                    Trini's POV.
Next Day
I sat on my bed as I rubbed my eyes. I still felt sleepy, but I had to wake up for the morning duties.
I was still in my bed trying to wake up fully. I held my eyelids up for a while. I finally stood up from the bed and took my toothbrush.
I needed to get ready early so I could finish my duties early so I could have some leisure time for myself.
I came out of my room and walked to the public bathroom in the pack house. It was a bathroom made for the servants.
They were actually separated, the male bathroom and the female bathroom.
I reached the female bathroom and reached for the toothpaste. I applied it to my brush and started scrubbing. Soon other female servants came in to brush their teeth and bathe.
I put on a towel and entered one of the bathrooms. The bathrooms were constructed into sections.
When I was done, I came out of the bathroom. I let out a long sigh in relief.
I walked back to my room and opened the door. I pulled off the towel and took out my duty clothes.
I wore them and smiled.
Then my mind drifted back to Trent. We had been so close since that festival; he still says I'm his friend, but I'm sure there's something more to it.
Even I, I'm kind of liking him too. I felt my cheeks flush red, as my mind couldn't stop thinking about Trent.
I left the room, ready for what was ahead that day.
I first reached the cleaning supply room and took out a bucket and a small rag.
I was on duty to clean the paintings.
I started cleaning upstairs first as I gently scrubbed the paintings with the damp rag.
"Hey, Trini? How are you doing?" A female servant said. Her name was Casey, a middle-height lady with shoulder-length blonde hair.
"I'm good, Casey. What about you?" I said with a warm smile on my face.
"I'm good, thanks." She said smiling, she held a bucket filled with soapy water and a mopstick in her hand.
"I was assigned to mop the floors, so you're in the way," she said with a calm and smooth tone.
"Ohh, sorry, but can you just let me go ahead of you, like, far, so you'll be able to mop the area?" I said. She shrugged as she thought about it, then her expression softened.
"Okay, please be fast," she said pleadingly; I nodded with a warm smile on my face.
I cleaned the pictures as fast as I could; I'd made sure there was no stain at all because I knew how much the people of this pack cherish these paintings and artifacts.
"I think this is far enough." I said showing how the space I had left for her to mop.
"Yeah, thanks," she said with a warm smile on her face. She dipped the mopstick into a bucket of soapy water and started mopping.
Countless drops of water splashed on my skin, but I remained quiet.
I watched as Casey expertly mopped the floor; her movements were smooth and efficient.
I was impressed by how quickly she was able to clean the floor.
"You're really good at that," I said.
Casey looked up and smiled. "Thanks, I've had a lot of practice."
I nodded. "I can tell."
We chatted for a bit longer as Casey finished up the mopping.
When she was done, we said our goodbyes, and I continued on my way.
I had a few more paintings to clean before I was done with my duties for the day.
I made my way to the next painting and began to carefully clean it.
As I worked, my mind started to wander back to Trent.
I couldn't help but think about how much I had enjoyed spending time with him at the festival.
and how much I was looking forward to seeing him again
I felt a flutter in my chest as I thought about him.
I couldn't believe how much my feelings for him had grown in such a short amount of time.
I was so caught up in my thoughts that I didn't even notice when Casey came back into the room.
"Hey, Trini, are you okay?" she asked.
I jumped and turned to her. "Oh yeah, I'm fine, thanks."
Casey looked at me with concern. "You seemed a million miles away."
I smiled. "I was just thinking about something."
Casey nodded. "Okay, well, if you're sure you're okay."
I nodded. "Yeah, I'm positive."
Casey smiled and headed back out of the hallway.
I watched her go and then turned back to the painting I was cleaning.
I tried to focus on my work, but my mind kept wandering back to Trent.
I couldn't help but wonder what he was doing right now.
and when I would see him again.
I sighed and tried to shake off my thoughts. I needed to focus on my work and not get distracted by my feelings for Trent.
I took a deep breath and tried to clear my head.
I focused on the painting in front of me and began to clean it with renewed attention.
As I worked, I felt my mind start to clear and my focus return.
I was determined to get my work done and not let my feelings for Trent get in the way.
I worked steadily for the next few hours until I had finished all of my tasks for the day.
I felt a sense of satisfaction and accomplishment as I put away my cleaning supplies.
I had done a good job, and I was proud of myself.
I headed back to my room feeling happy and content.
As I changed out of my duty clothes, I couldn't help but think about Trent again.
I wondered what he was doing right now and if he was thinking about me too.
I smiled to myself as I thought about him.
I couldn't wait to see him again and find out if he felt the same way about me.
I got into bed and drifted off to sleep with a happy heart.
I opened my eyes.
"I can't sleep," I said; the sunlight emitting from the window was enough to stop my sleep.
"I need to go see Lunawyn."
