                    Trini's Pov
I stood frozen, my eyes fixed on the door, waiting for Lunawyn to walk through it. Minutes ticked by, and I'd already finished arranging the room, but there was no sign of her. A knot formed in my stomach as I wondered where she could be.
Suddenly, my phone buzzed, shrill in the silence. I jumped, my heart racing. It was Lunawyn.
"Lunawyn, what's wrong?" I asked, trying to keep my voice steady.
"Someone's been in your apartment," she said, her voice trembling. "There's a message...it says I'm not safe."
My blood ran cold. I felt a chill run down my spine. Who could have done this?
"Oh no, Lunawyn. Get out of there, now," I urged, trying to stay calm.
I waited for what felt like an eternity for her to respond. But the line went dead.
Panic set in. I tried calling her back, but it went straight to voicemail. I felt helpless, my mind racing with worst-case scenarios.
Tears pricked at the corners of my eyes as I contemplated what to do. Should I go to my apartment? But what if whoever was threatening her was still there?
I paced back and forth, my heart pounding in my chest. I had to do something.
But what?
I stopped in front of the door, my hand on the handle. I took a deep breath, trying to gather my courage.
Just as I was about to step out, a knock at the door made me jump.
My heart skipped a beat. Who could it be?
I hesitated, wondering if I should answer it. But what if it was Lunawyn?
I took a deep breath and opened the door, my eyes scanning the hallway.
But it wasn't Lunawyn.
It was Trent, his face etched with concern.
"Trini it's all my fault that she ran away" he said, his voice low. "Have you seen her?"
I felt a lump form in my throat as I nodded, trying to hold back tears.
"We have a more bigger problem than that" I said, my voice cracking. "She said someone's been in my apartment, and she's not safe."
Trent's expression darkened, his eyes narrowing.
"So she didn't run away?" Trent asked with concern in his face
"She did tun away but she came back as she heard the news about the beta's death...." I paused
"She got the realisation that the Alpha wasn't angry for her, but was sad" I continued
Trent sighed relief "Oh thank goodness" He said.
"Don't thank God now, Lunawyn has been kidnapped" I summoned the courage the tell him the news knowing that it will break him.
"Kid- kidnapped..." Trent said his voice breaking with fear "first the beta now she" he continued rubbing his head in frustration
"We have to rush there now we have to find Lunawyn as soon as possible" Trent said
Together, we rushed out into the unknown, determined to find Lunawyn and keep her safe.
We rushed to my apartment, our hearts racing with every step. Trent's face was set in a determined expression, while I couldn't shake off the feeling of dread. My mind was consumed by worst-case scenarios. What if we were too late? What if Lunawyn was hurt?
As we entered, our eyes widened in unison. The room was in shambles. My vase lay shattered on the floor, its pieces scattered everywhere. The coffee table was overturned, and cushions were strewn about. It looked like a tornado had swept through.
"It looks like she struggled to get away," Trent muttered, his voice low and even.
I felt a lump form in my throat as I took in the chaos. Where was Lunawyn? Was she okay? I tried to push aside the fear, focusing on finding her.
Trent's eyes scanned the room, his gaze lingering on every detail. He was searching for clues, anything that could lead us to Lunawyn. I followed his lead, my eyes scouring the space.
That's when we saw it - her phone, lying on the ground, partially hidden under the couch. Trent picked it up, his fingers brushing against the screen. Suddenly, it beeped, and a notification flashed on the screen.
"She's in a safe place," the message read.
We exchanged a skeptical glance. What did it mean? Was it a message from Lunawyn or someone else? Trent's eyes narrowed.
"This doesn't feel right," he said, his voice laced with concern.
I nodded, my mind racing. We had to find Lunawyn, and fast. I couldn't shake off the feeling that we were running out of time.
"Who could have sent this?" I asked, my voice barely above a whisper.
Trent's expression turned grim. "I don't know, but we need to find out."
We stood there, frozen in uncertainty, our eyes locked on the phone. The silence was oppressive, punctuated only by the sound of our ragged breathing.
Suddenly, Trent's face hardened. "We need to get out of here," he said, his voice firm. "We need to find out who's behind this and where Lunawyn is."
I nodded, my heart pounding in my chest. We would find her. We had to.
With a shared sense of purpose, we stepped out into the unknown, determined to uncover the truth and bring Lunawyn home.
together. Our footsteps were the only sound, a steady beat that echoed our determination.
We would find Lunawyn, no matter what it took.
But the question lingered - who was behind this? And what did they want with Lunawyn?
The uncertainty hung over us like a cloud, casting a shadow over our every step.
We would find out, though. We had to.
For Lunawyn's sake, we would leave no stone unturned.
