"Give them the medicine, then strip them down," Kailyn said with a slight smirk, her lips curling into a cunning smile. "Do you think Alex will still stand by you if these steamy photos are revealed at the Parks family banquet? Will your father still recognize you as his daughter?"
I furrowed my brows, giving her a cold laugh, then met her gaze fearlessly. "Kailyn, do you really think this place looks like a setting for an affair? Are you sure Alex will believe those photos, whether they're real or not?"
Kailyn's smile instantly froze on her face. Though her lips still curled in that same mocking grin, her eyes now gleamed with anger and embarrassment.
She then slowly ordered the two men behind her, "Take them to the nearest hotel and take more photos."
After giving her orders, she turned back to me, her smile now full of triumph and provocation. "Enjoy your time, don't worry, the camera I bought is high-quality, I'm sure it'll capture you perfectly."
The two burly men immediately stepped forward, their expressions fierce, their eyes greedy and lewd.
One of them grabbed my arm, the strength in his grip enough to crush my bones, while the other went to drag Alfie, who was still unconscious, off the floor.
I struggled fiercely, kicking my legs wildly, trying to break free from their hold.
"Let go of me! You bastards!" I shouted angrily, my voice echoing in the empty factory.
But the men didn't care. They dragged me and Alfie out of the factory like we were mere children. A black van was parked not far away, its door wide open.
They roughly threw me into the back seat of the van. Alfie was tossed in beside me, his body slamming into me.
I turned my head to look at Alfie, who was still unconscious. A wave of guilt and worry washed over me. If it weren't for me, he wouldn't be caught in such danger.
The van started, bouncing along the rough road.
I leaned back against my seat, my mind racing to think of a way to escape. Kailyn sat in the passenger seat, occasionally turning around to look at me with a mocking gaze, as if she was admiring her own handiwork.
"Laurel, stop wasting your energy. You're not getting out of this today," Kailyn said smugly.
I ignored her, silently observing my surroundings.
After a while, the van stopped in front of a small, somewhat dilapidated hotel.
The burly men dragged me and Alfie out of the van and headed straight for the hotel.
The lobby reeked of mildew, the flickering lights making everything feel eerie.
"If you don't want anyone to get hurt, you better cooperate," Kailyn whispered in my ear, gripping my arm tightly. "Otherwise, your friend's life won't be safe."
The front desk clerk shot a surprised glance at us, but quickly lowered his head, pretending not to see anything.
We were taken to a room that was sparsely furnished, with only a bed, a table, and a few chairs.
The two burly men threw Alfie onto the bed and then turned toward me.
"Don't do anything stupid," I warned loudly, my voice trembling slightly.
But they didn't listen. They kept approaching, step by step.
At that moment, Alfie, who had been unconscious, suddenly stirred.
He slowly opened his eyes, still a little dazed, but quickly realized the danger we were in.
"What are you doing?" Alfie growled as he tried to sit up, his voice deep and strong.
Kailyn, hearing Alfie's voice, turned around, a hint of surprise on her face. "Oh, you're awake already? Perfect, now you two can enjoy this beautiful moment together."
Alfie glared at her, his eyes blazing with fury. "This is a crime. You will pay for what you've done."
Kailyn sneered. "Pay? Once I release these photos, you'll have more to worry about than that."
Alfie struggled against the men holding him down, but they pressed him into the bed, preventing him from moving.
I watched anxiously, my heart racing. "Kailyn, let him go. We're not even close, and he's about to get married. Do you really think Alex will believe I'd mess around with a man who's already married?"
Kailyn, hearing my words, grinned with satisfaction. "Don't worry, men aren't just about one person."
I paused, my eyes shifting to the few lewd men standing around in the room.
Kailyn snorted and then gave the two men a signal before turning to me with a smile. "I'll let you enjoy your time now."
With that, she gave a sly smile and turned to leave.
At that moment, one of the men standing next to me handed me a bottle of water. "Drink it, and it'll save you some pain."
I took the bottle, then, as he relaxed his guard, I kicked him hard in the groin.
He screamed in agony, his hands clutching at his crotch as he crouched down in pain.
The other man, seeing this, lunged at me.
I quickly sidestepped, dodging his attack.
Alfie took advantage of the moment, using all his strength to break free from the men's hold.
He jumped off the bed and lunged at Kailyn.
Kailyn's eyes widened in fear as she tried to escape, but it was too late.
Alfie grabbed her arm, holding her tightly.
"Don't move. If you do, I won't hold back," Alfie shouted.
The other men were frozen in place, unsure of how to react.
"Alfie, let's go!" I rushed to Alfie's side and pulled at his arm.
Alfie nodded, pushing Kailyn toward the door.
The men in the room hesitated, but seeing the determined look in Alfie's eyes, they didn't dare to stop us.
We managed to leave the hotel without incident. Alfie shoved Kailyn into a taxi and told the driver, "Take us to the police station."
Upon hearing the destination, Kailyn showed no fear at all. Instead, she turned and studied me.
"Laurel, are you really sending me to the police?"
I took a deep breath. When the car reached a road, I opened the door and kicked Kailyn out.
"Just like that, you're letting her go?" Alfie asked, puzzled.
He knew better than anyone that even if we took her to the police, there wouldn't be enough evidence to convict her. There was a good chance she could even accuse us of kidnapping her.
I furrowed my brows, giving her a cold laugh, then met her gaze fearlessly. "Kailyn, do you really think this place looks like a setting for an affair? Are you sure Alex will believe those photos, whether they're real or not?"
