                    Victor's POV.
I sat on Clara's table; she had already left. She said she had some important things to do. I raised my hands to my face as I stared at my watch. "The time is already 6, and Luciano hasn't been anywhere to be found." I said worriedly, I got up from the table to go call him. But I paused; I don't even know what floor he is on. He was on the 15th floor for that board meeting, but I'm not sure he'll still be there.
I sat down at the table, ready for him to pass Clara's office. Just then I heard footsteps approaching; the person had already passed Clara's office door. I stood up from the table, and opening Clara's door, I saw Luciano opening his own door. I came out of Clara's room and locked it as she had instructed me to.
"Where have you been?" I asked. Luciano turned to gaze at me, his face expressionless. "Hey, Victor," he said, and went into the office. I walked towards him and stood at the door. He was taking his briefcase from the office, then he walked to the window and locked it. He came out of the office and locked the door.
"Let's go," he said. I nodded and followed him. We entered the elevator and pressed the button for the first floor. We arrived at the first floor and walked out of the elevator. We walked out of the building, and I sighed, feeling the fresh breeze hit my face. Immediately I started feeling warm, because my body was no longer feeling the air conditioner.
We walked to the gate and walked outside. "We are taking the same car, Victor. I'm not feeling so good about driving," Luciano said. I nodded. "Ok, what about the other car?" I asked, and he looked around for a moment. "Uhh, I think we'll just park it inside the company." He said, "Go park it, Victor." He added and handed the keys over to me.
I walked towards the car and opened it. I inserted the key into the ignition and turned on the car. I shifted the gearshift to reverse and stepped on the gas. I easily maneuvered my way until the car was straight, facing the company's gate. I honked twice, alerting the gate security to open the gate; he opened it, and I drove in.
I parked the car in the parking lot and turned the engine off. I came out of the car and straightened my suit. I walked out of the company's compound, walking towards Luciano, who stood there like a mannequin waiting for me.
I was with the car keys, so he couldn't get in until I opened the car with the remote lock. I brought out the keys from my pocket and pressed the remote lock button to open. The car door made a clicking sound, and Luciano reached for the handle as he opened the car.
He entered into the car and closed the door. I walked to the driver's side and opened the door, entering into the car. I inserted the keys into the ignition and turned on the engine. I shifted the gearshift to drive and stepped on the gas.
As we drove in an uncomfortable silence, I was trying to tell Luciano to stay clear of Henry, but I didn't want him to say I was jealous, so I held my tongue several times.
"Victor," Luciano called out my name. "Yes, what's the matter?" I asked, my gaze locked on the road. "Uhh, seems like I've gotten some abilities... Not lycanthropy, but something better," he said.
I narrowed my eyes. "Can that even be possible? Every wolf ability is granted onto them once they gain lycanthropy," I said. He nodded, "Yeah, I know that I was shocked too," he said.
I didn't reply because I didn't believe it. "You got to believe me; I was able to hear what that paparazzo guy Wolf was telling him," he said. My eyes widened. "There's actually nothing like that," I said.
"Okay, show me, tell me what my wolf is telling me now," I added. He squinted his eyes, as if he was focusing all his sight on one particular thing. "Ahhh! I can't," he said.
I could see the sincerity in his eyes; he was not lying, and how could he even be joking with that kind of thing? "I can't do it... But I swear I read that guy's mind," he said.
I nodded. "Okay, I believe you. I know you're stressed; that's why you can't do it now," I said, encouraging him. He smiled, and I smiled too; my gaze was locked onto the road.
I made a U-turn, entering the private road. I could see the pack house from miles away; it was a really tall and large building, built from ancient times but always getting renovated at any new generation.
We entered the building and parked in the parking lot, then came down. Luciano and I straightened our suits. "Who has that jacket? I've been seeing you holding it since…" I asked Luciano. He turned to gaze at me. "It's mine," Luciano said. I nodded, and we walked towards the exit door.
"Welcome back, Alpha Luciano and Beta Victor," the two guards at the exit door greeted in unison. We waved and walked into the hallway. We climbed the stairs and walked towards Luciano's room.
Luciano opened the door, and we entered into the room. "Oh goddess, I'm starving," I said, holding my stomach.
"Yeah, me too," Luciano said.
"I'll go grab something for us to eat," I said.
"The maids no longer bothered to bring my meals anymore," he said and sat on his bed; he removed his tie and unbuttoned some buttons on his shirt.
"I'll go now," I said and exited the room. I walked downstairs, walking towards the kitchen.
I saw some maids by the kitchen door; they greeted me, I waved, and entered the kitchen.
"Prepare something for me and Alpha Luciano; now we're starving," I said. They bowed slightly and turned on the stove.
