I walked back into my room with Trini feeling a bit frustrated that we still had some time to kill before the party. Luciano had just told us that we'd have to wait a bit longer since it was still pretty early. I let out a sigh and flopped down onto my bed.
"We should just stop preparing now and take a nap till it's time for the party," Trini said, making herself comfortable on the bed beside me. I nodded in agreement, feeling a bit sleepy all of a sudden.
I placed my hand on the doorknob and pushed it open. "Back to this room," I said and walked straight to my bed. Trini shut the door and sat down on the bed beside me. I lay down but was feeling so uncomfortable because of the gown.
"I'm having a hard time resting because of this gown," I said and stood up from the bed. I pulled off the gown and opened my wardrobe, shoving the clothes inside. I put back on my casual clothes and went back to the bed to try and get some sleep.
"Laura, I think I'll go change too." Trini said, standing up from the bed. "I could still use some sleep." She opened the door and shut it behind her before leaving. I could hear the echoing sound of her heels as she walked through the hallway.
Just then another knock sounded on the door. I was surprised—how did Trini change so quickly? I thought. "Come in, Trini," I said, but as the person walked past the door, my eyes lit up in shock.
"Trent, you're back," I said nervously trying to sound cool. He shut the door and walked towards me, a smile on his face.
"Yeah, I just wanted to spend some time with my friend," he said. I forced out a smile, feeling a bit awkward. He looked at me and smiled too, and for a moment we just sat there looking at each other.
I felt a bit uncomfortable, but at the same time it was nice to see Trent again. "So what have you been up to?" I asked, trying to break the silence.
Trent sat down on the bed beside me, and I could feel his eyes on me. "I've been good," he said. "Just been busy with some stuff." He smiled again, and I felt my heart skip a beat.
We chatted for a bit, catching up on each other's lives. It was nice to have Trent back, and I found myself feeling more and more at ease around him. As we talked, I couldn't help but notice the way Trent looked at me. It was like he was seeing me for the first time, and it made me feel a bit shy.
But at the same time it was nice to feel like I was important to someone. And as we sat there on the bed talking and laughing, I felt a connection with Trent that I hadn't felt in a long time.
Just then Trini walked into the room. "Hey Trent, how are you doing?" She asked, sounding cool. Trent smiled. "I'm good, and you?" He asked.
Trini walked towards us; she was already changed back to casual clothes. "Nothing much, just packing duties," she replied and flashed a warm smile. She sat down, and the three of us were sat on the bed. I felt a cold embrace as the three trio were back together.
It felt like old times again. The three of us just hangin out and talking. I glanced over at Trent, and he was smiling at me. I smiled back, feeling a sense of comfort.
Trini started telling us about her day, and we listened intently. It was nice to just relax and be ourselves. No drama, no stress, just the three of us hanging out.
As we chatted, I realized that I had missed this. I had missed just being able to hang out with my friends without any worries. And as I looked over at Trent and Trini, I felt grateful for them.
They were my friends, my confidants. And I knew that no matter what, I could always count on them. We talked for a bit longer before Trini glanced at her phone.
"A lot of hours have passed," Trini said, nodding. "Seems like we didn't even have to sleep.... The company made us laugh and talk till the time was ready for us to go," she added.
With a contended smile on my face, I reached for my phone; I glanced at the screen for a moment, thinking Trini might be joking.
My eyes lit up in shock; it was already time. How? I thought we just got into the room about a few minutes ago.
Seems like the company of the trio might have made us lose track of time.
"Guys, we should probably get going soon," she said. I nodded in agreement. It was almost time for the party.
Trent stood up and stretched. "Yeah, let's get going," he said. I stood up too and straightened his clothes. "Ohh, you guys are not dressed up yet." He said, "Ok, I'll meet you guys at the exit door," Trent added and left the room.
Trini was already heading for the door. "I want to go get dressed," Trini said. I nodded, and she left the room.
I took out my dress from the wardrobe and wore it. I straightened it a little till it was perfectly fixed on me.
I stared at the window; it was completely dark; the sun had already run from the sky. I walked towards it and shut the window and closed the curtains.
I walked to the door and stared at the room for a moment before shutting the light. I locked the door and walked upstairs, going to Luciano's room.
I reached his floor and already saw him locking his door and Victor by his side. I stood there speechless as I stared at them in awe.
