making him smile as he kissed my head.
"I am happy you think so," I gasp as I saw a black and yellow Mercedes G-Wagon rolling towards us, making me wonder who the hell would drive it," 'Cause while you gone, I got excessive driving lessons on how to drive on a American road and now have a license!"
I chuckle, wondering how that's even possible. There's tests and it takes months to get your license...my parents probably pulled a few strings for him.
"So...you can drive now?"
"Yep!" He ran to the car, opening the door as my mom stepped out. Waving and I saw the yellow ladybug pendent as well on her shirt. They suddenly whispered to one another and he nodded excitedly at whatever she said.
"William, no sex in public places - no matter how tempted you'll get today."
"What?" I blush, making her laugh as she stepped back.
I went to the passenger side of the car, sitting next to Arthur as he put the keys in. Glancing at me as to see my reaction, I smiled, making him smile as he seemed to get confident again.
"I drove to your hotel, so I not know why I am getting so nervous..." Clearing his throat, he moved the gearshift to Drive. Grinning he pressed his foot on the pedal as the car began to move and he squealed.
Finding myself laughing and he looked so excited to be moving the car. When I learned how to drive I guess I was just as excited, but I wasn't squealing like this. This is different, and I liked it.
"Someone's excited about moving the car...four mph."
"I know! I do happy! Are you proud of me?!"
"Of course."
"I gonna drive you somewhere special. Siri will take me there - Hey Siri!" He cried happily, his phone dinging and he squealed again.
"I'm sorry, I'm afraid I didn't get that."
I rolled my eyes, Arthur frowning.
"I not even say anything. Why does she do that?" He asked, and I chuckled.
"Have you ever had an iPhone?"
"No. This first one and it so cool!"
"Okay, lemme see." I took his phone as I put the address in. The directions to getting there popping up and I started it." Got it. Now just listen to her and if you do we should get to the place safely without getting lost."
"I try." He mumble, moving the car as he began to drive at fifteen mph in the park, which is minimum but I would've been bored to death. At least he cares about people's safety, I don't.
"So," I leaned back in the seat, smirking at him as he looked concentrated on the road," What is this big thing you're doing for me? I'm clueless, but these yellow ladybugs have to have something to do with it."
"It does." He said, making me grin." I not want to get into it, but it is very special. You special, of course."
"Aww don't flatter me too much."
"Do I hear sarcasm?"
"Yep."
He smiles, facing back forward as he stopped at a stop sign.
"This place we go to is a place I thought was...full of yellow. I like yellow. It color of sun, sunflowers, lemons, leaves in fall, buses, taxis, topazes, some apples-."
"The color of urine." I interrupt, making him sigh.
"True-."
"And the color of some dog shit. As well as fungus. Also teeth-."
"Why you ruin my nice yellow things?! Those all not good - except teeth, some people cannot help."
"Yeah, 'cause they nasty."
"No-."
"Yes."
He pouted, just staring at the road and avoiding eye contact.
"You so...you so negative!"
"Thank you...not negative about you though." I murmur, and he smiles lovingly.
"Know what else is nice?" He asked in a voice lower than his own, making me blush at how low it was. I for some odd reason was a sucker to his deep voice.
"What?"
"I am not negative about you either. I...I love you. I am still kind of hurt that you would think I would cheat on you."
I laugh, shaking my head as I did wonder to myself. Why the hell would I think that? I should've just known something was up from the get-go. But I didn't...which is my mistake.
"I am wrong for that. I don't even know what I was thinking. You would never cheat, you're too much of a good person. It almost hurts me to think why you'd fall for a psychopath like me."
We stopped at a stoplight that was about to go on the highway. Watching as he leaned towards me, kissing me and letting me know that he didn't think that of me whatsoever.
Almost making me sad that he was so much in love with a person so rotten like me. When I first met him...I hated his guts. He won me over and now here we are. But after everything I've done...all those chances and I'm still here...? With him...?
"I love you." I mumble against his lips, him pulling away as he smiled.
"I love you too-."
"No, really. Arthur, listen to me, I really fucking do. I don't know why you chose me, but thank you for doing so. I don't deserve you, you're too perfect for me. I thought I was perfect and everything, but everything I was saying about myself...is you. You're what I want to be. Everything I describe about myself is just straight up you-!"
HONK!
I flinch, looking over my shoulder as I see cars behind us. Facing forward as the light was green and Arthur panicked. Driving forward with quickness as he began to go on the highway.
"Already broke the first rule of driving. Don't get distracted on the road-."
"You were making a confession to me and I was enamored by your voice... You believe every word you said?"
"I do."
"Then this makes this day much better. I not regret a thing like he said."
I frown, looking at him as he looks like he regretted saying that.
"Who said you'd regret what?"
"Umm..."
"Remember what you said!" I exclaimed, pointing at him crazily." You said the best thing in a marriage is honesty! Be honest!!!"
He nodded, chuckling as he looked away from me.
"Nathan...and Dylan...and your dad told me I should not do this. That I would regret it. That is why he was probably asking you if you wanted the marriage with me so much. We talked about my plan and he agreed-."
"What plan though?! Fuck Nathan and Dylan, their opinions are irrelevant. But you! What's the plan?"
He shrugged, driving off the highway. But while he did so I saw a town - probably his destination, Fairfax - coming near us.
"You have to tell me." I beg, grabbing hold of his arm. Knowing not to shake it as I was taught not to distract the driver. Duh.
"I do not have to tell you. Especially since I made the surprise - Ooh!" He swerved around a corner, making a car honk in response as he cut them.
Watching as he drove to...?
"What is this?"
I looked at the place, seeing a shutdown skating rink. Arthur looking excited to see something that wasn't in use as he stepped out the car. Running to my side as he opened my door, making me smile.
Stepping out he grabbed the tape as he tried to gather the piles of film in his hand. Glancing at the address then the place.
"This is place. Ready?"
"No. This place looks crazy. Not to mention it's vacant."
"Exactly. Just..e inside." He pleaded suddenly, and I frowned as he grabbed my hand. I don't know what's so important about a place that's useless...or is it?
He goes to the doors, looking around as he suddenly slid the tape through the broken glass doors. Hearing it fall to the floor, I chuckle as I don't understand what's going on.
"That was completely use-."
The doors suddenly came open, and I don't know who pushed it open... But it was almost like a ghost was here.
"What's going on?"
"This place is known for being haunted. That a man here passed listening to this tape of his wife's song, which your dad bought off eBay. He found it and now my plan will work!...if the ghost likes me."
"Bullshit."
He shrugs, opening the door for me and I refused to go inside. Him practically grabbing my arm as he pulled me in and once we were inside he picked up the tape, the doors instantly slamming closed.
Not only was it fucking dark in here, but the only light in here was the cracked glass from the dusty doors. Not to mention it smelled like feet and old food.
"Arthur..." I growl, looking to my side and I see him marveling at the place. Holding the tape as he waved it around.
"Bonjour! In French that means, hello! Anyway...I have a request..." He speaks, his voice echoing and making this place more eerie than it already was." I have something important to me and I have something important to you. This tape with the sounds of your wife's lovely voice. If you do what I ask, I will play her music for you."
Nothing happens, but Arthur begins to walk to the stereo system. Going behind the wall as he disappeared. Leaving me alone to this shitty place and making me get goosebumps.
There was no way in hell there was a ghost here. The fact that he believed that junk was laughable.
When he walked out I snickered, him grinning as I shook my head.
"You know, there's no such thing as ghosts. What's the point of doing that?"
"Oh? Doing what?"
I frown," Are you playing with me?"
"No...? What are you talking about? I right here."
I immediately freeze as I hear a light voice echo in the rink. A woman's voice echoing through and I felt goosebumps forming and Arthur smiled.
"This is my wife's song." He said, and I frowned." I loved it, especially after she passed and all I had was this song. This was the closest thing I had..."
I was out of it. Stepping back Arthur walked away from me. If this was him, me following.
"I lost something important that I didn't pay much attention to. I treated her horribly and she still loved me for my mistakes. I have had lots of guys come here with their girlfriends - or this is the first, husband - and pledge their love. I take over their body to see if their sincere before I do their request. This is the first guy I've seen who's lover is truly in their heart.
"You gotta keeper! So, I will do his request."
"Wait!" I cry, and...the guy raises Arthur's eyebrows, waiting.
"If you aren't Arthur...then who are you?"
"I'm just a guy taking over someone's body to make sure they don't make the same mistake like me...I'm no one special."
"Wait...again! I have a question...Arthur loves me to his heart? I'm his everything?"
"Yes. You're his...Bastille. At least in his mind. Now... No more questions! Time to do his request."
Suddenly he blinked and I knew I was staring at Arthur as he grinned my grin. But I was scared, no, I was out of my mind.
"Arthur I-."
He smashed his lips on mine, his hands gripping my waist as he pulled me towards him.
The music still playing but as my eyes were closed I opened them a peek, seeing the whole area beginning to light up and pop with...yellow.
Am I on drugs or what?
This can't be possible, none of this should or can be possible!
"William...I want to take this chance now that my English is tip-top... So, listen to me. We married at Las Vegas and the memory is...dim. But I want to do this right."
I blush as he pulls away. Grabbing the book bag as he pulls out a small velvet...ring box. Grinning at it as he opened it and I couldn't see it, but I knew it was something as he smiled at it with admiration.
"J'ai demandé timidement à vos parents de se marier. Votre mère était tout pour elle et votre père était heureux pour nous deux. Mais nous sommes inquiets que vous ne nous preniez pas à coeur tous les deux ... Je suis certain que vous le ferez après avoir entendu ce que vous avez dit dans la voiture et tout jusqu'à maintenant ... Donc j'ai une question importante à poser, si vous ne me dérange pas de demander." ( I, shyly, asked for your parents hand in marriage. Your mom is was all for it and your dad was happy for the both of us. But we're worried you wouldn't take the two of us to heart... I am certain you will after hearing what you said in the car and everything up until now... So I have an important question to ask, if you don't mind me asking. ) He wanted, throwing the book bag to the ground as he got on one knee.
My heart stopping as the whole place lit up and it glowed a bright yellow as he grinned. Letting me see the huge topaz rock of a ring in front of me.
"William, let me do this right and ask you...if you will marry me?" He breathed, hearing the nerves in his voice. But I wasn't nervous about my answer.
Never did I think I'd be having someone proposing in front of me like this in a creepy, haunted skating rink. But it's him and to think I hated this guy... Arthur Louie Martin... William Alexander Martin...?
"William Alexander Martin..." I smirk as he smiled, and I took the ring as I was surprised still at the huge rock. How much karats was this? Didn't women dream of having rings like this?" Has a nice ring to it."
"Yeah?"
"Mmhmm."
"So...is that a yes?"
"Yes, Arthur." I chuckle, smiling as he began squealing. Jumping up and down with excitement, stopping as he took the ring. Taking the other ring off my finger and slipped it in his pocket, putting the new on.
Looking at it, I looked up at him as we looked in one another's eyes. Then in-sync my hands cradled his face as he wrapped his arms around me. The two of us pressing a kiss to one another's lips.
Feeling tears of happiness building in the corners of my eyes, the two of us kissing as I opened my eyes and the yellow was gone. Seeing Arthur's eyes were open too, the both of us snorting.
"I believe our time's up." He muttered, leaving the tape playing on repeat as we left. Stepping out and I was bombarded with all these yellow cars in front of us. Seeing my dad rush towards us, smiling from ear to ear as he looked at Arthur.
"I believe the YELLOW LADYBUG is ready to soar." He sighs, still smiling and Arthur smiled too. Everyone was smiling, except me, I was confused. Arthur just running off in a different with my guys as it sadly was just me... With Bella, Talia, Nathan, Dylan, and others.
"Oh William! Look at that ring!" I watch as Bella and Talia run up on me - people I haven't seen in a while, examining the ring.
"Isn't this kind of ring meant for women like us?" Talia asked, Bella giggling as I rolled my eyes.
"It's for guys too. Besides, my hands make it look smaller so what the heck."
It got quiet, and I looked to see Nathan with folded arms. I sighed, rolling my eyes as I walked towards him.
"Why are you angry?"
"Because...he should've been asking me. Arthur's everything in a guy that a man or woman would desire...why...you?"
I look away, walking the direction they went as everyone began to follow.
"Because he loves me."
"Duh, don't have to rub it in."
"You're lucky he's even friends with you're crazy ass. I'm not trying to bring this on any longer so..."
He looks away, becoming quiet as he stepped forward. Doing so, I slammed into Arthur's chest. Seeing him in a crisp suit and looking down at me with love.
Ignoring Nathan's mumbles as he leaned towards me. Brushing his lips on my forehead.
"Ready to do this right?"
"Yeah," I smile, wrapping my arms around his neck as I kiss him," Looks like I'm falling for my Exchange Brother. Clearly."
"Falling? No, you've fallen for your Exchange Brother. That is better."
I chuckle, smiling as I shrug.
"Does it matter? All I know is that I was falling for my Exchange Brother and now he's caught me, now your all mine."
He smiles, a tear going down his cheek as I suddenly wanted to cry as well. It was so contagious, our heads pressing together as he picked me up. Turning away as he smirked.
"Et vous êtes tous à moi." ( And you're all mine. )

        "For what?"
"You know what." He pulled back, holding my cheek in his hand as he caresses my cheekbone." I use such awful method to trick you so I could do this plan."

"Et vous êtes tous à moi." ( And you're all mine. )
