Lunawyn's POV.
I settled into my bed, resting my back against the bed frame. I wanted my food to digest and settle, so I decided to chill for a bit.
I reached for my phone and continued browsing through the internet, scrolling through social media and reading the latest news.
My eyes paused on a particular headline—it was talking about the most influential and popular boutique in the pack.
I clicked on the headline, curious to see what it was all about. The top-ranked boutique was called "Fashion Home," and it had been ranked number one out of ten. I exited the article and continued browsing through my phone.
A few minutes passed, and I started to feel more relaxed. My food had digested, and I was feeling pretty free. I stood up from my bed and walked over to my wardrobe.
I had some laundry to do, so I took out the dirty clothes and headed out of my room. I locked the door behind me and walked towards the laundry room.
When I opened the door, I saw the other servants busy doing their laundry. I dropped my dirty clothes on the floor and looked around for a bowl to put them in. One of the maids, a kind-looking woman with a warm smile, approached me.
"Ma, don't worry; I'll wash them," she said, her voice calm and pleading.
I shrugged, not wanting to be a burden. "No, don't worry; you're already busy with the laundry you have."
But the maid continued to plead with me, saying that if Luciano saw my laundry in their presence, he wouldn't take it lightly. I nodded, understanding her concern, and handed over my clothes.
"Thank you so much," I said, flashing a warm smile before leaving the laundry room.
As I walked back to my room, I couldn't help but feel content and stress-free.
I had the maids doing almost everything for me now, and it was a huge weight off my shoulders. I felt like I could waste my time on anything I wanted, and it was a liberating feeling.
I approached my room door and opened it, stepping inside and closing it behind me. I sat down on my bed and looked around my room.
There was nothing to do, and I felt a little bored. But it was a good kind of bored—the kind where I could just relax and enjoy the silence.
I lay down on my bed, staring up at the white ceiling. The ceiling lights were on, but they didn't bother me. I smiled to myself, thinking about what Luciano had done for me.
He had given me a new life, one where I didn't have to worry about anything.
I thought about his ex-fiancée, and a sarcastic smile spread across my face. "I wonder how that bitch feels now?" I said out loud, not feeling even a hint of pity or remorse.
After everything she had done to me, I figured she got what was coming to her.
I touched the scar on my face, remembering the pain and humiliation she had inflicted on me. But now, I was the one living in luxury, and she was the one rotting in the dungeon.
It was a fitting end to her story, and I felt no sympathy for her whatsoever.
As I lay there, I couldn't help but feel grateful to Luciano. He had given me a new life, one where I was treated like a queen. And I was determined to make the most of it even though I knew fate could change and I might not still end up with Luciano.
I jolted back after hearing a knock on the door. "Who might that probably be?" I whispered to myself, wondering who could be visiting me at this time. "Who's there?" I asked, my voice a little louder.
The person hesitated for a moment before responding. "Miss Lunawyn, it's me. I'm here to give you a spa session," the person said from the other side of the door.
I was taken aback. "Spa section?" I whispered, my eyes widening in surprise. I couldn't believe it. I was being treated like royalty.
I composed myself and responded, trying to sound calm. "Okay, you can come in. The door is not locked."
As I waited for the person to enter, a smile formed on my face. I couldn't help it. I chuckled softly, feeling a little giddy.
The lady opened the door and walked into my room. "Good day, Miss Lunawyn," she greeted, her voice warm and friendly. "You look beautiful today."
I giggled, feeling a little shy. "Thank you... you look beautiful too," I replied, trying to sound sincere.
The lady smiled and walked towards me, carrying a box. "Ma'am, can you please lie down?" she asked, her eyes sparkling with kindness.
"Yeah, sure, sure," I replied, feeling a little awkward.
I lay down on the bed, and the lady sat down beside me, gently lifting my legs onto her lap. She began to massage my toes, her fingers gentle and soothing.
I closed my eyes, feeling myself relax. This was heavenly.
The lady took out a balm from the box and applied it to her palm before rubbing it onto my legs. Her hands tickled a bit, and it made me laugh.
"Sorry, ma'am," she said, smiling. "I'll try to be more gentle."
I opened my eyes and smiled at her. "No, it's okay. It feels nice," I reassured her.
The lady continued to massage my legs, her fingers working out all the knots and kinks. I felt myself drifting off to sleep, my body relaxed and my mind at ease.
This was the life.
As time passed on, she didn't even flinch, showing any sign of tiredness; instead, she enjoyed every moment of it.
I smiled at her seeing her personality, a quiet, smooth one who just tried helping others.
She was just like Trini, just that Trini wasn't quiet; Trini was talkative, and she's so aware of it.
I continued studying the girl as I felt her hands on my skin; she wasn't applying so much force like someone who had ill intentions; instead, she took it steady and slow, following a rhythm.
I was forced to ask her,
"Lady, please, what's your name?"
