Lunawyn's POV.
I walked into the pack house, feeling a bit exhausted from the night's events. Luciano followed closely behind me, his eyes scanning the room as if searching for something. We reached the kitchen, and I headed straight for the fridge, feeling parched.
"Do you want something to drink?" Luciano asked, his voice low and smooth.
"Yeah, water would be great," I replied, smiling weakly.
He nodded and pulled out a bottle of water from the fridge, handing it to me with a smile. I took a long swig, feeling the cool liquid soothe my dry throat.
"Thank you," I said, handing the bottle back to him.
Luciano put the bottle back in the fridge, his eyes never leaving mine. We stood there for a moment, the tension between us palpable.
"You're too grateful," he said, his voice tinged with amusement.
I smiled, feeling a flutter in my chest. "I can't help it," I replied, my voice barely above a whisper.
Luciano's eyes seemed to bore into mine, as if searching for something. I felt a shiver run down my spine as he took a step closer to me.
Suddenly, his phone rang, breaking the spell. He frowned, looking at the screen with a mixture of annoyance and concern.
"I have to take this," he said, his voice apologetic.
I nodded, feeling a pang of disappointment. Who was calling Luciano at this time? And why did he look so serious?
I watched as he walked out of the kitchen, his phone pressed to his ear. I couldn't help but wonder who was on the other end of the line.
I shrugged and walked out of the kitchen, heading to my room. As I lay in bed, I couldn't shake off the feeling that something was off.
This was the first time I'd seen Luciano receive a call, except for that one time when his ex-fiancée called. I wondered if it was her again.
I tried to push the thoughts aside, focusing on getting some rest. It was only 12 am, and I was exhausted.
But my mind kept racing, questions and worries swirling in my head. Who was Luciano talking to? And what was going on?
I sighed and closed my eyes, trying to calm my racing thoughts. But I couldn't shake off the feeling that something was brewing, something that would change everything.
I finally drifted off to sleep, my mind still racing with thoughts of Luciano and the mysterious phone call. But as soon as my head hit the pillow, I was out cold.
*Next day*
The next morning, I woke up feeling refreshed and rejuvenated. I stretched my arms and yawned, feeling the sunlight streaming through the windows. I got out of bed and began my morning routine.
First, I made my bed, smoothing out the wrinkles and fluffing up the pillows. Then, I folded the curtains and opened the windows, letting in a gentle breeze that carried the scent of fresh flowers.
Next, I headed to the bathroom to take a bath. The warm water felt amazing on my skin, and I took my time, savoring the relaxation. After my bath, I reached for my brush and brushed my teeth and washed my face, feeling refreshed and revitalized.
I walked back to my room, feeling a sense of calm wash over me.
I pulled off the robe and put on some casual clothes. I took a look at the T-shirt I took from Luciano, and it was clean, so I just wore it instead.
I sat down on my bed, not feeling hungry yet. I reached for my phone and began browsing through the internet, scrolling through social media and reading the latest news.
After some minutes later,
As I scrolled, I started to feel a pang of hunger. I put down my phone and stood up, deciding it was time to head to the kitchen to eat.
I locked my door behind me and walked towards the kitchen, my stomach growling with anticipation as I held it tightly.
When I reached the kitchen, I was greeted by the warm smiles of the maids. They had already prepared food, and the delicious aromas filled the air. I smiled and greeted them, and they greeted me back, bowing slightly as if I were a queen.
I was taken aback by their sudden show of respect.
I remembered the times when they used to insult and disrespect me, and I wondered what had changed. Maybe Luciano had told them to respect me behind my back, or maybe they had seen my relationship with Luciano and had decided to behave, thinking maybe I'll be the future luna.
One of the maids, a petite lady with a kind face, approached me with a tray of food. "Take it, Ma, this is your food," she said, her eyes shining with sincerity.
I was taken aback, my eyes widening in shock. "Take it, Ma. I know we've treated you wrongly before, but we've amended our ways," the maid continued, her voice filled with remorse.
I hesitated for a moment, unsure of what to say. But then I smiled and took the food, saying thank you. The maid smiled back and bowed, and I felt a sense of relief wash over me.
I took my food and left the kitchen, feeling a sense of gratitude towards the maids. Maybe things were finally starting to change around here. I walked back to my room, feeling a sense of hope that I hadn't felt in a long time.
I pushed the room door with my legs and walked into my room with the trail held in my hand.
I reached my bed and sat down; I looked at the food in delight and took the first bite.
"Nice grilling," I said, nodding with food in my mouth.
I was done eating after some minutes of complimenting and eating all together; I wiped my mouth with my hand and dropped the trail on the floor.
"What a nice meal."
