Lunawyn POV.
"Luna, get up. It is already morning" I heard the sound of my mother's voice.
I opened my eyes, and blinked repeatedly trying to get a grasp of my surroundings.
Was this how the moon was supposed to look like?
"Lunawyn, get up" I heard my sister's voice also.
I gasped and sat up quickly, my palm immediately going to my belly.
"Is my child alright and how the hell did I survive that?" I looked at Lykania, the betrayer of what she had done blinding me with rage.
"What child? What are you speaking of?" My mother stared back at me in confusion.
Was this another plot of theirs?
My eyes met with the blue exquisite dress Lykania was holding. It was the dress I had remembered wearing and it looks brand new, like it was newly tailored.
"How did you get the blood of it?" My eyes widened.
"What blood?" Lykania looked truly perplexed.
I stood up rushing over to the calendar in front of the dressing table.
My eyes widened again with shock and disbelief.
How did I go back to 2 years ago?
I had questions, questions it didn't seem I was going to get an answer to.
I turned back, looking at my mother and sister. I had nothing to say, nothing to make of this.
"Put this on and coke downstairs" my mother ordered, placing the dress gently on the bed.
I watched them turn their back and began heading towards the door not before Lykania murmured about me having to see a doctor.
I freshened up and wore the dress with a blank mind.
I was supposed to be dead. What cruel fate was the moon goddess playing at?
Today would be the day I turned 23, and Orion would reveal that he knew I was his mate and propose to me.
We have been dating since I was 20, and today marks our anniversary because I met him on my birthday.
"Happy Birthday Lunawyn!" My mother and sister yelled immediately I reached the end of the stairs, and the light went out.
But I wasn't fazed, I already knew how this would turn out.
All of the pack members would be present, and the light would be turned on again.
And as I had mentioned, the light was turned on, and I noticed a large number of people. Some faces I could recognize and the rest fitted into the background.
"Happy birthday to our Luna." They all yelled together.
Today was the day I was given the title of Luna, which felt surreal to me at the time. But now, I could only stare at them, boredom soaring high within me.
I was aware now that the smile I had always received from my sister, mother and father was fake so I paid them no heed and stared at the little gathering.
"Are you not pleased about this?" Lykania whispered into my ears, gently bumping me with the side of her waist, and I looked at her with a fake smile of my own.
"I am just so overwhelmed" I said, and a smile graced her lips.
A smile that did not reach her heart. The old Lunawyn would have thought she meant well when she smiled, but the dead emotional Lunawyn would not.
"This is not you, Wyn. You would have jumped up in delight." She said, and I scoffed internally.
I would only jump in delight after I have exerted my revenge.
"Are you sure you don't need a doctor?" She asked, placing her palm on my forehead to feel for my temperature and I rolled my eyes.
Look at her acting like she cared.
"I am fine, really. It is a new age, I want to take life seriously now" I responded.
"True, you are getting old"
We both laughed and I had the urge to scratch myself.
"A party has been thrown for you at night. Trust me, you are going to love it." She smiled eagerly, taking me into her embrace.
"Get things started, please!" My mother declared, and I realized the moon goddess had been so kind to me.
I never expected to be back here, but I am here to make a difference.
My hands rested on the trails as I gazed at the prestigious Alphas and Lycans who had gathered for me.
I would have been happier to see people respect my new age, but that was no longer me.
I sighed tiredly, sucking on my tooth as I considered what I wanted to do today and my eyes caught sight of Orion talking to my Father.
That scum.
I never wanted to be involved with Alpha Orion, ever again.
My eyes scanned the crowd as I adjusted the blue beautiful dress that complimented my slim figure and beautifully wrapped hair.
Lykania and Orion made their way towards me and I noticed the subtle look they gave each other.
I was truly a fool not to have noticed it.
I had overlooked the love in their eyes and the way they interacted with one another but now that I could see things clearly.
I wouldn't be made a fool twice.
The more I stared at Orion, the more hatred I developed for him.
"Happy birthday, Lunawyn of Cormar Pack." I heard a woman praise as she passed me and to be honest, I despised the feeling of getting wishes on my birthday.
To me, I was over the age of 23, and my heart bled as I sought revenge.
"Luna would now deliver a heartfelt speech to the members." The announcer said, and I approached the man, taking the microphone from him.
"Friends, family, and beloved pack members," I said, looking at everyone to see if they were there.
"As we gather here tonight to celebrate my birthday, I would like to take a moment to express my heartfelt gratitude to every one of you. Your love and support mean everything to me, and I consider myself extremely fortunate to be a part of this amazing pack."
Everyone clapped and Alpha Orion approached shortly after, smiling. He knelt on the floor, his hands now clasped together as I stared at him in confusion.
Not that I was not expecting it, but was he that dumb to notice I was in the middle of an appreciation?
"I have always loved you, Lunawyn. In the three years I have known you, you have been the best part of me." He paused, and the voice at the back of my mind told me the connection I shared with him " would you marry me, mate?"
I smiled, staring down at him then the answer came loudly and clearly. "No"
He moved back, clearly taken aback by my rejection and I was about to do more than that.
"I, Lunawyn of the Cormar Pack, reject you, Alpha Orion of the Orion Pack, forever," I announced at the top of my voice.
He will feel the pain I had felt that day.
Everyone gasped at the realization of what I said and I could hear whispers and gasps from both sides as I walked away.
They didn't care when I had lost my baby when I was at the verge of losing my life because of that monster. Why should I care?
