                    LUNAWYN'S POV
As we proceeded towards the elevator, I gazed at Trent, who had his head straight up. I shifted my gaze to Trini, whose hands were folded below her armpits. Her expression wasn't one of excitement but a mix of jealousy.
"Ping," Trent pressed the elevator button as we patiently waited for the elevator door to open. The elevator door slid open, and we entered into the small space.
My eyes locked onto his as he pressed another button, taking us to the first floor. I shrugged, not knowing where he was taking us.
"Attention snatcher, I hope you're taking us to an interesting place for the tour?" Trini asked and unfolded her hands, still trying to cause trouble, but Trent ignored her and shrugged.
"I don't know if it will be interesting to you," he said, trying to be calm. Trent never liked insults, and I didn't want him to be upset, so I immediately cut in.
"You guys should cut it out; you're not children."
"I didn't do anything! I was the first to tell you that I'm taking you on the tour," Trini replied.
"Even if you were the first, you got your turn. Now let him have his," I said, trying to ease the uncomfortable tension around us.
"Ping." The elevator door slid open, and we walked past it into the pack's lobby. Soon, we were outside the pack.
The fresh summer breeze hitting my face brought comfort to my body, making me let out a long sigh. Trini did the same, as I thought she felt it too. At least the annoying tension seemed to ease around us.
Trent and Trini both walked down, descending from the pavement. I held back, gazing at them as they both came down.
"Come on, girl," Trini said with a smile of encouragement on her face, but Trent turned back to gaze at me and stretched his hand toward me with a nice gesture.
I extended my hand toward his as we held each other. I gently came down from the pavement and stepped on the well-treated green grass.
He pulled me closer to him as he whispered into my ear, "Don't be scared, Lunawyn, don't let anything hold you back."
Trini gazed at us, not knowing what to say. She couldn't spoil the moment, but she wanted to. She just stared at us and shrugged.
"Okay, can we start going?" Trini said, just as I expected—she spoiled it a little.
"Are you this predictable?" Trent asked, as if he was in my mind.
"No, I'm not. If you weren't being petty, maybe we should have reached the so-called interesting place," Trini replied with so much sarcasm in her tone.
I'm actually the cause of this problem. I had to resolve it before it brings enmity between them. Trent was very good at ignoring people, so him not having to talk to Trini was easy for him to do.
Trent wanted to reply, but I immediately used my eyes to interrupt him, signaling for him to stop.
He let go of my hand and took a few steps, before he noticed we were not following him. He turned back and said, "Come on, guys."
I walked toward him, and Trini followed. He was taking us to the back of the pack house.
There was actually nothing interesting at the back of the pack house; it was only a garden. I wanted to turn back, but I didn't want to disappoint Trent, so I followed alongside Trini. We reached the garden gate, and Trent pushed it open.
"So, this is the so-called interesting place you promised to show Lunawyn? How disappointing," she said with sarcasm and a mischievous look.
I gazed at Trent, who didn't even seem angry at all. Instead, he replied with a calm and low voice,
"Just wait for it," he said and continued walking.
After some seconds, we arrived at the end of the garden. It was full of a lot of vines, lined vertically like a vine fence.
Trent extended his hand through the vines, and to my surprise, it passed through them. He shifted all the vines to the right, and a beautiful view was seen ahead.
It was surreal. I never knew about this place because I'd never been to this side of the garden.
Trent held the vine and gestured for me to go to the other side of the garden. I took a few steps, and I was on the other side. The view was so beautiful, with the blue waters that flowed down the valleys.
Trent followed me and immediately dropped the vines on Trini's face, and he smirked.
Trini immediately rushed inside and hissed playfully after being satisfied with what she was seeing.
"So, you finally seemed to amaze me," Trini said with a slight smile on her face, but her eyes were locked onto the view.
Trent and I exchanged glances, and I asked, "How did you know about this place?"
"It's a long story, but I hope you like it?" Like it was an understatement—I loved it.
"Yeah, I do. This wasn't much of a tour, but this view is wonderful," I replied.
"Who is that at the other end?" Trini asked as she squinted her eyes to see the person.
Trent did the same. "I can't see the person clearly. Let's go check..." Trent paused as he ran his hand through his hair.
"I thought I was the only one who knew about here," Trent continued, and gestured for Trini and me to follow him.
We got to the other end, only to see Alpha Luciano with a mixture of sadness and anger on his face.
His face was straight and expressionless as he stared into nothing.
"Good afternoon, Alpha," we all greeted in unison, but there was no response from him. It made my heart sink.
"Is there anything wrong?" I asked, but still, no response.
"I've finally decided to stay permanently in this pack," I said, thinking it would cheer him up, but the reply I got wasn't pleasant to my heart at all.
"Who cares anymore if you care to stay."
