                    Luciano's POV.
I sat there as I felt the cool air conditioner cooling my nerves. Victor was nowhere to be found; it was still a tough thing for me to process.
He doesn't sleep so late, and he hardly drinks alcoholic drinks, so how was he not awake by now? I wondered, rubbing my chin in disbelief.
"Anyways, let me just put my head in the duties ahead," I said and crossed my leg as I spun sideways on the spin chair.
My hands were locked onto my chin, just lost in my thoughts. I was wishing that Victor could just walk through the door.
"And where is Clara? She ought to be here with the schedules of today," I said with a confused expression on my face.
I raised my hand up to my face to check what the time was, "10 AM. And they're both nowhere to be found?" I exclaimed with confusion etched on my face.
I stood up from my chair and stretched a little before walking out of the office to leave. I walked out of my office towards Clara's own.
I reached her office door and stood there in shock. My eyes lit up and popped out like they were going to fall off.
"Where's Clara?" I asked myself; she was not in her room, and her room was scattered with piles of paperwork scattered to the ground.
"What had happened here?" I asked myself, with confusion etched on my face. I walked further into the office, checking in my surroundings, looking at the room gently.
I saw the board she normally writes my schedules on. I picked it up and took a glance at it.
I turned the pages, and then I saw the page for today, the one that she had already scheduled for today.
"Then why didn't she come with it?" I asked myself, then I realized that she rushed for a very important one, the one that she didn't even have time to tell me about.
"What might that be all of a sudden?" I said, "I saw Ger this morning, and she was cool with her reassuring smile, and then what just happened all of a sudden?" I added.
I dropped the board on the desk and walked outside the office; I tilted my head sideways, excepting maybe she'll be coming already.
I walked towards the elevator. When I reached it, I pressed a button and patiently waited for the elevator to come.
Finally the elevator came, the door slid open, and I walked into it. I pressed the button for the first floor.
I arrived at the first floor, and the door slid open. I walked out of the elevator as I searched around for Clara; still, she was nowhere to be found.
I walked towards the securities. They bowed slightly, and one of them was about to open the door so I could come out. "No, I'm not going out," I said, "I just want to ask a question. Did Clara walk out of here this morning?" I asked.
"Yes, sir, she did. She was kind of anxious and scared; it looked like something bad had happened," one of the security men said.
"Ok, I'll be on my way now," I said and walked out of the building. I walked to the parking lot thinking about Victor and Clara. "What has happened to them?"
I entered my car since there was nothing else to do. I turned on the engine, driving to the pack house.
I drove through the highway, my mind preoccupied with thoughts of Victor and Clara. Where were they? What had happened to them? I couldn't shake off the feeling of unease that had settled in my stomach.
As I drove, the scenery outside my window changed from bustling city streets to rolling hills and finally to the private road that led to the pack house. I could see the packhouse from a distance, its sprawling structure nestled among the trees.
I drove into the pack house building, the sound of gravel crunching beneath my tires. I pulled up to the entrance and turned off the engine. I sat there for a moment, collecting my thoughts before getting out of the car.
I stepped out of the car and took a deep breath, feeling the cool breeze fill my lungs. I looked around, taking in the familiar surroundings of the pack house. Everything seemed normal, yet I couldn't shake off the feeling that something was off.
I walked towards the entrance, my eyes scanning the area for any sign of Victor or maybe even Clara. But there was no one around except for the servants that roamed around. I walked towards the exit door and was greeted by the two guards that stood there.
"Good day, Alpha Luciano... You're back so early," they both said in unison.
I nodded, "Yes," I replied, and as soon as I was about to take another step, I held back, "Have you seen Victor since this morning?" I asked. Their face lit up, "No, sir, we haven't." They replied in unison as they both stared at their selves in confusion.
I nodded and walked into the building. "This meant that Victor is not even in the pack house at all," I said.
I walked upstairs, towards his room. My eyes scanned his room for any sign of life. But everything was quiet, the only sound the creaking of the old wooden floorboards beneath my feet.
I tried peeping through the corners, but the doors were sealed tight with no spaces for me to peep into.
I sighed and walked back into my room. I opened the door and entered into it. I walked towards my bed and sat on it. I brought out my phone, wanting to dial his number again.
I dialed his number, and it wasn't going through. My eyes lit up in confusion.
"What's wrong with him?" I asked myself and threw my phone on the bed with anger.
Both Clara and Victor were nowhere to be found, and their phones weren't going through either.
