                    Luciano's POV
Her eyes were locked onto a book full of records that was placed on the counter, her brow furrowed in concentration. She raised up her head to gaze at me, a hint of a smile on her face.
"Welcome to the national art gallery," she said, her voice warm and inviting. "How can I help you gentlemen today?"
I flashed her a charming smile. "Just here to buy some art for decorations for the new exhibit.
"Victor nodded in agreement, his eyes scanning the counter. "Yeah, we're looking forward to seeing what you have."
The woman's eyes lit up with enthusiasm. "Well, you've come to the right place. We have an incredible collection of art and artifacts. Let me just check you in real quick.
"She tapped away at her computer, her fingers flying across the keyboard. "So, where are you gentlemen from?"
Victor chimed in, a mischievous glint in his eye. "Seems you're not that popular with the locals."
The woman's expression changed, her brow furrowing in concern. "What does he mean?" she asked, her tone urgent.
I chuckled, trying to downplay Victor's comment. "Don't mind him; he's my beta.
"The woman's eyes widened, and she took a step back, her voice trembling slightly. "Beta? That means you're the Alpha of this pack... sorry, sir, for an inappropriate welcoming."
I held up a hand, trying to reassure her. "Never mind, I'm just here to buy some art for the decoration of my pack house. We're having the middle year festival, where people get their wolves.
"The woman nodded, still looking a bit flustered. "Give me a minute," she said, turning her attention back to her laptop.
After a few minutes of tapping away at her computer, she looked up at me, a more composed expression on her face. "Okay, sir, someone will be here to take you to the trading section."
I nodded, feeling a sense of relief that the awkwardness had passed.
A minute later, a staff member appeared, a friendly smile on his face. "This is him," the woman at the counter said, nodding in my direction.
"Please follow me, Alpha Luciano," the staff member said, gesturing for us to follow him down the hallway.
We trailed behind him, our footsteps echoing off the walls. Victor leaned in close, a whisper escaping his lips. "You think she's okay? She seemed a bit shaken."
I shrugged, my eyes fixed on the staff member's back. "I think she's just not used to dealing with shifters."
Victor nodded, his expression thoughtful. "Yeah, maybe."
The staff member stopped in front of a door, a small plaque reading "Trading Section." He pushed the door open, revealing a spacious room filled with rows of artwork.
"Welcome, Alpha Luciano," he said, bowing slightly. "Please, take your time to browse our collection. We have a wide range of art pieces, from local artists to international ones."
I nodded, my eyes scanning the room. "Thank you, we'll take a look around."
The staff member smiled, backing away. "I'll leave you to it, then. If you need any assistance, just let me know."
As he departed, Victor turned to me, a grin spreading across his face. "Alright, let's go find some art."
I chuckled, clapping him on the back. "Let's do it."
"How I wish Lunawyn were here," Victor added. I narrowed my eyes and walked towards a large painting, I studied the painting closely and saw the name of the artist written in a little font on the side of the painting.
"I'm taking this!" I said getting Victor's attention, he was at the other end of the room, still looking for art to buy.
"Ok... I'll soon get one. I'm sending the pictures to Lunawyn first so she'll help me choose!" He said.
The name looked familiar to me. It has my surname on it: Lykon.
The name on the painting was Paul Lykon. This name was so familiar; it was the name of my grandfather's brother, the beta of this pack in his time.
I was shocked. "A painting this old is still in this gallery and was still new." I whispered to myself as I scanned the mirror, rubbing my hands through the edges,
I walked towards another painting, and his name was still written in the painting. I had just noticed that most of the paintings where I stood were all drawn by him.
I smiled, being shocked that I had a great artist in my family once.
I walked to the different painting; my eyes hardly got off of the ones I passed. "Lunawyn said we should pick a vase, an ancient vase." Victor said.
I turned my gaze to him, with a weird expression on my face, "an ancient vase?...." I paused as Victor shrugged with a I don't know expression on his face.
"Does she think we're in the museum?" I asked again, seeing that Victor didn't care about what I was saying anymore... his attention was stolen by the art.
I walked towards a bronze sculpture, a half-human head and a half-werewolf head. "Hmmm," I said, satisfied. I walked and asked it as my attention was drawn by another artifact: a glass-sculptured moon.I held it and looked at my reflection in the mirrors; I could feel something happening as I stared at the mirror, but I was quickly distracted as the door creaked wide open.
It was the girl from earlier who was a tourist. She came in with the guy from earlier too.
"So sorry, ma'am... there's nothing to buy here because I'm taking everything home." I could see the staff's expression; he was excited, but the woman was shocked.
"Ok, so you heard him... we'll tell someone to pick the artifacts up later," Victor said; it looked like he liked my decision.
"So you'll package everything before the person comes... do you get it?" Victor said. The staff nodded sternly and watched us leave the room.
We reached the counter and informed, "We're done buying."
She nodded with a warm smile before we exited the building.
