Victor's POV.
"It's very obvious that Henry is manipulating Alpha Luciano, like he is using a kind of spell," I said. I couldn't just shake off the feeling that Henry was up to something we don't know about, and Alpha Luciano is just falling into his trap.
"That guy is not to be trusted," I added. Clara nodded in agreement, "You're right, Alpha Luciano seems too gullible." She said,
The elevator door slid open, and we walked through the hallway. Clara entered her office while I walked towards Luciano's office. I thought she was coming, but she just stopped at her office.
"Aren't you coming in?" She asked, and I paused and turned to gaze at her.
"Ohh, I thought we were going to Luciano's office to fill in some paperwork," I said. She narrowed her eyes.
"We have more better things to do; he should tell Henry to do it," Clara said, seeming like she was already sick of Henry's behavior.
I thought they were already getting close; I thought they were going to be couples one day because of the way they had spoken to each other the day before the festival.
I walked back to her office and I looked around looking for a place I could sit and cool my nerves, but there wasn't any chair in her office except for the one beside the table, and she was sitting on it.
I sat at the table and turned to her, "I thought you guys were getting to know each other better... Like before the middle year festival, you guys were exchanging numbers," I said, making her frown.
"I regret ever giving him my number... Can you imagine that he didn't even call since then?" she said, with a disappointed look on her face.
"Ok?" Unsure of what to reply, she raised her head to look at me.
And then lowering her gaze again, she stood up from her chair and came to sit with me at the table. "Now you won't have to be uncomfortable... You stayed uncomfortable just to speak with me... Aww, that's nice of you," she said.
My eyes lit up in shock and disbelief. She asked me to come in; I didn't want to turn down her request, so I came.
"Ok?... Let's continue talking about Henry," I said. She nodded.
"And I forgot to tell you that guy is an incredible actor," she said. I was actually shocked; I knew he was a manipulator but not an actor.
"How?" I asked.
"The way he acted like he was giving Alpha Luciano all the credit..." She paused, "Before Alpha Luciano came, he was telling the paparazzi how he brought up the plan without anyone's help, and he's even supposed to be the CEO of this company, just that he had messed up back in the days, so much people don't still like him," she added.
I was actually shocked; it seems like Henry has more skills than we thought.
"And that's not all just that I've forgotten." She said.
I sat there in stunned silence trying to process everything Clara was telling me. I had no idea Henry was such a skilled manipulator and actor.
"I had no idea," I said, finally shaking my head. "I knew he was trouble, but I had no idea he was this bad."
Clara nodded in agreement. "I know, right? He's like a chameleon or something."
I frowned. "What do you mean?"
"He can change his story and his personality to fit whatever situation he's in," Clara explained. "It's like he has no conscience or morals whatsoever."
I knew what she was talking about; we've dealt with him before, I and Luciano.
He was very tricky and could make the strongest of them all fall into his trap.
"When a man is driven by anger and jealousy, he normally gets more chances of winning because of his motivation." I whispered to myself.
Clara gazed at me, "What's that?" She asked curiously, making me shrug, "Nothing; I was just thinking about something," I said. Seeing she wasn't satisfied with my reply, I quickly shifted the topic.
"We have to tell Alpha Luciano about this," I said. "He needs to know what kind of person Henry really is... He knows who he is, but it seems like he's forgotten, like he's brainwashed.
Clara nodded. "I agree, but we have to be careful how we approach this. Henry is a master manipulator, and he'll stop at nothing to get what he wants."
I nodded. "You're right; we need to come up with a plan to expose Henry without putting ourselves in danger."
Clara thought for a moment. "I think I might have an idea," she said, "but we'll need to be careful and strategic if we're going to pull it off."
I leaned in eager to hear her plan. "What is it?" I asked
Clara smiled mischievously. "Leave that to me," she said, "but for now let's just focus on gathering more information about Henry and his true intentions."
I nodded in agreement. "Sounds like a plan to me."
We spent the rest of the day gathering information and digging up dirt on Henry. It wasn't easy, but we were determined to expose him for the manipulator he was.
As the day drew to a close, Clara and I met up again to discuss our findings. "So what did you learn?" I asked
Clara frowned. "I learned that Henry has a reputation for being ruthless and cunning in business," she said. "He'll stop at nothing to get what he wants, even if it means hurting others."
"I know that already... We've dealt with him before... It's a long story."
Clara's eyes widened in shock. "Ok... I guess I have to execute that plan," Clara said.
I nodded in agreement.
"We will, but we have to be careful. Like I said before, Henry is a master manipulator, and he'll stop at nothing to silence us," Clara said.
That wasn't a problem; I have my crew, and they were going to investigate more on this matter.
