                    Luciano's Pov.
The morning started like any other. I woke up early, stretched out the stiffness in my muscles, and got out of bed. The room was dimly lit, with the soft glow of the rising sun peeking through the curtains. I hot up from my bed and took a quick shower. I opened my wardrobe glancing through the clothes to fine the perfect fit for today.
I got dressed and got put of my room. I made my way downstairs, where Victor was already waiting.
"You're up early," I said as I joined him at the dining table.
He smirked. "And you're not?"
A maid walked in with our breakfast, setting down plates of eggs, toast, and coffee. She greeted us politely, and we nodded in acknowledgment before digging into our meal.
The food was good, but my mind was already shifting toward the day's workload. After finishing breakfast, we stepped outside and got into the car, driving to the company.
When we arrived, the familiar sight of employees bustling around greeted us. Some nodded in respect as we passed by, offering polite good mornings. We took the elevator up to the top floor, the usual routine. Everything felt the same, just another day of handling business.
But we were wrong.
The moment we got to our office, Clara was already there, her arms crossed as she waited. That wasn’t unusual. What was unusual was the slightly uneasy expression on her face.
"Good morning," she greeted, but there was something off in her tone.
I raised a brow. "Something wrong?" I asked
She hesitated for a second before exhaling. "You have a business meeting today with some pack investors" she said.
Victor and I exchanged a glance. We had meetings all the time, but something about the way she said it made it seem different.
"Which pack?" Victor asked.
Clara shrugged. "I don’t know the exact name. It wasn’t specified. But from what I heard, it’s going to be different from what you usually do."
I frowned. "Different how?"
She shook her head. "I’m not sure. I was only informed that they want to discuss an alliance—business-related, of course."
That was strange. Most business collaborations followed the same structure, and we always knew who we were dealing with ahead of time.
Victor leaned back against the desk. "And we agreed to this meeting?"
Clara nodded. "Yes. It was arranged through trusted connections, so it’s not some random approach."
I sighed. "Fine. When are they arriving?"
"In an hour," she said.
I rubbed my temples. "Great. Let’s prepare, then."
Time passed quickly as we reviewed documents, making sure we were ready for whatever this meeting was about. Soon, a message came through—our guests had arrived.
Victor and I made our way downstairs to the meeting room. The doors were already open, and inside stood two men dressed sharply, exuding a presence that was hard to ignore.
As we entered, they turned to face us, and we finally got a clear look at them. We had heard of them before, but we didn’t actually know who they were until now.
One of them stepped forward with a calm yet confident expression. "Luciano, Victor," he greeted. "It’s good to finally meet in person."
Victor and I exchanged another glance before nodding. "Likewise," I said. "We’ve heard of your pack before, but we weren’t expecting a direct collaboration."
The man smirked slightly. "I can understand why. But allow me to clarify—we are allies of Marcus and Dorian." He paused for a moment before adding, "And any friend of theirs is a friend of ours."
That explained a lot. If they were connected to Marcus and Dorian, then this wasn’t just some random business proposition. There was a deeper reason behind it.
"That changes things," Victor said, his expression more serious now. "What exactly are you proposing?"
The man gestured for us to sit, and we all took our places at the table. "We want to establish a business line between our packs—one where we support any business endeavors moving forward. Your company is already a powerhouse in its own right, but having strong allies is never a bad thing."
It was an interesting offer. Having a secure business alliance meant resources, connections, and mutual support in times of need. But it also meant obligations.
Victor leaned forward. "And what do you gain from this?"
The man chuckled. "We both gain, that’s the point. Stability, security, expansion—it benefits all of us."
I considered his words carefully. On the surface, it sounded good. But alliances required trust, and trust wasn’t something I gave easily.
"You trust us enough to make this offer?" I asked.
The man nodded without hesitation. "Like I said, Marcus and Dorian trust you. That’s enough for us."
I glanced at Victor, who gave a slight nod. This wasn’t a bad deal, and turning it down might mean losing out on a valuable connection.
After a moment, I spoke. "Alright. We’ll move forward with this. But understand—trust is built, not given freely. We expect mutual respect in this agreement."
The man smirked again. "Of course."
With that, we shook hands, sealing the start of this new business relationship. The rest of the meeting was spent ironing out details, ensuring everything was clear on both sides.
Once everything was settled, our guests stood up. "It was a pleasure," the man said.
"Likewise," I replied.
Victor and I escorted them out to the parking lot, watching as they got into their cars and drove off.
As we turned back toward the building, Victor spoke up. "Well, that was unexpected."
I nodded. "Yeah. But I think it’ll be beneficial in the long run."
He hummed in agreement. "Let’s hope so."
With that, we headed back inside, back to the usual routine of running the company. It was just another day, but something told me this business alliance was going to change things in ways we hadn’t anticipated yet.
