Luciano's POV.
"My back aches like hell," I said as I held my waist and twisted sideways, relieving myself from the cramps I felt.
"Me too," Lunawyn said, doing the same. The sun had already fallen completely, and it was dark; we've worked from the down lobby to the lobby upstairs.
We even hung some paintings on the wall of the stairs. I had to return some paintings because I didn't want my packed house to look like an art gallery.
"Ok, so we need to make arrangements for the foods and drinks," I said, referring to Victor, who just stood there, still admiring the paintings. He had worked a lot, but he didn't feel any cramps like Lunawyn and I.
"Ok, the maids will be on that now; I'll send the guards to get the drinks ready," Victor replied and walked downstairs.
Lunawyn and I stood there quietly as we looked at what we'd arranged. I admired the paintings one by one, walking to the left; Lunawyn did the same, but she walked to the opposite side.
"It's breathtaking," I heard Lunawyn say. "Yeah," I whispered, my eyes lost in the paintings.
"What does the middle year festival look like in your expat pack?" I asked,
She hesitated before replying, "Just normal..."
Normal? I thought that wasn't an answer.
"We'll normally do it outside on a large field, then we set campfires while the teens ready to get their wolf normally stay quiet close to the fire...." She replied,
"Ok... It's really normal," I said, nodding my head.
"But anyone who doesn't get their wolf by that night will be killed and instantly!" She said with a serious expression on her face.
I turned to look at her with confusion etched on my face. I've actually been to her ex-pack's middle-year festival, but I haven't heard that someone used to be killed if they didn't get their wolf on time.
Anyways, I can't argue with a member of the pack, I thought. She turned to look at me, seeing my shocked face,
Her expression immediately changed from serious to smiling, and then she burst into laughter. "I'm kidding... That really got you off the hook," she said.
I sighed in relief from the tension I was already feeling.
"But actually then we put on our best clothes and glowing shoes that shined under the moonlight as we danced." Lunawyn said her expression was mildly serious.
"And oh, that reminds me, do you have nice outfits in your wardrobe?" I asked, and she turned to gaze at me. "No, I don't," she replied.
"Okay, so what are we waiting for? Let's go do some shopping!" I said she looked at me with an unsure expression.
"I don't think so... It's already late; look at the time." She said, I gazed at my watch; it was just 7 o'clock.
"C'mon, there's still time," I said and walked towards her, dragging her arm. "Let's go buy you some clothes," I said, smiling. She looked at me and smiled, and then we came downstairs. We reached the pack's house exit door and saw Victor talking with some maids.
"Where are you guys going?" Victor asked.
"We are going shopping," I said. Victor glared at me with a confused and shocked expression. "Shopping?" He asked again, unsure if he had heard correctly.
"Yeah," I said, and I opened the car door for Lunawyn to go in. She stepped in, and I locked the door.
I turned around, walking to the other end of the door; I entered the car and turned on the engine.
I turned on the headlights and drove. We waited for the gatekeeper to open the gate, and we drove out.
Driving on the private road, I told Lunawyn to go online on her phone so she'll Google the best luxurious shopping mall in the city.
"Look at one," she said, showing me her phone screen. The place was quite good and luxurious too. I smiled. "Ok, let's go here to check the location," I said.
"Already done that, and I turned it on to the map in your car, so it should display right now," she said, pointing to the GPS screen in my car.
"There you are," she said. I looked at it; it was just a few miles away from here.
"Ok, let's go," I said and revived the engine a little before driving at a semi-high speed.
After some minutes we reached the shopping mall, and as I came out from the car, I raised my head to look at the name.
"Fashion home," I said. The building was a tall skyscraper, while the dome was built of transparent glass, designed with golden lights.
"Wow!" Lunawyn said as she came down.
She couldn't hide the excitement inside her. "Let's go," she said, letting her curiosity get the best of her.
"Ok," I said and held her palm as we walked inside. The building was so big that I was very sure that it wasn't only clothes they sold here.
We walked towards a girl at the counter. "Hello," Lunawyn said.
"Hello, Mrs.," the girl at the counter said.
"No, I'm not a Mrs.; we're not married," Lunawyn said, pointing to us.
"Ok, sorry, Miss, what can I do for you?" She asked.
"We are here to buy some clothes, the luxurious type," I quickly caught in.
"Ok, my manager will be here any second to take you there, sir," the girl at the counter said and returned back to what she was doing.
Lunawyn couldn't help but look around. I know she should have left going to look at the clothes around this floor if I hadn't held her hand.
Soon a well-built woman wearing heels and a corporate skirt walked towards me. She bowed slightly, "Good day, Alpha Luciano. What brings you here?" She asked,
"I'm here to buy some clothes, the luxurious type," I replied, and then she shifted her gaze to Lunawyn. "I didn't hear you were married." She said she noticed the way I held Lunawyn's hand.
"No, I'm not," I replied.
She gave a warm smile before saying, "Come with me."
