                    "I accept."
"Really? That's it? No fighting against it or throwing a tantrum?" He asked, an eyebrow raised in question.
"That's it." I said, never once breaking eye contact.
"Hmm, that's interesting, I guess you're finally knowing your place in this family." He said with a thoughtful expression and my skin prickled.
I had come to dislike those two words, "my place".
Who was he or anyone else to tell me where I belonged?
I bit my tongue to stop myself from snapping back at him. I wasn't stupid and I knew he held all the cards in this... Game we, no he was playing.
I hadn't forgotten the fact that he wanted to use me as a pawn. Nothing more. Sometimes I wondered whether he even saw me as his daughter with the way he spoke.
"Since you've agreed, there's no reason to deny you of your request is there?" He started to say and my spirits lifted slightly.
"But there's a catch," he added and my spirits fizzled.
Oh boy, here we go.
"What's that?"
"I'm giving you three days... Let's call it a probation period. You'll be allowed to go anywhere in the pack house you want with your assigned guards," he said, emphasizing on the guards.
"And if you are on your best behavior, I'll drop the surveillance to just one guard and I'll even let you choose which one as a little treat." He finished with a self satisfied smile on his face.
I wanted to protest that that wasn't the deal we made but my mind flashed to the brown eyed guard and I kept my mouth shut.
"Fine."
"Good."
He glanced at the clock briefly then looked back to me.
"And since it's still morning, we should start your probation period today."
"Fine."
"Since there's nothing left to discuss, I'll see you in three days right?" He said with a smile.
"Right."
I turned to leave but he stopped me.
"Oh, and take care of that arm. We wouldn't want Alpha Orion thinking we are treating you badly."
"I will." I responded with a tight smile of my own.
Alpha Orion didn't give a shit about me, I doubted he would care especially since it was Lykania who had caused it.
I left my father's office and went in the opposite direction of my room. The three guards followed close behind without making a comment to stop me.
My Father didn't waste time in linking them about the change of plans that's for sure.
I didn't know where I was going yet, I just knew I needed to get away from my room and breathe some fresh air. And think.
Of something to do because I was not going to do what my father said. The moon goddess hadn't brought me back to life for that.
I turned a corner and ran into Lykania being her usual bitchy self. I didn't want to stop and deal with her but it was the sight of Daisy on the floor crying that got me rushing over to them.
"What happened?" I let out as I helped Daisy back to her feet.
The floor was littered with broken glass and what looked to be split juice.
"I'm sorry." Daisy said mid sob.
"Well this stupid brat wouldn't watch where she was going and ran into me." Lykania fumed.
"Lykania!"
"Why are there even dirty pack children in the house anyway."
"How can you say that, she's just a child and she said she was sorry."
I glanced around for anyone but besides the guards there was no one else here. No wonder Lykania could show her ugly personality so easily.
The guards were a few feet away so I doubt they heard what she had said.
"It's okay baby, everything's going to be alright." I said in an attempt to placate Daisy. She held me tightly and buried her face into the crook of my neck.
"It's alright Lykania, she didn't hurt you."
"She didn't? Look at my dress." Lykania seethed then pointed to her juice soaked dress.
"It's just a dress."
"I don't care, I want her to pay for what she did."
"She's five." I said through gritted teeth.
Did Lykania have no heart? Daisy was just a little kid damn it.
"Well someone has to pay for the dress."
"Fine, I will." I offered.
The smile on Lykania's face made me realize I said the wrong thing.
"Or you know what? Why don't you wash it for me instead, then I'll let the little girl go."
I looked down at Daisy's crying form then dragged my eyes back to Lykania's smirking face.
"Fine."
"Great. I'll come give you the dress tomorrow. I hope you haven't forgotten your way to the laundry room." Lykania shrugged then walked off leaving the mess for someone else to clean up.
Just great.
"Hey, you." I said to the sour faced guard and he muttered under his breath before stomping over.
"Get a maid to clean this up." I instructed then lifted Daisy into my arms.
The two other guards came forward and that's when I noticed the third guard had a firm grip on the younger brown eyed one.
Damn, I also needed to know his name. I couldn't keep calling him brown eyed, brown haired guard for much longer.
The brown eyed guard had a pained expression on his face as he looked at something. No, he was looking at Daisy and that's when it hit me.
His eyes were very similar to Daisy's. That's why they looked familiar.
Why hadn't I seen it before?
"Do you know her?" I asked and he dragged his eyes away from Daisy and gave me a slow nod.
"She's my sister." He whispered.
He came up to me and took Daisy from my arms. She immediately wrapped herself around him and I gave him a small smile when his eyes met mine again.
"Thank you for standing up for her." He said, his eyes shining with gratitude.
"Your welcome."
"So where to? And are we leaving the kid?" The third guard asked.
"Her name is Daisy, and she stays." I corrected him.
"And we are going to the garden." It was only fitting.
