"No!" My voice travelled through the hall and so many of the guests' faces morphed into one of shock. I couldn't blame them too, even I surprised myself with my voice.
"I am not going to go back with you ever! Get that through your thick skull!" My throat strained with how loud I yelled, and I don't know if it was the shock, but Orion's grip on me lessened as I bolted away from him before I could think about it.
"Really Wyn, after everything -"
"After what! After cheating on me, and what's more disgusting is that it's with my sister." The end of my words was a hush but I could feel the air in the room come to a stand still. And the reason for it took threatening steps towards me, her face a mask of thunder.
"How dare you? What gave you the right to accuse me falsely?" Her lips were stretched wide, and her eyes held a crazy expression that had me backing up.
Thanks to her longer than long sleeves, I couldn't see if her claws were fully extended but knowing her, they probably were and were out ready to strike.
"Wyn, that's enough, don't accuse your Lykania like that," Orion said, his expression softening when he looked at her. Hell, he even took on a softer tone just calling her name and I felt sick to my stomach. The contents of all the buffet food I had downed threatened to come back up and I swallowed, hard, to get my throat from riling up.
"Accuse her falsely huh?" I let out a laugh, humorless and furious because what I couldn't understand was why.
On Lykania's part, her motivation was obvious but it hurt deeply that my once upon a time mate could betray me. And betray me so badly with my own sister.
"Wyn, you know it's not true, you're just being stubborn that's-"
Blood rushed in my ears and I glared right down to his soul. He clamped his mouth shut, and even Lykania faltered in her steps.
"Do you think I'm so stupid not to see what was going on with you two? Sneaking away, having nicknames for each other, going to parties I wasn't invited to together and staying away for the night, the touches, the glances, I could go on and on and on. The signs were there and I ignored them thinking nothing much of it but that didn't last either." My voice dwindled and a ball of pain formed in my throat as I listed off everything I had failed to see a lifetime ago.
Flashes came to mind, of the night where I had caught Orion and Lykania heading out. They had gone separately but I hadn't thought anything- until an hour passed and they were getting to be seen. Clueless and stupid Wyn had wandered the hallways until I heard noises coming from Lykania's slightly open door. Not wanting to intrude, I had left thinking she had scored with one of the hotties at the event. But that thought quickly died when she came back in, and it was very subtle, but I could scent Orion on her. And I had still thought nothing of it. That was a lifetime ago and after coming back, it was all glaringly obvious what a fool I had been.
I stared at Lykania's shocked face and Orion's speechless look. They mirrored the looks you get when your reputation is ruined.
"What, you thought I didn't notice?" My lip tilted up, my nostrils flaring as I took slow steps towards them.
"You both are pieces of scum and I have to say, you deserve each other, two cheats."
Murmurings. They were the only thing that carried through the room besides my strained voice now.
Lykania's anger had started to bubble on the surface again and she bared her teeth at me.
"You stupid bitch, I'm going to fucking kill you." Her words were slow, but her movements were fast. But I was faster.
"Right back at you sis," I whispered back.
My hands stung as they landed on her cheek and she stumbled a few steps back, her hands nestling her face as she glared at me, pure fury in her eyes. She wasn't backing down and bolted towards me before Orion could get to her, her eyes carrying a crazy look in them as she rushed for me madly.
I clenched my fists and waited. I was so going to enjoy this.
We smashed into a table as we brawled, and I couldn't recognize her face anymore, not with the amount of times I had punched her. This time I had gone all out, claws extended and all. And as petty as I could be, I gave her a matching slash in her arm, reminiscent of the garden and that night in my room, and I made sure to go deep beneath the skin before letting go. I knew those injuries would take a bitch long time to heal.
Orion, my Father, Trent, Varin, I lost count of how many hands came to pull us apart and I struggled. My gaze was lazy focused on the crazy haired Lykania as she struggled against the others holding her back.
"That's enough from both of you!" Our Father yelled, but his voice was in the distance because all i could hear was the blood rushing rapidly in my ears and the wild pounding beats of my heart.
A quick glance showed my Father, his face uncharacteristically red and blotchy as he tried his best to control the already out of control situation.
"Wyn, enough about the lies of your sister." My mother quietly called and i suddenly became annoyed at all the hands holding me from going back to beating away my anger through Lykania. My mother gazed at her daughter, eyes filled with pain and I wanted to go over there and shake her so some sense would fall out of her because it was seeming that she had none.
Daughter, no plural because apparently I wasn't anything in her eyes. Her very motherly gaze was casted towards Lykania who was yelling profanities to the lighted up chandeliers.
"Lykania was right, you are crazy."
