He rushed at me wildly, his neck strained as aggressive red veins popped out of it. He yelled out his fury before he was swarmed by Trent and some others as they held it down.
"Get it together, Orion!" Varin shouted.
"Fuck you!"
Orion exchanged heated words with those holding him but I could care less about the profanities he was shouting.
My gaze racked over the successfully entertained crowd, their murmurings increasing by the minute. I had given them enough gossip to last for the next few weeks.
A sigh left my lips, long and tired and I suddenly felt how heavy my body was. My hands stung badly and my body felt like it had been placed in a bag, and dragged across a jagged road, but considering my fight with Lykania, it wasn't too far off.
Speaking of which, she had her cronies surrounding her as they tended to her cheek rather was now the size of a strawberry, the same colour too. Her eyes burned into the side of my face, and her look alone appeared like she was plotting my murder.
"That. Is. Enough."
Silence. Silence that was louder than the murmurings of the crowd descended into the hall as everywhere went hush, and it was all because of three measly words that my Father had said.
But not to be fooled, those words held immense power, and I could practically feel the force of his command ripping through the air and across the room. I was sure even members of the other packs felt the weight of his command.
I glanced at him, and my heart legit stopped in my chest. He looked furious, more than furious even, and the ferocity of his glare was directed at only one place- me.
I swallowed, knowing that I was about to face the punishment of my lifetime for denying Orion and disobeying a direct order that he had given, and to top it off, it was all in front of the masses he had invited.
He snapped his fingers, and Nicky boy materialized by my side, his face as stony as ever. Another guard stood to my left, and they both grasped my arms in a bid to hold me. But I wasn't naive enough to think it was to protect me.
Varin was still held tightly by his Father's men while Trent stood deathly still, unable to fight a direct command from my Father.
I was escorted out, along with Lykania and Orion who were both burning holes through either side of my head.
I had thought we were all going to the same place even though I was the only one who had guards stopping me from bolting, but I was mistaken, again, when Lykania and Orion shuffled upstairs as if heading to the room area while I was led underground.
This couldn't be good. This couldn't be good at all.
The rough hands of the guards pushed me faster and I stumbled on my feet the farther we went underground. The air was stuffy, and the hallway was unlike the one in the main pack. This one was dusty, dirty and the fowl smell of something rotting filled the damp stony looking walls.
The guards came to an abrupt halt, and this time, I tripped on my own feet, kicking a stone and plopping to my knees with a thud that was not encouraging to hear.
"Oh for fucksake, will you get up!" The order was thrown at my crumpled heap on the floor as Nicky boy roughly pulled me back in my feet as the other guard opened the cell. A cell.
If I had been fearless and bold before, now it had come back to me ten times over and my heart shook as I was shoved harshly into the cramped, dark space of the cell.
"Enjoy your new home. You're going to be here a while." The other guard grinned, the dim illumination of the hallway casting a half shadow on his face that made him look menacing.
The cell banged shut as I felt my heart rise unsteadily at the uncertainty of the place. The lock clicked closed and all I heard were the receding footsteps of the guards. I was left alone in the dark, in a cold, dingy cell. I didn't even want to think about the smell oozing off the walls for fear that I would throw up if I found out what it was.
The cell had one sorry looking bench held like a collection of wood up against the side of the cell and I stumbled my aching body towards it. The walls were damp and gritty and scratched against the exposed skin of my arms.
Through the dim light, I stared at my exposed arms, dried blood caked in it from the attacks I had endured.
My eyes roamed over the cell as I tried to formulate a plan to escape and I had... Nothing. The cell bars were too small for me to pass through, and the only window that was practically useless was high up with no stepping stool to get to it. Even if I could, it was the size of a shoe box.
I expelled a breath, then rested my aching head against the cold wall and thought of what to do. A lone tear ran down my cheek as my mind was boggled with images of the entire night up to this point.
It still seemed unreal to me that my Father had thrown me into a cell, and I didn't even know for how long.
I sniffled, and the lone tear in my eye quickly became a stream of flow in both eyes, I couldn't help it. And right now, my situation looked hopeless.
There was nothing Trent could do to help me, and I was sure Alpha Vincent would get in the way of Varin helping me. The same thing went for Simon because my Father would convince him to focus on his mate, and Trent would since he still had the early mating brain.
My eyes lolled shut and I was carried off into a painful sleep due to sheer exhaustion alone. I collapsed against the wall and I prayed that I wasn't as hopeless as I felt.
