                    Trini's POV.
I got up from my bed and walked towards the door. I looked at the room for a moment and sighed before opening the door to leave.
As I walked towards Lunawyn's room, I was thinking about the advice she'll give me and mostly about her reaction when I tell her I kind of like Trent.
Since the middle year festival event, I felt drawn to him. Like my wolf was calling out to him.
The feeling was actually strange.
I haven't had my mate yet, so I don't actually know how a mate bond felt. "Need to ask Lunawyn about it," I said. I reached her room door and knocked.
For a minute I didn't get any reply, so I knocked again. "Lunawyn, it's me, Trini," I said.
Just then I heard footsteps walking towards the door.
The door flipped open, revealing Lunawyn's sleepy face. "Hey, Trini?" She said, "I was just about to take a nap," she added.
"Ohh, I can leave and come later," I said, trying to sound helpful. But her face lit up with refusal. "No, no, come in... I'm not feeling sleepy anymore," she said with a warm smile on her face.
With a satisfied look, I nodded before walking into her room.
"I wanted to talk to you about something," I said before sitting down on her bed.
She turned to gaze at me and shut the door. "About what?" She asked before walking towards me.
I hesitated and exhaled. "It's about Trent," I said. She sat on the bed. "What about him?" She asked with concern etched in her tone.
"I think I like him," I replied. Her face didn't even light up a bit; she wasn't even surprised or shocked.
"Ok?... But I already know you like him," she said. My eyes lit up. "What?" I said surprised, "How did you know?" I asked.
"I've been noticing you too and...." She paused. "I was even planning to make you guys tighter so it'll be more official," Lunawyn said.
She was putting on that Miss Know-It-All expression.
"I think he's my mate.... Though I haven't had any mates, so I don't know how the bonds feel like..." I said, "But I feel this strange connection between us," I added.
"Okay?" Lunawyn said unsure, "What do you think?" She asked.
"It's kind of weird, though; I can't say," I replied and gazed at the floor. I was actually ashamed because at first, me and Trent were not going well as friends, and now he's my mate. It's really, really kind of weird.
"Okay, you can keep what you think to yourself if you feel so uneasy to talk about it," she said. I smiled, "Thanks... It's really awkward," I said, and we both burst into laughter.
I could feel an uneasy tension spreading like wildfire around the room. But Lunawyn's face was simple and calculating.
"I want you to help me ask him if he feels the same for me so I'll know it's really the mate bond," I said, making Lunawyn turn to look at me.
"Are you sure?" She asked.
"Uhhh... Maybe, yes... I don't know; just help me ask him!" I said, my voce filled the room i was feeling so tensed.
"Whoa... You're really tense right now; see beads of sweat forming on your face," Lunawyn said and stood up. "Let me go grab you a cold towel," she added and walked towards her wardrobe, opened it, and pulled out a towel. Then she walked into the bathroom, and I could hear the shower splashing to the ground.
She came out of the bathroom and walked towards me, "Here you go," she said and handed over to me the towel. "Just use it to cool your head down for about a minute," she added and sat down.
"Thanks," I said,
"You're welcome..." She said, and a smile started to form on her lips, "How can you be this tense?" She asked.
I raised up my gaze to her, "What do you mean?" I asked,
"You know what I mean?" she said, "Or are you shy about telling me that you have a feeling for someone?" She said,
"You can always tell me anything, Trini... Everything can always have feelings," she added with a warm smile on her face.
"Yeah, yeah, whatever..." I paused and stood up. "I'm out of here; see you later," I said and walked towards the door.
I held the doorknob and turned to Lunawyn. "Don't forget to help me ask Trent," I said. I could see the sarcasm in her eyes, so I left because I knew she wanted to laugh.
I walked down to the kitchen as my stomach growled like a hungry lion.
"I'm so hungry," I said and continued to walk to the kitchen.
When I reached the kitchen, I opened the door only to see Casey and Mika washing the dishes.
"What's up, girls?" I said; they both turned to look at me with a smile on their faces.
"The moon, I guess?" Mika said and burst into laughter. She actually was somehow sarcastic, but she liked it a lot.
"Hahahaha." I forced a laugh out of my mouth.
"What did you guys cook today? I'm starving," I said. Just then Mika's eyes lit up; she was going to say another sarcastic thing, and just as I was excited, she said, "Who asked if you're starving?" She said and laughed again.
"How good am I now at sarcastic replies?" She asked.
If I actually maybe say she's not good, that means that she was going to continue and even come up with more annoying sarcastic replies. And if I tell her she was good, she won't stop being so annoying, so I just gave her a thumbs up and walked towards the plate rack.
I took a spoon and a plate and opened the pot; the aroma of the food filled my nose, "Hmm."
I dished my food and took a spoonful into my mouth, "Nice cooking."
