                    Lunawyn's POV.
I looked at Lola, her eyes wide open, waiting for me to respond. "My name?" she asked, her voice soft and gentle.
I nodded, "Yeah, your name."
She smiled, a satisfied smile etched on her face. "Ma, my name is Lola."
I hummed, trying to process the information. "Hmmmmm, okay Lola."
I paused, adjusting my position on the bed. "Are you tired?" I asked, looking at her with concern.
Lola smiled and looked at my toes, then back at my face. "No, ma'am Lunawyn, I'm not tired, but I can stop anytime you want."
Her expression was smooth and innocent, but I couldn't help but wonder what was going through her mind.
I probably wondered what might be going through her mind now. She was so quiet and unreadable.
"So, ma'am Lunawyn, you were saying you're enjoying it, right?" She asked, her eyes locked on my toes and legs as she gently massaged them.
I nodded, feeling a sense of relaxation wash over me. "Yeah, I'm enjoying it. Why did you ask?"
Lola hesitated, her eyes still locked on my legs. "Just that everyone in this pack house is trying to be your friend... So you saying you're enjoying it is giving me the determination that I can be your friend one day."
Her gaze was still lowered, and I could sense a hint of shyness in her tone.
"Yes, you are my friend. Everyone is my friend," I said, trying to sound friendly, even though I knew it wasn't entirely true.
A smile formed on her face, and she looked up at me with excitement. "So I'm your friend now?"
I was taken aback by her enthusiasm. "It's not a big deal being my friend," I said, trying to downplay the situation.
But Lola's face lit up, and she looked like she had just won the lottery. "Ma'am Lunawyn, it's a big deal to us. We've all dreamt of becoming the Luna's right-hand servant... So we are trying to become your friend, so when you eventually become the Luna, you'll make one of us your right-hand servant."
I felt like I had been punched in the gut. Now I got it—they all weren't just doing it for respect or kindness; instead, they were using it as an opportunity to get close to me, so I'll choose them as my right-hand servant.
Like, are they all mad? Is Trini not there? I thought, my expression already sour.
"You don't even know if I'll become the Luna," I said, trying to sound calm.
But Lola's eyes lit up, and she looked at me with an energetic expression. "Ma'am Lunawyn, you are probably going to be the Luna."
I retreated my legs; I didn't want any of it again. I was no longer enjoying it.
"Please leave; I feel okay... Thanks, you did a great job," I said sarcastically and stood up. I dragged her up and pushed her towards the door.
Before she left the room, the only word she could still force out was, "You can still reconsider and put me as your future right-hand servant."
Like, can you imagine? That meant all that helping and assistance all those maids were showing were just fake, not meant. They're doing it for their own selfish motive.
I locked the door; I had already had enough. I walked to my bed, feeling so irritated by Lola's character.
I lay on my bed and looked at the ceiling expressionlessly. I felt like my legs needed more of that massage, and she had forgotten her box, so she'll be here in no time.
I heard a knock on the door just as I had expected. She was there. I stood up, taking the box from my bed as I reached the door. I opened it. "Take this; it's your box," I said.
As I turned to look at the person, it wasn't Lola, but another maid holding folded clothes in her hand. I bet my laundry had been done.
"Ma, is this for me?" she asked, with a smile on her face.
"No, it's for Lola. Can you help me give it to her?" I asked.
Her face lit up. "Yeah, why not?" She said and took the box from my hand. "So ma'am, where will I keep these clothes?" She asked.
"Give it to me," I said reluctantly.
She rushed past me, entering my room. "Whoa, your room is bigger than the rest of us.... Oh, I forgot you're the future Luna," she said.
Was that jealousy or what? I dragged the clothes from her and kept them in the wardrobe.
She walked around my room, but there was nothing actually interesting to see here. And just then she sat on my bed, my eyes lit up in confusion and anger.
"Please leave; you've finally given me my clothes, so I think it's time you leave," I said.
She turned up an innocent face. "Why!?" She asked.
I didn't reply and dragged her out of the room.
"Whoa, what's all this? I need to tell Luciano this is enough," I said to myself, feeling frustrated.
I walked over to the door and locked it, making sure I was alone. I took a deep breath, trying to calm myself down.
Why were all these maids being so clingy? Didn't they have anything better to do?
I walked over to my bed and sat down, feeling a bit overwhelmed. I looked around my room, trying to find something to distract me, but I couldn't find anything.
Then I remembered about Luciano; he had told me to come collect all those perfumes, and my gown is still there, so I have to take it.
I stood up from my bed and left the room. I locked the door and proceeded through the hallway.
I made sure I didn't come in contact with Lola; I reached his room door and hesitated as I heard Victor's voice and his too,
I held the doorknob, about to push the door, but I stopped; I wanted to knock first.
"Knock, knock."
